What the hell am I reading?
Are people actually forgetting the role the EFL have played in the legal proceedings against us that rumbled beyond the last transfer window and put everyone off making a bid for us.  Delays that saw us lose Jagileka and a goalscorer, plus half of our amazing academy.
And that's after the legal proceedings against us for the ground etc that led to the delays that led to the late points deduction that led to the legal proceedings that led to nobody putting in a acceptable bid until a month or so a go.
The fact we didn't go down the season before was 'regrettable'.
Blame Mel, absolutely, but to call the EFL the boogeyman or a smokescreen shows a complete lack of understanding.
    Christ.

    a) Why and how would CK BORROW £22m when a rumour is that he's already send it twice? Sent it twice?? I can't believe I'm even writing that! Of course he hasn't,
    b) As far as I can see here and elsewhere, nobody has actually come out and said CK paid the bills. People have hinted at it, but nobody's confirmed it, neither did he pay the £5m deposit, obviously and...
    c) If it is actually true, then he obviously had the ability to send £m's in cash a few weeks ago, passing the providence checks, but not, it seems, now. Bit weird, no?

If Nixon is trying to say that CK paid the £1m wages, then he's not as ITK as he makes out.

With respect, you conflate two separate issues.  One factual; one not.
If both parties fail to agree, you are correct it is factual they do not leave administration.  The price to be paid is in some way set: this is the thing to be needs to be discussed, and is not.
Let's call the final day before liquidation D-Day.  On D-Day +1 you get nothing.  Six months to D-Day, you might only accept 60p in the pound as someone might come along with an amazing bid.  Six weeks pre D-Day you might accept 35p.  D-Day morning you might accept 10p.  By that evening, you will accept pennies in the pound as you will get nothing if you don't - and that moment is moments away.
If a creditor is owed £1m, they might get £100,000 from Ashley.  They get nothing in liquidation.  On the last day they accept.  Before that point they procrastinate as they might get more.  It's like that weird indoor cycling: everything always comes down to the last lap, as everyone holds out until the end for better.
Without a knight in shining armour, the creditors get nothing or something.    But, as I say, there needs to be a point of no return to focus minds.  It is literally day one 101 of negotiation school.

Yep. Looks like both is true. Following liquidation, players become free agents, but the new club has to buy the player registration from the EFL. EFL can charge whatever is “reasonable”. EFL can then either keep the money, or hand some of it to football creditors under the football compensation scheme.

it’s all a moot point, but just adds clarity and confirmation that it’s in nobody’s interest to pursue liquidation. Well, with the big exception of the EFL who would pocket all the money from players registration sales. Interesting new perspective…

It also wouldn't  be a major surprise to see the EFL grasping an opportunity to make things difficult for us.
It is widely reported that Quantuma and the EFL don't get on, but the governing organisation have a responsibility to prioritise ensuring our survival over petty point scoring with Quantuma. This is how we got to this point in the first place

How is it modern day slavery compared to a club owning player registrations?
It's rule 66.1 of the EFL regulations 2021-22

What? Is that the "big reveal article" that Nixon had promised us for today?
Anyway, people saying CK staying in the UK to resolve the DCFC purchase.
Is it then merely coincidence that the LVIV golf tournament, that he'd been watching, finished only yesterday?

Really??  I can’t think of any way that could possibly happen, for many reasons.
Players become free agents - the last time I checked. Unless the EFL are engaged in modern day slavery…
Where did you get this information from?

    Ludicrous statement IMO.
You would rather the Club cease to exist, than a man with a proven business success history, including that of an English Football Club, take over?
