Silly me, of course you were.
Every time you pick up on someone else's grammar, punctuation or spelling, which is quite frequently, I always think to myself there goes a modernist.

Whether a deal is "compliant"  ie leaves enough to pay football creditors and satisfy the other creditors isn't something that a buyer can decide for themselves.. it's ultimately for Q and EFL to decide between them. Somebody on behalf of a bidder may have told Ed Dawes their bid is "compliant" but it doesn't mean that it is.

Apart from a full stop on your second sentence, it seems.

You carry on keep saying they will give in the end, it's not happened up to now so can't see why it will happen any time soon. Football administration is different to other business administrations, they are a stand alone, we are part of an association whose rules we have to abide by, they can expel us from the league and it is no use saying the law of the land won't allow them.

As i have said, it is not in the administrators remit to divulge what the minimum they would accept is. They can only accept a bid if the criteria is met.
Quantuma won't go back and ask for a bit more, they will just say the bid is not high enough. If the club can't be saved then it can't be saved if the bidders don't offer enough.

I'd love to believe that Nixon knows what he's talking about here, but I'd rather have it confirmed by a takeover specialist, because I've not come across any examples where a purchaser has been able to do this before completion and without a court challenge after completion.

It’s a good job that there’s lots of confidentiality and NDAs in place otherwise details of the deals would be all over social media.?????

But you've let yourself down unfortunately by not being able to spell lobster thermidor.

Do what now?  As it stands, the EFL will enforce their insolvency policy (and we pay football creditors), or we'll be liquidated (and the EFL pool account will pay them). So either way the clubs get their money. It's only if the EFL start changing rules that clubs might get interested. Likewise, Bolton, Wigan and any other clubs in admin recently might have complaints to make.
If we're talking about Mike Ashley £28m type bids, then no creditor outside of MSD, Quantuma and some of the football creditors are getting anything anyway, so the length of time is moot.

That's just nonsense though, isn't it? As far as we know, any bids agreed towards the end of last year were contingent on Quantuma being able to cram-down the 'Boro and Wycombe claims to nothing.  As soon as the EFL vetoed that, the bids were basically irrelevant, as no one was willing to risk buying us with those claims still in play.

What people don't get, or forget, is that when a club signs up to become a member of the EFL you sign up and agree to their rules and regulations, if you don't, as per exiting administration  (25%/35% over 2/3 years) they can expel you anyway.

Yes and the article also addressed the league 2 liquidation point saying its unlikely
Personally I think there is no chance. We would need 65/72 clubs to vote in favour. Not going to happen, we may think we’re massive but the other clubs don’t care about us.

There was an article in one of the nationals recently where other EFL clubs were complaining at the amount of time being given to Derby to resolve the takeover and the consensus was clubs would not vote to keep us in the league. Can’t remember who wrote it, could be Nixon, Percy or the Mail.
The fact that out of the 72 clubs I think we would only need 7 to vote against would suggest us starting again in league two is extremely unlikely/not going to happen.

Clubs are completely self interested and would happily throw other clubs to the wolves. There is no football family.

Those expecting a buyer to be named this week or next need to read Q’s statement again.
There is an immediate requirement to secure the short-term future of the club, to allow players to be signed, issue season tickets for sale and to secure commercial agreements, as well as our best intentions to bring the uncertainty for staff and supporters to an end.
Once the short-term future of the club is secured, then we will deal with preferred bidder arrangements.
Q are not just selling the club, they are running the day-to-day affairs of the club, and it seems to me after the CK debacle (specifically the time wasted) that their immediate and full focus is to manage our continuing survival, and keep matters ticking along commercially, to ensure that there is something tangible to buy in a few weeks time. They clearly expected CK to be doing this now, but it has once again become their priority to maintain the club as an operating entity (even on a much diminished scale).

What we need to appreciate is that there are 2 sets of "Rich Folk" supposedly interested in the club.
Set 1. The MA type, who are looking for a business opportunity and will only pay what they feel it's worth to them as an opportunity.
Set 2. The AA type, who have an affection for the club and don't want to see its demise. They either cant raise the cash, or have a strict limit. After all, they didn't really want to buy the club or they would have been at the table with a serious offer long ago. They just now want to try and save it.
This is how I see the current situation.

Maybe , but my first question was who told Ed Dawes this? Whoever it is there seems to be some pressure from someone to blame Q for things not progressing , so I suspect EFL or Appleby, as well as Ashley earlier. We have heard all this noise about "competitive bids" and teh like , but Q are in a better position to decide what is competitive, not the bidders themselves. They would say that wouldn't they?

HMRC are a creditor who battled to get their status enhanced for exactly this type of situation.
I dont believe they will expect 100% recovery, but do believe they are not going to let Football Clubs have their pants down anymore.
