  1. Payback's a bitch for the absolute daylight robbery we suffered at the hands of your bunch of cheating scumbags and one-eyed match officials earlier in the season.
  2. And Warne's managed the side brilliantly /Srg's brain to explode in 5....4....3....
  3. Here we go again. Popped just a few minutes ago... Currently, people evacuating the Blue Lagoon (again)
  4. I'm bumping my own post here - basically because, once again, it appears that I'm the only forum member with half a brain. Oh, wait......
  5. The sign of a good side is to win when not at their best. We won. We weren't at our best.
  6. We'll win at Pompey. You heard it here first. Actually, I'm pretty sure B4 said it first - and this is his year.
  7. Another wonderful, battling performance.
  8. So basically a pyramid scheme where in order to reap the equivalent benefits now as you did then, you need to work that much harder?
  9. Sounds a bit "Brave Sir Robin"ish.
  10. If I've not tidied up after my grandson, there's a danger that he might step on a piece of Lego, lass (Legolas) /right, that's enough LotR puns
  11. Pippin Took my last one.
  12. I must confess that I'm confused. You're not suggesting that I have a bit of an alcohol hobbit, are you?
  13. Just had an email from Beeronweb. They have just received confirmation from HMRC that any future orders shipped to the UK costing less than £135 will no longer attract alcohol duty - just VAT. A few people I know from various Belgian beer enthusiasts' sites have had orders impounded pending the payment of alcohol duty, so I might consider ordering from abroad again.
  14. I'd like to see some real pace and bounce in the wicket this season.
  15. Yep. Missing an offside by 10 yards takes a special kind of white stick and guide dog. Not that I minded, of course.
  16. Atwell is Atwell. He is probably a mistake himself.
  17. I wasn't referring to the World Cup incident - rather, it occurred in the home game v Real Madrid. Same guy, same requirement for spectacles.
  18. The worst decision I have ever seen in my life was perpetrated by linesman Tofiq Bakhramov - but Robert Madley's crazy 5 seconds at Burnley ran it close.
  19. Really enjoyed the game. I love a battle just as much as I love players showing silky skills. Whereas the first half saw plenty of slick passing and moves, the way the team rolled their sleeves up and got the job done in the second gives a great feeling of confidence. We earned that win tonight. To paraphrase the great man, "More of the same please gentlemen."
