  1. That might have something to do with the away support comprising people who want to support The Rams - and quite a large proportion of the home support comprising contributors to the 'Warne Out Out' threads - people just waiting for that first mistake so they can vent their spleens. You know - a bit like on here.
  2. You ought to spend more time painting - then we wouldn't have to read your tedious, puerile drivel. It's utterly pathetic the way some Derby 'fans' come across.
  3. This thread continues to be as pathetic as those who post in it. Oh, wait.....
  4. Seems to be the case with some. He is revered in the same way that Trump is. Muskers - the new Trumpers?
  5. Having sat through about 20 minutes of the puerile tripe "Eastern Europe according to the mind of Vladimir Putin" (honestly, I couldn't take any more), it contains as much sense as was written on the side of a bus in 2016 - and judging by the comments on here and elsewhere, it seems to appeal to the same target audience.
  6. My mum and granny both worked as cooks at the British Midland Hotel, where the team were ensconced under a strict night-time curfew in the days leading up to the final. Reg Harrison and Jackie Stamps were friends of the family, so naturally the ladies showed them the way out of the kitchens in order for serious 'team building' to take place (probably in the Brunny).
  7. This feed captures the start nicely. It develops very quickly, to a full-blown fissure eruption, in minutes. You have to dial the slider back a few hours to around 06:02.
  8. Here we go again. Off and on. we've got this to look forward to for decades in the Reykjanes region.
  9. That works out at around £16K per week, which in my view is bloody outrageous.
  10. Aging population, with insufficient care places available - patients cannot be discharged unless there is somewhere for them to go. This leads to 'bed-blocking', so if the original patient cannot be discharged, then the next one cannot be admitted. Couple that with a shortage of staff (there are something like 120,000 vacancies which cannot be filled because there's no-one to fill them) and the lowest percentage of critical care beds compared to other developed countries - and you have a very sick NHS indeed.
  11. I was reading about a section of the current ruling party's lurch to the right under Theresa May and a few friends and like-minded associates. Just waiting for the headline which writes itself really... "Farage And Senior Conservatives In Secret Meeting"
  12. But...but...but Boris promised us 50 new hospitals, and £350m a day extra to the NHS. It was true, I tell you - I saw it on the side of a bus.
  13. I'm sorry, but it really doesn't work that way. Encouraging more people to go private will mean more doctors and nurses drawn into private medicine for longer (many consultants and doctors now divide their time between the NHS and private medicine), coupled with fewer and fewer resources being made available to the NHS.
  14. Still won - with what some would term a 'classic away performance'.
  15. Certainly used to be the case. I still have a soft spot for Ped, together with some of the Burton Bridge Porters (and Tickle Brain, of course), but very little else is worth looking at. Nowadays, Derby is home to far better breweries, in my opinion.
  16. Nobody could ever accuse me of being a royalist (Kev is the one and only 'King' as far as I am concerned) but I wish Charles no harm whatsoever, and a speedy recovery.
  17. Damned Foot-In-Mouth disease. Still no cure, I see.
  18. Always the measured approach. The people in this thread suggesting that we're not even going to make the playoffs are the dyed-in-the-wool Warne haters. Even a win, away from home, isn't good enough for them. No team in the division has won more games than Derby, no team has a better goal difference than Derby, each time we've faltered we've managed to pick it up again - yet here we are, certain to drop right out of the automatics, slide down the playoff positions and finish 7th or 8th, just because we failed to sign <insert player here> and that is totally Warne's fault, of course. As always.
  19. Automatics - I don't mind which. At the start of the season, I said that it was our third spell in the third tier, and in the two previous times, we had got promotion at the second attempt, and I saw no reason at all why this season should be any different to the others. You can analyse points per game until you are blue in the scrotum for all I care. The fact that Posh and Notlob were on good runs means nothing - both have to pick themselves up after disappointing results today. Derby, according to a few of you, are faltering, because we've only picked up 10 points in the last 5 games. Well, so have Portsmouth, so have Bolton, so have Peterborough and so have Barnsley. The 'form' team, if there is one, is Stevenage. 4 wins in 5. Or, at a stretch, Leyton Orient with 4 wins and a draw. I think we'll be ok. That might be my boundless optimism, strange drugs or alcohol speaking, but it's a darned sight better than the inane, depressing drivel that is churned out on here when we win, let alone lose.
  20. Glad you used the 'thumbs up' emoticon after mentioning Warne.
