Excellent news. Wouldn't have blamed him if he left to go back to a massive international job. Shows how committed he is to the county, which is brilliant.

But vox is nothing to do with us, like I said unless he bans muslims etc why does it make a difference? For all we know some players who muslims are cheering for week in and week out at all clubs could be anti-muslim?
But if you were muslim yourself, imagine how you'd feel if someone heavily involved in the hierarchy of your football club supported a political group openly calling for a 'reconquest' of Spain and the deportation of tens of thousands of Muslims. yeah that's a problem to me.

Surely I can't be the only one who couldnt care less about Alonso's political views? Everyone has and is entitled to their opinion whether we agree with it or not.
Unless he starts to implement any of these supposed views onto Derby County such as not employing gay people or allowing them into ground then what does it matter?
Considering Vox run on outright anti-Islam platforms and we have players and fans who are Muslim or have families that are Muslim, It becomes a bit of a problem imo.

Would be no surprise to see Tomori in the Chelsea side soon. They desperately need more pace in their defence, get caught in transition too often (like we did) and need that pacy player to get them out of trouble.

Obviously a gutting thing for us as derby fans, but it at least makes me a bit happy that there's still more to football than money to some. He will have quite clearly taken a pay cut to go there, to play for his boyhood club before retiring. It's a decision I'm sure we all would like to think we would also make, but when put in the position I'm not sure many would. Good luck, Didzy.
