How would pace have helped us in game like Stevenage for example who didn’t leave space behind? We’ve had pace with NML and Barkhuizen on the wings before and that hasn’t worked

Everyone keeps saying we need a striker. Is this striker going to just create chances for themselves? I’m not sure what any striker is supposed to do if we continue to play this way. I agree with Phil Brown on Waghorn being an excellent striker at this level. He’s somehow managed 6 goals in 11 starts.
Our entire offensive play for the first 10 games of the season involved giving the ball to NML in RWB and hope he does something. In recent weeks we’ve resorted to simply long balling it and hoping our players can out fight the defender and it might fall to someone. What is a new striker meant to do?

not on that day, but the qpr game was genuinely unlucky, i mean they had one shot on goal the whole match. If he'd joined from the start of the season he probably would of got us automatic promotion
yes, but the whole spine of the team got ripped out through injuries
we'll never know as he was only there 5 months. As for only winning 1 game out of 9, have you just made that up? At least check your stats before using them in your argument.
Honestly - the stuff people come out with

Every League 1 fan I've spoken to is amazed we're not fighting at the top. Some are shocked we're not walking the league. A Barnsley fan I know said that our bench would mostly all start for them weekly, let alone our starters.
I don't know how we line up statistically, but the team really should be good enough. For me, Nyambe is potentially the best player in the league.

Where does stability come from though? Doesn’t stability overwhelmingly involve the owner and how money is spent? We could change manager and if it went badly we would remain in the very stable position of being a mid table L1 team. Why does keeping Warne determine stability?

So now I can't understand why Clowes didn't give the job to Rosenior. He's willing to let us be abysmal under Warne under the belief he'll give us stability, and eventually promote us. A man who I don't think gives a monkey's for this club - he said he didn't care for our history.
Rosenior who stuck with us through awful times, who had us playing some great football and some dull (not awful, just dull) stuff too. Why didn't Mr Clowes appreciate what he'd already committed to the Club and give him a chance?

how do you explain the countless times throughout football at various levels where a new manager comes in and plays a different style of football and suddenly the team is transformed?
A perfect example being tottenham this year. Really struggled last season playing defensive football with antonio conte. They bring in an attacking, possesion based manager and with almost the exact same squad they are absolutely flying top of the premier league. This is despite losing harry kane aswell.

The atmosphere is toxic because Paul Warne's football is s***. Not only is it s*** but the manager can't see it's s*** and thinks it's a way to take the Club forward. Why shouldn't the awful football and limited prospects dictate Clowes reaction?

Paul Warne gaining his wins in the 3rd division where as others around him played 1st or 2nd division teams. If he was managing the team in the league above I would understand it. But when you're not beat Stevenage and Cheltenham then it does throw these kind of stats into question.

if you'd have left the players to figure it out themselves with no manager i'd be surprised if they didnt win that game

We managed to beat arguably the worst team in the division at home. They are completely out of form and we have a vastly superior squad. Wow well done warne.

if they all leave the squad will just get continually worse, and we'll be stuck in league 1 for a long time.

You'd have to be a sandwich short of a picnic to invest in a 3rd tier football club, Even a club our size with a possible 30k + attendance every other week, Lets say DC wants to get rid of a 49% stake in the club...that's around £25m, DC still controls the club and the decisions made within, An investor wants a return, That return will only come about with promotion to the EPL.
DC keeps his man...PW...would you want to give him a budget in January, PW missed the boat last January when not finding a centre forward he admitted this was a mistake.
Unless there's a sugar daddy out there that's got so much loot in their back pocket hidden from the Tax Man...DC is on his own while PW is his man...imo

    Vickers
    Nyambe, Nelson, Bradley, Wilson
    Ward, White, Fornah, Springett
    Washington,  Waghorn

That is Warne’s team. His signings.
I think Nyambe and Nelson are excellent. Vickers we can’t really judge. Ward and Fornah, the jury is out. Waghorn is someone’s mate who makes the numbers up. But that is his team. Does anyone think that is better than an 11 that was already here? I don’t. I wouldn’t  want him spending any of my money.

so we'd have to have another rebuild then whilst trying to stay in the division. not a very viable plan in my opinion.
