It was probably arranged weeks ago before everything went belly up, Tom's not going to cancel because of that, they do have a private life.

I think, just my opinion only, that if the administrators can't provide proof of funding to see us through the season or at the very least can confirm that the negotiations will ensure funding will be in place at the start of the season then the EFL will take the step very soon none of us want to see. They are not going to produce a fixture list then have to start all over again.

The well heeled businessmen might be very wary of funding the club, at this time there doesn't seem to be a credible bid on the table. Come March if we are still in the same situation then our time in administration comes to an end and they have lost all their money

Forgive me, I've just speed-read it. The things that stood out for me was " We're getting our fees come what may " and " it's been ever so complicated, we deserve them "
They're not up for negotiating them it seems, but if the alternative is liquidation, surely, in the absence of a buyer there's not enough left in the DCFC carcass to even come close to meeting their fees?

See, the MLS Player Association website showed that he earned $3.5m pa (about £2.75m at the time, or £55,000 pw) as a Designated player, and it was widely reported that Derby were matching that salary, but only because a significant proportion was being funded by an increase in sponsorship money by 32Red. The £90k pw figure doesn't tally with that by a long way and it's also been assumed that his new contract as a manager simply maintained his player's salary, which is unheard of. That's why I question it.
Of course, when Mel Morris agreed to pay players like Johnson, Lawrence and Keogh circa £30k pw, it's not hard to believe he might have agreed to pay Rooney £4.5m pa, but it would set a new record for his own personal financial recklessness as owner.

People are really getting upset that Lawrence is playing golf with Kirchner? As far as we understand, Kirchner was the person who paid the wages last month - in that case why would any of the players have animosity towards him?
Honestly, how far down the rabbit hole do you have to be in order to give a toss who Lawrence, a player who 100% won't be here next season, is playing golf with?
He could be playing the Islamic State open for me and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

I think its the "we will report...on receipt...." in future tense that has many worried as I read that as havent received and so havent reported. I suppose it could just be Q incompetence and the statement was drafted few days ago and its gone through people for approval and no-one updated!!

So what I'm taking from this is that all our conspiracy making has been going entirely the wrong direction.
The diabolical new world order is not a combination of evil governments and shady military industrial complex along with banks and the masons, it's actually golfists.

I see some people on Twitter slagging off Tom Lawrence for this. Honestly don't get some of our fans, it's not always that deep.

Quote from Quantuma's letter:
"Now that Mr Kirchner’s bid has been withdrawn, we will again report to the EFL upon receipt of a bid that satisfies 1) or 2).
We are bound by confidentiality agreements and so we cannot release the identities of the parties who have come forward, nor can we release any detail in relation to their interest or bids."
Everyone is reading that as meaning that no such satisfactory bid has yet been received, thereby contradicting the earlier reports of Appleby's bid.
However, I would say the key part is the last sentence above i.e.:
"nor can we release any detail in relation to their interest or bids."
So I'd suggest that they couldn't say even if they had received an acceptable bid from Appleby or anyone else.
