It was said last week when we signed CBT, that the reason he was signed on loan is because there was not enough left in the permanent signings pot unless we sold someone. 

He’s the reason we can’t bring in premier league loans in. No other managers trust him with their decent players. 
the on my loans we’ve had are crocks or rejects going nowhere in their careers.

I’m on the same page as you. I’d have liked us to sign a striker for sure, but don’t think it’s as terrible as some are making out (whilst respecting their right to that opinion).
We’ve added a couple of players, have some to come back from injury. All I can do now is wait and see how the season unfolds. 

I think it was pretty obvious from the way the CBT deal was concluded and structured, things are not straightforward and transfer activity would be scarce.
Hopefully the summer will bring more productive times.

He should resign on principle

Last year restrictions were worse than they are now. This year we still have restrictions. 
We've signed over 10 players since the summer all of which have mentioned how the manager has convinced them to join. Yet you're saying Warne has no ability to attract players? We've just signed one of the best wingers in the league this season as we were crying out for one. Everyone saying how we need some tough midfielder to stop us getting bullied, criticizing Warne for not signing one. We've signed one.
Are you forgetting all that? Absolutely pathetic comment to say Warne can't attract players.
I'm frustrated we haven't managed to sign a striker and I hope Washington and Waghorn come back firing and ready to go. 
Who knows we might get a free in? Dwight Gayle possibly?
We have got no money at all. We've absolutely tried everything to get one in. We're fishing in a small pond so the options are not great.
To sit there and have a go at Warne for this is a joke.

People saying not to blame Warne need to give their head a wobble. Two Sheffield Wednesday outcasts as targets…one injury prone (there’s a shock). Extending TJJ’s contract when he is made of a glass, so many players show their ‘quality’ in training but I didn’t see any potential in him. CBT is a very good signing and I hope Adam’s is. Warne’s style of play will put players off from joining so it doesn’t surprise me we didn’t get anyone in. There’s still no structure with this club either and there won’t be until Pearce has gone. We need answers and I don’t think we will get the serious stuff from Warne in his presser tomorrow. Clowes needs to answer some of the questions.

Feel for Paul Warne tonight. He has been totally let down by the club here. Not a chance he would have wanted to end the window like this. Awful stuff. 

Not to be different, just because I respect that a local businessman has rescued us from the mire and, despite losing millions in the first 9 months, on top of his £50m + original outlay, already has some fans screaming for more.
Yes, the same fans that in hindsight lambasted MM for his reckless spending.
Yes, the same fans that have spent most of the season saying how great our squad is and are being held back by our poor manager.
So, yes, if going against is standing up against these spoilt brats who want everything I'm happy to do that. 
If we can't afford someone within our business plan, then we don't buy, its a simple as that. 

Am I the only one not worried about not getting a striker? We're the second highest scorers in the League and we have Washington and Waghorn coming back soon. I think we will be fine, keep the faith. 🐏

this “pull” narrative is such bs. Nearly every player who signs for us says how current players have told them to sign because of how good it is. If players didn’t like Warne I don’t think they’d be telling mates to come to the club.
Same thing happened in the summer ppl saying mcgoldrick left because of Warne but him and Warne still talk regularly. 

Its a lazy made up argument fans go along with because they don’t like Warne for his style of football etc.

The only predictable thing was the hysterics from the usual suspects

Perhaps ownership not such heroes as we first thought? (yes I don't need telling that they saved us but they can't dine out on that forever). 

Disappointing but some of the reactions are, as usual, a little OTT.
Even with all our massive constraints and limitations, and DC’s desire to run the club sustainably (something some fans don’t really want to see because it means we have to live within  our means and not fritter money away) it’s still a little surprising there’s not a soul out there who could come in and do a job. But hey ho. Maybe we just don’t have the cash or pulling power. I’m not going to start slagging the club off over it. We got to spitting of autos with what what we have. Going to be tricky to do the next step without that extra striker, but who knows. Not the end of the world. 

The players have to be interested in coming as well. Come on there was easily time today to get a better striking option than Lee Gregory if we had a manager with a pull factor would have jumped at the chance to play for us. When rosenior was here players turned down championship clubs to come here 

Something seriously isn’t right at the moment. I don’t even believe this is on Warne but the people above him. We as fans just seem to be fed constant lies at the moment. Feeling very disconnected at the moment. I’m sure I’ll find out what happened tomorrow and tell you all but right now I’m a bit deflated to be honest. Hope you all have a happy Friday 🙂

People saying we're stronger now at the end of the window, but before it opened we said we needed a striker, we've since lost our only two backups in TJJ and Brown, and only have one fit centre forward at the club.
People joked as we went along that we'd reach this point and say "we tried but couldn't get it over the line", but I didn't think anyone was serious. For that to be the eventual outcome smacks of a remarkable level of incompetence. Is the recruitment guy still in his probationary period? Surely not worth keeping on. And such a shame Warne has no ability of his own, or contacts in the game, to attract players. 

At least Warne hasn’t wasted the club’s money on a crock. And wendies didn’t hold us to ransom
 

Depends how much you think he's wasted on signings who don't improve us or whether you you believe he's been too picky in terms of which players we could sign based on factors beyond their footballing ability (or whether he's a rubbish judge if character and/or ability), I guess.
Personally I don't think this is really on him, but bloody hell Paul shut your f****** trap until your sure you can deliver on the the things you talk about.
 

So Dom said we’re done for the window. Unless we sign Dwight Gayle on a free over next few days we’ve a tough few weeks to slog through. 
 
Hope fans realize Warne will just be as annoyed as us. Poor from the club to not get a deal done with any striker.
