Warne isn’t happy with the performance
Fans: ahh at least he’s honest.

Some of us raise concerns about the performance
Fans: can’t you just enjoy the win?

Why can Warne criticise the performance but not the rest of us?

I’ve said before and I’ll reiterate. In my opinion. We will 100% end up in the play offs this year whether we have McClaren, Warne or Big Bird sat in the dugout so that’s why performances are so important to me. I want to know we have a well oiled machine where everybody knows their role and is coached to do their role well so that if we do go up we are ready to compete rather than needing another 12 signings.

You obviously don't see the constant jibes at posters who aren't happy with the standard of football being served up. Well I have, and being one of those the jibes are aimed at I aimed back. I've not read any more of your post than the line highlighted.

Similar. A regression from Lincoln but an improvement from some of the earlier games. We looked okay for 20 minutes then after we scored we couldn't string more than two passes together. That said there were positives in Collins, Nyambe, and the defence looking solid as a whole. I feel Nyambe in particular is going to offer us a lot, he's the perfect player to be playing behind NML with how solid he is defensively.
Edit - Nelson stood out too.

I know that. Warne wasn't impressed with our performance either, you want to tell him we won? Although I think he knows.

Find him really unlikeable, would happily get someone else in for his role.

I saw some stuff that I haven’t typically seen from Paul Warne since he’s been at Derby, but would associate with him at Rotherham.
The flat back four gave almost nothing away, Wildsmith a little erratic with some long range efforts but the defence gave nothing easy away and defended well at set pieces.
Fornah showed there is definite a player in there, but still very raw. Football didn’t really stick at times and he looked like a midfield Osula. Still, ability is definitely there to see. Korey Smith tidy enough, but I think he has the lowest ceiling out of everyone in the team.
I don’t think Waghorn suited his role in the side, personally, I just think you play him centrally or don’t bother. You wouldn’t play Collins wide left so you shouldn’t Waghorn. Sibley didn’t really do enough, think it was evident that he’s still not quite up to speed fitness wise which is a shame. NML pick of the bunch from the attacking midfield three but all of them would’ve expected more of themselves.
Collins was excellent. Threw himself about, battled and scrapped - well deserved two goals.
Same issues still remain, we struggle to retain control of the ball and pace of the game. The back four really limited the Carlisle attack to anything decent but there’s just too much erratic play amongst the team, so desperate to get the ball forward that we’re playing so many hopeful balls. Fornah tried to play Collins and Waghorn in behind a couple of times, it’s just not their game, I have no doubts that he’s been asked to move the ball forward quickly (as are most of them) but it doesn’t half end up looking like a dog’s dinner more often than not.
Still, the win today is exactly what I predicated: Leaning on an underfunded side, with a mixture of players massively out their depth and players trying their best to do 2/3 people’s jobs. Warne will continue to win games like this, for sure, and with a run at underfunded sides coming up then it should leave us in a decent position going into the winter period. I’d just love to see us adapt some control to our play - that was the first time this season that Carlisle had more of the ball than their opponents. I know it’s an elective by-product of how we play, but I don’t like it. I just feel like we’re leaving so much more out on the table in terms of performance.

Miles off the mark with your assessment on what I think but no worries. I've already said my opinion, sort the home form out and nobody will care how we play away.
Now I'm off for a drink, a wins a win.

Cambridge at home next week then 7 league games in October.
Blackpool, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury & Stevenage away plus Charlton, Exeter & Northampton at home.
Six of those teams are below us in the league.
…………………..got to be top six by Halloween!

The team looking like it's gelling into something to believe in would move me away from the fence and back towards my sit with it armchair.
The team continuing to look and feel chaotic may edge me towards the pap this guy, get someone else a go side even if they pick up some results.

No wobbly mate and for the record, the 'happy clappers' are just as bad. There is a core of posters on here who recognise that neither party is correct and that the evaluation is not and cannot ever be as binary as the likes of you and Ilson would have us believe. Let's not forget that there were cretins on here shouting Warne out after three games and it's been relentless since.
Log on > state your opinion > move on
Thanks for the advice though 😂

Watched this on TV, thought Wildsmith was good as usual, Nelson is becoming a man mountain missed nothing, and Collins had his best performance this season so pleased he got himself a brace.
Need to get our home form sorted now, starting with Cambridge next week.
Derby winning on a saturday makes my weekend, all who was lucky enough to go, have a safe journey home, could hear u on the TV, well done for your support today, driving the team on to victory. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

Come on you lot, yeah we could play nice football and win, likewise we could just you know, enjoy the 3 points and have a night off the bickering (both sides).
Really doesn't have to get that personal you know.
Saying that, crack on if you want as I have a plane to catch back home so I won't be reading.

Not a classic performance but we won and kept a clean sheet. Carlisle must feel they deserved something from the game as they we’re probably the better side overall but we took our chance when they came and they didn’t.

Utter rubbish. I repeated what he said.

The commentator has just repeated it again ‘do you want performances? No not really’

I don’t have some evil vendetta I find him likeable but the comment about not being fussed about better performances irks me. It’s rubbish.

    Radio Derby interview;
    - Dom pointed out Warne’s first game was a 2-0 away win with a Collins double and a year on the same thing (different opponents of course).
    - Warne commented that our performances haven’t been great lately, so he feels how many on here do, but will take a scrappy away win in this league.
    - Wasn’t happy with the officials today.
    - Said he wanted to give less mins to Barkhuizen, Wilson and Sibley after Tues night to manage their return from injury but Embleton being injured changed things.
    - Embleton quad injury taken a corner in training, no timeline yet.

    - Dom asked “where are the injuries coming from?” Warne said “I don’t know” went on to say some of them are disappointing (conditioning issues led to Sibley, Barks and Wilson) others are circumstantial (Bird, Ward, Rooney).
    - Feels we weren’t competitive enough at times today, but then also that we were tough to beat. Thinks performances will improve collectively and individually, and acknowledges that winning is important even if a performance was poor.
