Not buying it. First chance he was off. No loyalty, he could have given us a season or signed a contract so we got a fee but what the hell why should he care. He got paid to learn at Derby and had no qualms at all about going at the first opportunity with no thought of paying us back.

How long would you say somebody needs to stay to "pay us back". One season in L1? Two?

If a top flight Italian club wanted to offer me a contract and I was a free agent I'd almost certainly do what he's doing.

Not every player has to have unwavering loyalty to the club, for me the effort most of that squad put in last year is commitment enough.

  2. Very rarely comment but couldn't resist after reading some of the moving posts by others on here. Have spent all morning greedily devouring every post since the announcement yesterday, I just can't get enough.

It's been an absolutely torrid couple of years, but the way this darkness has galvanised everybody who cares about the club has been incredible to behold. It's brought together the city in an age where the country is divided, it's shown the pride that exists and how important it is to the identity of the people of Derby. The march before the Birmingham game is something I'll never forget and will always be proud to have been a part of. The Bielek bicycle kick made me lose my mind in delirious happiness and joy in a way that no bottom of the table, 2nd division, mid season game has a right to do.

Extremely early days but I can't believe how lucky we seem to have gotten with David Clowes. No fuss, no drama, just got on with buying the stadium before anybody knew they were even involved. Keen to shun the limelight, a breath of fresh air after the previous owner.

High hopes for the future. Long live Derby County Football Club. Up the Rams.

I thought knight  was poor today and morrison had a good game. but we have no cutting edge, that is very obvious and very painful after three narrow defeats where we should have got something from all three games really if we had any strikers at all.  But I don't think I can remember such poor reffing for the Cardiff goal since attwell against forest .

I am delighted that I'm not the only Derby fan that still holds a grudge against Atwell for that diabolical display, even though it must be over 10 years ago now.

Saw him reffing the league cup final this weekend and it brought it all back.

Like the banker stearman or the banker Morrison?

Spot on. Reaction to Lawrence's red has been hysterical, understandable but completely OTT given that he's far from the only one who's been sent off this season. Yes it's costly, but only because he's been our most important player this season and without his contributions we'd have been done a long time ago.

The problem with Lawrence is that he's got that red mist in him, No good being a Captain if you can't control your temper, WR to make a decision once Lawrence comes back, I know what i'd do, Fine him and give the armband to CD.

PS...huge well done to Sibley ?

Just my take on this, but I disagree. To inflict a hit to the motivation of our top goalscorer and a key player if we're going to stay up would be madness.

I suspect it'll be a bollocking from Rooney, take your punishment, get back in the team and act like a leader.
