SaffyRam reacted to Ramos in Margaret Beckett on Radio Derby
Really worth a listen to both MPs. MB very passionate and sounds like she will stop at nothing now to take this on. She felt personally insulted by the EFL due to conversations they’d previously had behind the scenes.

That is absolutely disgraceful !! ?
I was reasonably calm today until I read that.

She’s definitely got a handle on the issues & of course what we didn’t know, is her previous conversation with the EFL asking how she could help. They told her the best thing would be for MPs not to make public statements, so now we’re in this situation & she’s not been contacted by them
very good that she’s on board . We shouldn’t worry that these MPs don’t have a handle on the issues

So she expected to hear from them if there were problems & that they haven’t acted in good faith with her
that they’re on Middlesbrough’s side
so she’s written to the minister
she feels there’s levers for government- shouldn’t be standing idly by while we’re put out of existence

SaffyRam reacted to Nishfan in Margaret Beckett on Radio Derby
Says that pressure needs to be applied on the EFL
she is dismayed by the EFL & has been for some time
feels the EFL has it in for us

Curtis spoke really well as he always does, he made reference to the EFL saying they’ll do whatever they can to help and called it “laughable”….what a legend he is

I saw it too? Either they had or expect to release they had it. I was half way through a dirty nappy

There was a very brief segment on ITV news this morning saying the admins will release a statement today and funding had been sorted for the season. Can’t find it anywhere, don’t know if anyone else heard it or if it’s been mentioned on here ?♂️

As @Ghost of Clough said, it would be good to see a time line of this whole saga with appropriate quotes from the the EFL during the whole process.
Remember this started with Mel trying to level the playing field by skirting around FFP issues by smart business practice. (not defending him) There were no rules in place against what we did with amortisation. They were signed off as OK for three years. After Mcguires intervention we got hauled before the EFL and found guilty of a communication breech only. We got a £100k fine. They were "disappointed" and appealed. Etc etc etc.
I have a strong sense of fair play but what has happened, including the embargoes and everything else needs laying out fully so those trying to help us understand just how corrupt the EFL are.

If Gibson thought he would have a chance winning in “a court of Law” he would have started proceedings. He hasn’t. He just leaves the threat there to delay the admins.

And a court of law wouldn't find in their favour either. Legally and morally, we don't owe them anything.

No. Gibson is wrong.
He tried this argument to insert Boro into the stadium valuation case and the LAP finding was that there definitely wasn’t a direct causal link between our finances and their failure. He’s putting forward the same case. Just because the money he’s moaning about us having is from our amortisation rather than stadium sale, he’s still claiming our extra finance = the reason Boro missed out, which has been disallowed.
So - no culpability. And that’s before we consider the fantasy calculations he’s used to determine their loss.

SaffyRam reacted to Andicis in The Administration Thread
We don't owe them a penny. And I can't see where he's coming from. He had years of parachute payments which we had no chance to compete with and threw the money away. That's on him.

This.
The fact that a governing body was "disappointed" at the outcome of an independent disciplinary body that they recognise should be the grounds for legal action to prove our case if the bar stewards finish us.

Did you not spend months banging on about our amortisation stoking the fire till it became an inferno.

And they way they gave us two different sets of fixtures to allow that dipshit at Wycombe an open door to make his ******** claim.
-
SaffyRam reacted to RandomAccessMemory in The Administration Thread
Never forget their statement after we got the £100k fine.
When they were "disappointed" at the outcome and "regrettably" could find no grounds to appeal it.
That would be after going through their own disciplinary processes, the processes that are written in the rules, the processes we are all supposed to have faith in coming to the correct conclusion, they still weren’t happy at the outcome and wished they could find a way to punish us further as they didn’t think it was enough.
Well, well done EFL, you found a way.
What an absolute disgrace.

SaffyRam reacted to Mckram in The Administration Thread
Still in disbelief where we are. So many what ifs along the way.
What if the EFL told Mel 5/6 years ago that he couldn’t account for player sales in that manner?
All of this would have been avoided. We wouldn’t have spent anywhere near the money we did. Boro wouldn’t have any claim against us for last season.
It all started with failings by the EFL to do their job properly and 5/6 years on they continue to do so.

I don't know why you would want that, maybe you don't, but that's what the result of your actions could well bring about.
Rick Parry has the power to allow this takeover to go ahead at the stroke of a pen but he daren't because of Steve Gibson.

SaffyRam reacted to Curtains in The Administration Thread
Well it’s an arbitrary date they have come up with to destroy Derby County .
Its significant that it’s at end of January window and allows another transfer embargo.
They should tell Boro if they don’t withdraw their claim against Derby which threatens to destabilize the League with precedent set for all clubs to do the same they will give them a point deduction.
You can’t have open house on clubs vs club’s claiming against each other as it’s not sustainable

“11. Does the EFL have a vendetta against Derby County?”
Holy poo!
I can’t believe they addressed this in a statement, completely unprompted!
So unprofessional and another example of EFL gaslighting!

SaffyRam reacted to Zag zig in EFL statement
Said it earlier Roy, forget political colour, you don’t want her to be your adversary in a debate, she’s not the sort of person that suffers fools or will back down. Actually think, she’s just the sort of probing politician we want on the case, she won’t be fobbed off easy and if she can see b.s from the EFL, I’d expect her to really get stuck into them.
