Sibley, Ward, TJJ, Berks a complete waste of space.

Mgt absolutely atrocious. All aspects of shape wasted with the subs.

Honestly even if Collins is poor - what is NML up front and TJJ on a wing going to offer you that’s better?

We need two more players - a midfielder and a striker if we want any serious chance of top two.

At least ward tried to tackle alot more then the rest of them

No urgency, no bite in midfield, terrible terrible performance. 1 point out of these last 2 games isn’t good enough. Cash in on Bird and get some damn legs in that midfield and someone who can receive the balL on the half turn.

    Or………………. Just absolute 💩

I havent said this for months and all i get is 💩

We weren’t at our best but not quite as diabolical and out played as you seem to be implying.

As I was suggesting earlier, it strikes me that the pain you’re feeling is perhaps a little excessive. Sleep on it and see if you feel quite so angry in the morning.

Fair enough i will do, i just feel we didnt get out off gear 2, i hope its a point + not a 2 points dropped

They created the better chances but if you think they were “great” and we got “battered” I suspect you don’t watch much football.

Strikes me that you’re having a bad day or something buddy. My advice would be to hold off posting anything else until tomorrow when the dust has settled. Advice I wish I’d taken a few times in the past.

They had 1 on 1s what better chance did we have?  ( i am a little smashed so fair point)

Ah, I wasn’t clear enough, no I disagree with your assessment of the match and your comment that the players didn’t turn up.

Who turned up? No midfield again cash stuggled with the striker should of had help, and doubled up? Yet they were great, got battered and didnt change our formation

Depends on how you define clear cut chances. We did create a few but we didn’t do enough with them to really trouble their keeper. As for “could have lost 3:0 or 4:0 easily” well we didn’t and that’s all that matters. The one Cashin cleared off the line - well that’s what good defenders are meant to do when faced with that situation.

The only chance they really fluffed was when the chap with the funny hair cut was through on Vickers and put it over.

”could have lost 3:0 or 4:0 easily” makes it sound like we were played off the park. We weren’t and a draw was probably a fair result.

Thats a reply to someone  so look back

    0 clearcut chances?

Nelson header where he should have scored.

Bird should have hit the target from Barks Cross.

NML when he burst through and just couldn't quite finish.

How were they any less than theirs from Taylor?

Taylor had 5, nelson our best chance unlucky, bird never hits the target waste of time! Nnl went with the wrong foot because he has only a right foot

Was it really as bad as you’re making out?
If the players did not turn up as you suggested then we’d have lost, we drew away from home, it’s not the end of the world.
We had more possession (66% versus their 34%), passed more and with greater accuracy (520 at 78% versus their 278 at 64%), more shots (19 shots versus their 10)….and maybe this is where they get some credit as they had 4 on target when we only had 3, they had and missed 2 big chances when we allegedly had none (I’d argue Nelson’s header at their keeper was a big chance)….but then we also had 7 blocked shots.

From watching the game and reviewing those stats I’m very much of the opinion we did turn up, but a combination of not reaching our better levels, them defending resolutely, and a little bit of luck in how was wasteful they were means accepting an underwhelming 0-0 draw and we move on.

    Clear cut chances? You agree

But we didn't though? That's like saying if we didn't concede last gasp goals against Portsmouth, Wycombe and Peterborough we'd be 3 points clear of second with a game in hand. It's pointless criticising the team with hypothetical situations that didn't happen.

We created 0 clear cut chances, they had 5 or 6. People talk about corners we had 3 in the first 3 minutes and 2 came from poor delieveries. Also its ifs and buts, the buts did happen and we are not 3 points clear any team could say if and buts

Didn't lose in a game that will not live long in the memory. A lot of season left and there will be highs and lows. We're on a run 10W 2D 1L.

Anyone moaning at that needs to give their head a wobble.

Watching that sh*t you need your head wobbling could of lost 3-0/4-0 easily. Achually watch the proformances

It does though. We’ve had the bulk of possession, mostly in their half. Lots of nearly play i.e. things that didn’t quite work. A few good shots / openings.

But we’ve left ourselves open to breakaway runs and could easily have conceded.

Yes possession nothing else very poor

Pretty sure I commented during the match saying Bird was quietly having an effective game.
There were a couple of occasions first half were a misplaced pass or sloppy touch gifted Burton a chance to counter and Bird showed the awareness and athleticism to get back and snuff out the danger. There were also some points he picked the ball up in midfield and drove at their defence, he hesitated with one when Barkhuizen was free in the right side channel and by the time he made his mind up the defence had found their shape BUT the second time he did it he played the pass to Barkhuizen on the left of their area and Bark’s touch let him down.
I’d like Bird to take games by the scruff of the neck as he’s capable of doing, but the way we play doesn’t lend itself to that, so he does his role a solid 7 most weeks in my opinion, doing the simple work that allows others to go and get the glory.

I agree but disagree with the last bit, i dont think he is a 7 most weeks. I think if derby signed him and didnt come through the adacamy people wouldnt give him such high ratings. I think he needs to man up and be stronger if he grow a pair and put in tackles, didnt shy out and didnt go missing in so many games there would be alot of teams in for him. He is only a championship player at best he will never make it in the prem

We eventually brought subs on and they tired themselves

No it wasnt it was being negative he does it every week! If that is the case are you saying warne got it wrong and should of swapped it round early and for the next game he should rest players? I domt see any comments about how good bird was again! Like i said hes inconsistent
