Last episode, even the last five minutes, are excellent. Some series completely screw up the finale and leave you feeling you've been a bit cheated, Ashes To Ashes is one that didn't.

Elwood P Dowd got a reaction from admira in Retirement thread
I've bee retired over 10 years now, with my hobbies, the garden, house jobs, my wife's jobs, holidays, Children, grand children, great grandchildren, there's not enough time in the day.
Work was highly over rated I don't miss it one bit, it always got in the way of my hobbies.
@admira In my experience you will soon find there are not enough hours in the day, retirement is not all comfy chairs and a nice nap in the afternoon😂 ...................well not very day.

Carlisle at home, we had won the league, in the Normanton lower, I was 15. 0-0, all on the pitch. It was going to be relaid so I took a piece from the centre circle. Went to school on the Monday and persuaded my teacher help me preserve it. 50 years later and despite me living all over the world I've still got it. Magical times.

Elwood P Dowd reacted to Ram-Alf in Retirement thread
I retired at 53 from RR, Took my pension and chilled out for 6 months, Then re set, I went and worked part time, I did this for 13 years, Chilled out between jobs when I felt my time there was up so moved on to other PT work...mostly cleaning or supervising cleaners.
Now retired fulltime...I'm 68 today 😊 🎂 and I find life is great and I enjoy everyday 👍

Let other clubs do what they think is best for them, for us the issue is as simple as it comes, win or draw and we are promoted.
We are going to beat Carlisle, I can then start worrying about next season back in the Championship👍😂

Also would he play some of his young uns to see how they fare for their next venture in league 2
3-0 at a canter for me 👍

Looks highly likely that Bolton will batter Peterborough on Saturday if they’ve given up then.
Just emphasises the point that promotion for us is FAR from guaranteed. We need that point. Ideally a comfortable 3 points would be nice

If so wouldn’t be surprised if the EFL charged them for playing weakened teams . It won’t matter as we will beat Carlisle 🐏🐏🐏

Elwood P Dowd got a reaction from Comrade 86 in It's Our Moment
His excitement may be attributable to the 1968\69 season when we won league 2 with Sir Brian, for so many seasons Derby had been nowhere, then all of a sudden it was as though someone had waved a magic wand and all our football dreams came true. It was one of those "you had to be there moments" I remember thinking, at the time, that things like this didn't happen to Derby County but they did. 😀
Having seen the changes in our fortunes there's a feeling, deep deep down, that this might happen again.
Yes I know things have changed and money rules football but facts and sats cannot compete with dreams.
