And how can an agreement be confidential if we have to tell the EFL what's in it?
They just seem to want to have their own way in everything.

@DarkFruitsRam7 chose to pop his moderators cherry on Will, wouldn't usually reveal such information, but I know he loves the attention so everyone feel free to congratulate him.

Love the childish idea from Boro that Gibson is a flawless character standing up to Derby for Boro and the good of football generally.

He’s hijacked the EFl board to pursue his own agenda and he’s used a bogus legal claim to delay our exit from administration and to extort funds from Morris.  Sure Boro fans like the sound of that, but few of them understand the detail. Few neutrals have the patience to get to the bottom of it. Why not ponder Gary Neville’s comments though, there are no flies on him

I can't disagree with this statement as I can't prove otherwise, by the same token I'm not sure this is something you can prove either.
Having visited the Sheffield Wednesday forum there isn't a lot of love on there for Steve Gibson, I would image Liverpool fans would also not agree having been on the end of his legal action along with other clubs. There is also a small matter of the Man United fanbase that have been questioning the claims in their support for Wayne Rooney.
You can only base your views on what you see and hear, and right now Forest, Leeds and bizarrely Bristol City fans have been very vocal in their support of Steve Gibson, although this will be down to rivalry....except for Bristol City which is once again just bizarre.
I don't know the guy, won't claim to know his life story and the shenanigans he may have been in, but what he has done against this club is unforgivable.
Make no mistake, he is not responsible for the position we are in, he has been responsible for prolonging the situation with his frivolous claims which let's be honest, the club were never the intended target in all this, it was Mel Morris.
Let's also not forget, nowhere would you find Boro fans complaining at the time in 18/19, Tony Pulis was the target of your frustrations and rightly so, only now that Gibson's claims became public are Boro fans out in force to support their owner, which is commendable.
We have seen the benefits of a siege mentality ourselves recently, even clubs such as Leeds which we dislike with a passion, you have to applaud the way they defend their club and anyone connected.
End of the day, it's quite possible the club could have been sold long before we entered administration had we not had these claims over us, they have been the main stumbling block. That's 12 points back on the board, no Embargos and we could potentially be challenging the top 6 with you this season.
I know Boro fans will argue justice has been served, especially if we go down, but relegation is not a punishment the EFL can just hand out.
If you want to hear tales of how great Steve is, what a gentleman and upstanding person in the community, you will not find that on here, so don't be shocked to read plenty of vitriol aimed towards Gibson and in our eyes it's fully deserved. Every single bit of it.

Since Rick Parry “chairman of the EFL” can be drawn into an argument with a fan at one club via email (no offence intended @David) it really does show the level of professionalism at the EFL and how it is run. Absolute circus.

I thought we were fined for not making it obviuous that we were using a non-straightline method - not for using a non-compliant method (which yesterday's announcement clarifies - there was no rule so we couldn't have been non-compliant - now there is....)

    Amortisation methods aside.
This P&S change, the can of worms this has now opened is ridiculous. Would love to have been a fly on the wall in that meeting.
Let's say Boro were to breach this season by £2.5m prior to this rule change, next season they avoid points deduction due to the rule change and beat Forest to the play offs.
Forest could argue that not only in January 22 they could have gone out and spent a further £2.5 on Bowler from Blackpool who would have strengthened their promotion bid this season, but next season as well who should not have finished behind Boro who should have had points deducted.
Even Reading, if they were to go down, they could argue had they known they could have spent a further £2.5m on Andy Carroll's wages to keep him at the club, that would have allowed them to stay up.
Above are purely hypothetical situations used to show what could happen when changing the rules mid way through the season.
What is the protocol for these votes to take place, is this something Rick Parry the chairman would propose a vote to take place, or can individual clubs propose rule changes at any time?
Find it astonishing that the financial rules can be changed with immediate effect, and not made in the summer prior to the transfer window open, when there were question marks over possible restrictions.

How many games do you actually watch live to assess what Tom Lawrence is doing when he hasn't got the ball?
I watch about 95% of them and your analysis of his play couldn't be further from the truth.

Every club in the country has used the straight line club apart from one who used the other method that was not outlawed in the rules, that's better P rick Parry.

I find it quite unbelievable that there is one poster who continues to side with the EFL over everything that relates to Derby County, and against Derby County over everything - even when it's not an EFL v DCFC issue (e.g. Lawrence).
Suggest he changes his handle to Rickparrying or Gumpwebbedfingering.

Lawrence does give 100%. He’s very hard working, and in fact always has been. His running stats have always been high. He tracks back and works hard for the team. His attitude seems off because of his body language, but for an attacking player his work rate can’t be questioned. Rooney would be delighted to keep him, as would I.

The best screw you to the EFL is that we stay up. But I don't think we should simply let the EFL slink off just because we survive. We could be stuck with those clowns for a while longer. The amount of mental anguish their ineptitude has caused to many fans is simply unforgivable. They have had us over a barrel for getting on 3 seasons, our survival needs to be their demise.

Your a better person than me!
I cant forgive Parry and Gibson for their concerted effort to destroy my football club and todays news underlining Parry's vindictiveness makes it worse.
Whatever happens, those two will never be forgiven and never welcome in Derby for me.

True, but, they signed off believing there would be no rule changes.  EFL have moved the goal posts.
My original point is we should not of had to restate the accounts, becuase it appears our amortisation policy, was within the rules or why vote in a change to using the straightline amortisation policy....
    Rotten to the core!!!!
