  1. I think you spoke too soon. 30p Lee has been wall-to-wall on the radio. Air-to-air then I guess.
  2. She apologised for editing it (as everybody does) and instead issued an undoctored one.
  3. Saw Tom Allen at Hall for Cornwall tonight. Really enjoyed it. I had no expectations beforehand having not seen him do stand up but thoroughly enjoyed it as did Mrs Badger. His delivery feels like a cross between Eddie Izzard and John Mulaney. Fast paced and dramatic. Brilliant crowd work in the first half with lots of call backs and the expected references/double entendres to his sexuality. Will definitely get tickets if he comes back.
  4. Ditto. If you had no clue who's made it you'd know who made it inside 10 minutes. Good fun, 2 episodes in.
  5. You but who's done it since then? Literally nobody. Not a single manager in over an hour now.
  6. Good article, thanks for sharing.
  7. I had a talk with my visiting sister tonight about this and said I've bought as much as I can afford to lose. I realise it's not an investment. My personal belief is the money I've spent will either 10x or more, or evaporate. If it's the latter, then it was worth a roll of the dice and I've had quite a bit of fun. I'd double my money if I sold now, but I'm not remotely tempted. HODL.
  8. He's super charismatic and complicated. Reminds me a bit of Ginny in Gomorrah. It was sad to see that Werewolf rip his throat out in the last episode.
  9. Yes I have and I know the scene. I thought both series of White Lotus were great.
  10. Finished One Day last night. It was fairly good but a tad too long for me, I got a bit bored at the end. It was well acted and had some funny bits, but I suppose it's just not really my genre Mrs Badger absolutely loved it though, a proper blubfest for her. 6.5/10 for me and 9 for her.
  11. I haven't read fiction for a couple of years, although I used to read a LOT. Now I read mainly marketing books, but I'm ¾ of the way through Food for Life by Rim Spector. Very, very good. I love how he differentiates between the different levels of research and how it's so easily cherry-picked and skewed. For example, he says they are very confident that avocados are great for you, but the reality is that there are very few controlled studies done to prove it. He frequently will say, but we need more research or, the research is sketchy and poorly undertaken. And he will always conduct meta studies when he can. He also exploded a few myths about fats and cholesterol and took a sword to the vitamin and supplement industry. There is no hard date to prove that fish is better for us than red meat if the read meat is high enough quality. I had no clue how much fish we eat is farmed and how different salmon is now from 30 years ago and not in a good way. He skewered pig farming as most of our bacon comes from Denmark, where the conditions are appalling. 30% of piglets die soon after birth, frequently because they are suffocated by their mother sitting on them because there's no room. I knew chicken nuggets weren't actually good for you, but not that that the meat is pressured hosed off carcasses and then effectively glued back together. I highly recommend this book, it's a real game changer and Mrs Badger has already signed up for the Zoe Project. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Food-Life-Science-Eating-bestseller/dp/1529919665
  12. Last night we were catching up on the brilliant Curb Your Enthusiasm. In the scene where he and Larry were arguing about who would live longer, I said to Mrs Badger, Richard Lewis ain't gonna win that one; he already looks ill. Then today I read he's passed away. Bummer.
  13. I like it when somebody moves it right back because then I can slip my shoes and socks off and wedge them either side of their head.
  14. I'm on Xr every day and it's really seriously deteriorated. Of the main platforms, it's easily the worst IMHO, and I now only use it to follow a handful of people, mostly comedians and people who talk about Derby. Any halfway decent post there gets spammed to death with clickbait videos that have nothing to do with the OP, just people desperate for clicks. I used to love Twitter, but now it's the playground for anybody with an extreme opinion who wants to spew their bile.
  15. She doesn't but she knows and it drives her nuts! But she'd never dare question what she does with the kids.
  16. I want to say to my sister-in-law, who had her two kids of 14 and 9 tested for food intolerances by a total quack, and now announces proudly in restaurants that they have allergies to gluten and dairy, respectively: Stop sending kitchens into a panic for no reason. Especially when you give them both items when you can't be arsed not to, and NOTHING bad happens. And guess what? Nothing happens when they stay with us we cram as much gluten and dairy down them as we can lay our hands on. Go and buy Food for Life by Tim Spector, and stop setting your kids up for food issues later in life when they actually develop intolerances because of how you restricted their diets. But I daren't. She's 'arder than me. A lot.
