  1. I thought I'd start a new thread as it was starting to get discussed in the watchable telly thread. I haven't watched the ITV drama yet but I will. I was aware of the story, but not especially as it happened when we were living in the US and I had no clue it ran into hundreds of people with each one being told nobody else had other issues. This is looking like the biggest scandal/cover-up of our time with a lot of people complicit. I hope the duckers who ok'ed this at the highest level get sent down.
  2. Loved seasons 1,2 and 3, but never saw 4 as it came out just as we were moving back. Is 5 as good? Nobody will ever beat Billy Bob for sheer evilness.
  3. Started watching the first season of Traitor last night. I can definitely see why it may become compulsive, especially for Mrs Badger. I'm a bit surprised at how thick they all are or how little they seem to know about human psychology - wouldn't you try to learn if you were coming on a show like this? The last thing a traitor would do is be quiet. They would be leading the conversations, which appears to be exactly what the three traitors are doing. Having said that, I suppose editing may deliberately mislead the viewer.
  4. Does every fire stick come with stuff on that isn't available elsewhere, or do you have a special one? IOW, wtf is going on??
  5. Oh wow, The Intouchables gets 8.5 on IMDb. Is it on Netflix?
  6. I'd agree with that on both.
  7. Men Up on iPlayer. Viagra clinical trials start in Wales in the 80s with a bunch of guys all getting the opportunity to deal with their diabetes caused impotence by taking part. It was an easy enough watch, but ultimately, I was a bit bored, and the jokes (It's not a comedy per se, but very lighthearted) were all a bit predictable. Mrs Badge enjoyed it a lot more than I did. Steve Cross/10
  8. Started watching Lupin last night with very high expectations. For some reason, I thought it was going to be like the brilliant Spiral. Hated the first episode, felt really hammy with a preposterous plot and lame humour. It was more the style/feel of it that I didn't care for (a bit like Reacher for me which I thought was awful), but if you guys say it's fantastic and I need to stick with it, I may.
  9. I love Prime, and we buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon being in the sticks with deliveries almost every day, so I'm happy with that. I suppose with me/us, we'll just not bother watching it as much or even at all. On your recommendation a LOVED Bosch but though legacy was pants. I watched it so I suppose I must have ut up with the ads, honestly cannot remember.
  10. Unless you're prepared to watch ads from 5th Feb. TBH, it is the last place I look for something and has had very little can't miss stuff for me (I'm one of the few who thought Reacher was utter pony), so I guess I'll just not bother. Will anybody pay the £2.99?
  11. Finally got around to watching the Boiling Point series after enjoying the movie a year or so ago. I thought it was really good and the kitchen scenes were incredibly real and well filmed. In fact, we were both really enjoying it. And then it ended. Either they have a second season already commissioned, they ran out of money or the writers are playing some elaborate joke, but I don't remember any series ending with so many loose ends. Weird.
  12. Sounds like witchcraft to me.
  13. Another one watching the second season! Are you tapping into Irish TV too?
  14. I LOVE Stephen Fry, but he's bloody awful on Jeopardy. It's not the right vehicle for him at all.
  15. I bet the guy who found that stat is single.
  16. Blue Lights was very good, but Kin is better.
  17. Finished Kin last night. 10/10, fookin outstanding and so glad there's a 2nd season with a 3rd commissioned. Upo there with Top Boy and Gomorrah for me. @Anag Ram - how did you get to see season 2, VPN?
  18. I only found out, courtesy of a Radio 5 programme yesterday that Nottingham was originally called Snotengaham. Around 600 AD, the Snotingas gave their name to the settlements of Nottingham, which were first recorded as 'Snotengaham' or literally 'the homestead of Snot's people. ' Over the years, the city's name was gradually modified until it became known as Nottingham around the 12th century. How fabulous! I think we should start a petition to have it returned to its much more appropriate and traditional name.
  19. I hear good stuff about Traitors from a LOT of people and I'm pretty sure it's on iPlayer, but I cannot summon up any enthusiasm to watch it. I'm not at all sure why.
  20. Have you given your butler that day off? Surely, he could drive you!
  21. What did you think? We're 6 episodes in, and I think it's effing brilliant. Other than finally finding The Sopranos, It may be the best thing I've watched all year.
  22. Is it better than season 2? I ONLY stuck with that because of how good Oldman was. I can't stand Jack Lowden. 4 episodes into Kin and really starting to like it. Loved the pub shooting scene, it was like it had come straight out of The Sopranos.
