Or with the payment plan only the first year come from the bid itself the following two years comes from other funds? In that case the amount could be 5% in year 1 15% in years two and three. Vastly reducing the amount needed to come out of the purchase bid

EFL rules have included the option of 35p in the pour over a payment plan instead of 25p in the pound as a lump sum - it’s just that most people have ignored it, including journalists, because it’s easier to say we are doomed.

Not true, the agreement in place would mean we’d have to live within our means taking that into account. Exiting administration with an agreement in place wouldn’t mean we can’t pay fees

In fact the 35p in the pound option has been there since 2015.

Possibly, not sure. But with any agreement plan it’s got to come from somewhere

Wow - looks like someone’s finally caught up with what I posted weeks ago. I’d we didn’t have to pay 25p in the pound to avoid sanction.

its been the case for years that it’s a choice if 25p in the pound up front or 35p in the pound over a payment plan.

Can’t win if you don’t finish. It’s going to be hard for redb bull to sort reliability issues out during the season - they ten to stick around.

That will depend on if we get enough points to climb out of the relegation zone.

If we don’t get enough pints to climb out of the bottom 3 then to me there is no point paying more to avoid the points deduction. The saving can then be used to help fund players for next season.

the only time I think he will pay enough to avoid the points deduction would be if we manage to get out the bottom 3, as it would mean we stay in the championship with no points deduction.

Erm - the golden share is a red herring

    1) exit Admin under an agreement that does not meet EFL minimum results in points deduction but the golden share is transferred
    2) exit admin and meet EFL requirements golden share is transferred

if football creditors paid in full and HMRC and other creditors agree a payment plan for what’s left then golden share is transferred in either scenario.

There is no threshold for golden share transfer

Seriously  though if Appleby is wanting to raise more funds could Clooney be a go to option for him - after all it would make us a world wide brand almost instantly
