The BBG wasn't so special when I first started going to games in the 60s with plenty of empty spaces on the terraces, but I still loved going. How different it was standing on the Popside in the 70s on the European nights, they were the highlights for me. Beating Benfica, led by Eusebio, 3-0 was just one of the many magical nights. But it was the players on the pitch and the event -the European Cup - that made it special not the ground.
If we had now the players we had then Pride Park would be just as special. I don't miss having to arrive 45 minutes before kick off to get a good spot on the terrace, the struggle to get to the toilet or the crush on leaving.
When the fans decide to make it happen, as they have done the past 2 home games, the atmosphere generated at pride Park can be electric.

Loads of Derby flags at the cricket today.. Bexley certainly lives the life, he is there again.
Strange, never seen the flag at a Derby match.

Up at the back of the South stand we hear very little slagging off of individual players. Everyone is standing and its more like the old terrace atmosphere. Individual moans don't get heard because there's always a chant being started, it may not spread down the stand but there's rarely a moment without someone trying to get one going
I've been in all areas of the ground since it opened in 1997 and i have found the quieter the area the more likely some knobbhead will scream out his displeasure at one of the players. Maybe they don't get a word in at home so its the only chance they will be heard!
When you are more interested in getting behind your team you are less likely to moan during the match.
Thinking back, it happened at the Baseball Ground in the seating areas, the terraces were generally full of people who wanted to sing and support their team. They tended to leave the moaning until after the game.

Top post me owd mucker. Moaning about players is all well and good in the pub, at work or on here, but it takes a special type of cockwomble to slag their own players off at the match.
Don't go, stay at home and moan on Radio Derby on a Monday evening.

Me, gloat? Never
Not really heard much other than snippets. Think a few more will be going. We still want a winger and central midfielder, think people know the targets there, but hard to do. If I hear anything new pops up then I'll let you know if the times right. But I don't hear everything, like I didn't hear about Nugent being close until it was in the press, so it depends.

RiddingsRam got a reaction from Genius. in January Transfer Suggestion Thread
I've said a few times on various other threads that we should be seriously looking at Sebastian polter from QPR. Can play with his back to goal , good finisher and good in the air . (Just got a daft haircut)

Hi welcome to the sight Ollie. Wish I could agree with your 1st post , he does nothing for me to inconsistent and for his physical stature he seems too offer very little of it on the pitch .
