Mike Ashley's head of PR, Keith Bishop, exclusively tells Sky Sports News the former Newcastle owner is "very much interested" in buying Derby County but is "frustrated" by the takeover process

My grandaughter had one early as well, but she is 13 now and says she has got other things to do on a saturday now( don't know what.?) . So hav'nt managed to brainwash her yet, though she did go on the march and to the match.??

If 80,000 people hold hands, we can create a human chain from Pride Park to EFL HQ in Preston

A slight variation which requires fewer people than a protest march ...
If you create a handwritten petition to the Prime Minister, even with only one signature on it, your MP can arrange for you to hand deliver it to 10 Downing Street.
    (If the rules haven't changed.)
There's also a holding pen opposite Downing Street that protest groups seem to be able to "book" to wave flags and chant and use megaphones and whatever.
So, that might be an option for a few hundred people to protest (near parliament) with a photo op at 10 Downing Street.
Then everyone could head to parliament and lobby their MPs in central lobby.

    Oh rooster.
”The former Newcastle owner is fuming about the way the Rams’ administrators rejected his offer to buy the club and even subsidise it this season.”
If true this shows that quantuma are money grabbing bar stewards

They've come together with MPs, Marketing Derby and big employers like RR, Toyota as "Team Derby" to support the administrators and exert pressure where they can.
Leader of Council set up the meeting with Mel Morris that probably paved the way  for Mel's statement yesterday.
Very supportive with the walk - Mayor and lots of employees there as well as councillors.
If you read the Derby County updates thread, the John Forkin posts give more details about what Team Derby are doing.

This is a tricky one, The Council leader Chris Poulter is also a season ticket holder at DCFC, They do put their hands in the funds they have, But to put in millions even if a loan someone or something will have to take a back seat.
Derby County DOES bring in much needed cash and are a huge asset to the community, This would have to have cross party support for a loan, I just don't see this happening

Personally and yes i do think uncle Mel has done wrong .
But is anyone else like me and think Uncle Mel is being a tad unfairly crucified .
Personally think he just tried to be a little bit to clever .If you read his statements and really take it all in you can see his points and i have to be honest i agree with 98% of them i have to be honest .
If he came back to watch a match i wouldnt pat him on the back lets put it like that but i wouldnt wish him ill .
Yes he warrants some negativity but for me not in the amount he is getting it right now .
You can clearly see here that there is a brick wall to knock down in the shape of the EFL AND PARRY AND GIBSON . I personally thing Mel wil lnot be remembered for Derby County but for bringing down almost single handly the EFL . Because make no mistake when this is done the MP's will move swiftly on replacing the EFL .

I think this will ultimately prove whether Gibbo is serious when he says he has no desire to liquidate the club. If he won’t go for this then that statement is just noise.

There's a work around here for MM and Derby, there's nothing to stop him undertaking the following ...
    1. Agree to pay Derbys legal fees for a court case against m/w
    2. Agree to pay any legal costs that arise
    3. Sign a contract for this with Derby, stating that the legal fees to be given by mm are only for that purpose and not to prolong the survival of the club which is dependent on a new buyer being found. That the money is only applicable for an long as Derby shall remain a club, in case it goes into liquidation,  why continue the case.
This would negate mm not being able to stand in for Derby in the way he currently has preposed.
Let the potential buyers know he's doing this, with a contract stating the removal from them of legal liability for m/w cost.
Let the efl know that Derby wish to proceed in this way, requesting that under these circumstances, Derby be allowed to progress with the sale.

Spelt it wrong like most Forest fans.  He actually serves coffee. If not, I'd love a barrister who makes such sweeping generalisation within 5 minutes with no opinion of counsel.  Well worth his 400 quid an hour.
