If you work normal full-time working week and travel couple of hours to games any mon- fri evening matches are challenging not just trying to switch hours but extra traffic, higher train fares etc. Same for those on shift patterns sorted in advance of sky cut-off to rearrange matches when they cant change shifts later.
Still undecided re renewing next year entirely due to this deal nothing else. Its a lot of money if you just cant go to a lot of matchesCos I can only really do Saturday games I've decided not to renew, gutted to lose my seat after so many seasons but I can't justify spending all that money on what could turn out to be a dozen games, would work out at £40 a game!! I'll still go but pick up individual match tickets at £24-£29 and some aways.

Derby County v Blackpool
This camera was my Dad's (Also a big derby fan, he's on here somewhere) and had been sitting in the loft for years before getting a new lease of life. It's an Olympus OM1 if anyone cares, think it's from the 80s. Shot on Ilford XP2 film.

Brilliant, thanks for sharing. I started with a Zenit camera after leaving school and moved on to an Olympus. Did a bit at college and always meant to get more into it but unfortunately three kids came along in quick succession and the missus needed the bathroom for er...bathing, no room for me to do my developing anymore so packed it all in.

Just heard on the 'Not The Top 20' podcast....we have the best ratio of goals from set-pieces to successfully defending them across the whole EFL. Someone in the coaching staff clearly knows their onions.
Thinking about it, across my 4+ decades following the club we've never been much cop at set-pieces, Hindmarch, Wright spring to mind but overall like being mostly crap away from home it's something that's always seemed to have followed us around.

He's played his part the same as everyone else has so far. Of course he can't press or get back so much but he has the respect of the squad and was noticeably organising things at Bristol Rovers.
Still an important part of the squad.

That's a big increase for a lot of people, my issue is that I struggle with midweek games so if new TV deal comes in and means I can't get to half the games then it becomes a very expensive way of attending games, I don't have a problem with it going up in principle, I think everyone expected it to. Just seen the TV deal doesn't come in till the season after so still reasonable

End of the day hes moved to a club about 15 places above us in the pyramid, we go up and we'll be expecting to beat them at PP next season.

Yeah gets us up with no squad to speak of and a fanbase who want him out before the season kicks off. I agree thats what were going for but much better to build like Ipswich, Sunderland, Plymouth etc.

Yeah i see the BD comparison but it looked like we were building that under Warne until the other week, there seemed a genuine confidence building in the team (and god forbid the fans as well!!). Cocu just wanted to play a style of football that wasnt suited to the players we had or the league we were in, i dont think he ever fully understood what was needed in the Championship. Just seemed to spend his whole tenure scratching his head wondering where he was.
Warne for all his sins is getting a tune out of Nelson, who Cardiff fans said was just a nothing footballer,not a single person on the forum was arsed he was leaving. Same with NML whos having his best couple of seasons ever...and also more impressively Collins who's limited, done nowt for a few seasons but is playing out of his skin. This feels just like the Davies or Rowett seasons to me, just depends on luck end of the day

At least Rowett gave us, errrm I dunno (these are stretches!)... the spectacle of seeing the absolute best of Vydra, Huddlestone's homecoming and the signing of future Derby hero in Curtis Davies while trying to get promoted to the top league.
I'm glad though that we're getting somewhere to being on course toward "The Rotherham Way" under Warne.
Tbh this all feels more like Billy Davies era cobbling together wins with a trusted formula, i remember going to Preston on New Years day and scratting our way to such a terrible away win & suddenly thinking to myself my god this shower of s**** could actually go up!
Dont remember much hope for our future seeing that Cocuball going side to side across the defence and the ensuing Booing!

You could always try buying a Orient/Lincoln ticket for a tenner, that might free you up to buy a derby ticket. Its worked for me in the past with Norwich and a few others. Buying U21 games or whatever often gives you previous purchase history. Worth trying for a tenner I suppose but don't blame me if it doesn't work

QPR, Stoke and Cardiff all have broken transfer records higher than Derby.
They all have the same potential. Midtable PL with the odd flirt with Europe and domestic cup finals.
Derby are in the same boat with about 20 other clubs like Stoke, Cardiff, Swansea, Boro, Coventry, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Forest, Palace, Fulham, Wolves, Leicester, Ipswich, Norwich, Hull, QPR, Brentford, Southampton etc.
A long list of clubs with all the same potential just fluctuating between midtable PL and top 10 League One over the next 50 years.
Some may have extended spells in the PL, some may have extended spells in League One.
We think Derby are some kind of giant in the same way parents think their babies are the cutest in town.

At the moment Bolton, Pompey and even Oxford are looking like big clubs, need to get past them before we even get to the likes of Boro & Stoke.

I think he's a Sibley type player, maybe everything we'd hoped Sibley would turn out to be. In behind the strikers, driving through midfield, shots from range that kind of thing. It's good to read oppo fans having something good to say about a player for a change. Only problem he isn't fit and would imagine he'll go back to Sunderland in January if we do manage to get him fit and firing.

Could be a bit annoying this one. Carlisle havent quite sold out their initial allocation but asked for 800 more. Since then its been announced as being live on SKY and they seem to think those 800 wont now be needed. I hope there isnt just going to be a huge section of empty seats on Saturday, maybe if Carlisle return them sharpish they might go on sale to Rams fans??
