From my memory of "7 habits of highly effective people" I learned - if you want to change something about your life, change something about your life.

And by that I mean make a small change. It might be a catalyst to bigger changes. Pick a small thing and focus on making it happen.

Ye man , its a lifestyle change. Unfortunately desk job plus not lifting moving enough means having to eat far less.

Taking measures to sort that out tho. i dont drink or smoke or anything and i do kickboxing. so im not unfit i just look terrible haha.

  2. All my life iv been fitness mad until the covid stuff happened and then i got really fat and unhappy.

Did powerlifting and bodybuilding as a hobby for many years. Yet find it difficult to try and work up the motivation to do any of that again ahah.

With a holiday booked for later this year im hoping to start my journey back to fitness , cant really afford gym anymore but iv got kettlebells , benches , powertower , barbells and dumbells at home so the only thing holding me back is myself and my rubbish diet. Got all the knowledge what to do just not the will power. Currently at 15st 8 (around 30% bodyfat)  as of this morning and the first target weight is 15st then the main target is 14st 4 (200lb).

Annoyingly a ran a leisurely 5k at the weekend and injured my foot so thats running out the window for a bit haha.

Anyway ...is anyone else into their fitness or wanting to better themselves .

Feel free to post anything regarding fitness , sports , bodybuilding , diets and so on

  3. Morning chaps , i didnt get chance to watch the game. Now everyone has had chance to sleep on it , what do you reckon? personally i would have bitten ya hand off for 1 point against league leaders but i am concerned with the chasing pack. Who performed well/bad and what do you think should of been done differently

I loved (don't tell @Archied 😉) the BBG, but if I'm honest I think that those that are too young to have savoured it would find it rather disappointing. Having 20000 (ok, slight exaggeration) crammed onto the Popside, everyone moving in unison (because if one person moved the whole bloody lot of us had to move), and I won't even mention the bogs (definitely the right name because they resembled a bog much more than a toilet). I think that as a one off experience they would love it, but having to go through that whole cow herd experience every week I don't think would appeal. God I miss the old place 😔. I miss the smell of the place, especially at night. Football for me has that smell, but of the few memories that I seem to have retained at my age I can still smell and taste the BBG. Football for me now is too sterile, especially with the "big" clubs demanding everything for themselves leaving not even scraps for the rest. Brian Clough would hate today's football, and nobody would have to shop him to the police because he'd be on the TV every day screaming it at the top of his voice.

i mean from the pictures it did look a bit of a dump by todays standards but obviously all the history and success was with that ground wasnt it

  5. i think most of our players will extend contracts. But i believe due to the age of most of our squad we'll be looking at getting in prime age players to do plenty of running (WARNEBALL) haha.

Then we need some big lump to go uptop to hit the ball at 🤣

Every journey begins with a single step grasshopper.😔

Unfortunately i dont go to away games as i cant relax and enjoy the game/dont want the time taken away from me meanwhile i can go derby and be back home in no time. im happy to just keep going to pride park. only reason i went to notts county ground was because didier drogba was playing 🤣

  7. Being a musician ive always thought derby is really lacking in comparison with notts. Obviously theyve got the rock city , the arena and so on. Derby has hairy dog and flowerpot... Would love some gigs at pride park or even that extremely expensive bike track that only hosts comedians every now n again haha

    Not personally no.

... But if I had, I'd be hell bent on ensuring I discussed it in the 2024 holiday thread.
