  1. Realistically, I don't think Mel Morris isn't expecting to get money or influance at DCFC. I do however think he probably is very interested in protecting his position in any liability/legal sense and given the complex and spraling labarinth of Mel-isms that permiated the club by the end the potential for things to still be a potential threat to Mel Morris may be there. I am no expert and have no knowledge, but that's my guess as to why MM would be interested in anything at DCFC. Although it could be he's technially owed some money as a creditor that he wants to get.
  2. Oh yeah, once he's under pressure it'll be back to the hilarious sweary crashy max we all love to hate.
  3. It's Vegas Baby! Yeah I'm not fussed either. F1 has had an obsession with "the TV shot of F1 cars racing down the los Vegas strip" for decades it seems like. It'll be trash. The hype will be trash. The track looks trash. That one TV shot of the strip. The race will most likely be trash. They've tried having a grand Prix in Vegas before. It sucked. However, I'm not alone in being grumpypants about it, so is mantrum throwing world champion max Verstappen. Hates sprints, hates Vegas, hates drive to survive...I may warm to him yet. In terms of actual racing, Perez can secure P2 in the driver's providing he doesn't soil himself. The most exciting part is going to be can alpha Tauri overtake Williams, the AT car is good now. The AT drivers are good now.
  4. No idea. My guess would be if it's not then you'll be able to get a ramsTV stream.
  5. I'm very sad to hear this news. I only knew B4 from this forum and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying his pre-match rallying crys were a highlight of every match and much beloved by many on here. In some ways it may seem small in the scale of things, posting on a football forum, but through here B4 brought joy and touching words to more than a few. I'm sure that reflects the man who those who knew, loved. My deepest condolances to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Daniel, B4, forever a Ram.
  6. Oh I think they've got to stay with him. Give it time. Build the club in his image. Potato uber alles
  7. Oh it's easy, we only won because Barnsley are terrible enough to be a league 1 team.
  8. Warne out now. enough is enough. getting 2 more will probably keep him in a job a week.......<etc> 😁
  9. It is possible it's a health and safety issue not because of any actual hazard but because of paperwork non-compliance (risk assessment etc) putting the club at a potential liability. It's stupid, but possible. Either way, it's important to remember the lost, to mourn for those who will not grow old. I personally don't like the big displays about it, but I don't think those organising this had anything but the right motives.
  10. Hate it. Bin it. Just think, there are going to future generations who've only ever known VAR football..........poor suckers, we might as well incinerate the earth just to spare them.
  11. Derby 3-1 Barnsley Bird frgs "Come on baby let the good times roll" "Fans are going home happy tonight" "Best we've played all season" Paul Warne: "it was obviously nice to get the win but I was very disappointed in some of our play, too much time on the ball, going through the phases, pulling the defense around to get out looks. I'm frankly livid and they'll be doing hard running all week and crossing practice "
  12. I remember hearing that a lot of the direction of mercedes development during the dominant years had been at least signposted by Ross Brawn before he left and Toto was able to surf that up until the major rule changes in 22. I suspected BS when I heard it, but Wolf is not looking like he's on top of it at all. It certainly seems they've made some seriously bad choices and it seems like the engineers are constantly on the back foot to even get the car 2nd, 3rd 4th fastest, same as for the most part the drivers have been doing a hell of a job to get the most out of it, the porblems at Merc are high up in the managment and technical leads, and it certainly seems they're not as strong as they used to be in that regard, the slow ebb away of people to other teams is taking it's toll as well. I get that having to add "behind Max Verstappen" to every race has been a grind, but the other teams are getting closer and I have everything crossed for next season having at least 1 proper rival to the red bull. What I 100% do not want is the orangisers to start trying to artifically hobble Max, it only ends up sucking more than giving it a little while to shake out.
  13. I think they should lean into it more. "The away fans there launched into a version of hi-ho silver lining but it now references former player who they do indeed, want to f*** off" "I don't think that one needs our interprretation, we can all agree that patrick bamford is a bamford"
  14. Ferrari managed to Ferrari Leclerc before the race even started today. Easy win for Max (obvs), Norris untroubled in second but not enough to challenge, Alonso won out over Perez in some pretty good racing at the end of the grand prix. following on were baby stroll, Sainz, Gasly, Lewis, YUKI Tsunoda, Ocon. Turn 1 crash took out Albon and K-mag, the race was red flagged and piastri and ricciardo had their cars fixed to restart but were considered a lap down as they'd not done the lap under the safety car that everyone else did. George retired but was scoring points when he did, both saubers retired, Logan sargent finished P11 ahead of the haas of hulk and the two lap down aussies. So, my Yuki to red bull train must be gathering momentum by now, out qualifys danny twice and finishes ahead twice bringing home points in the sprint and the grand prix - go Yuki, fulfill that fast but erratic destiny.
  15. We have seen derby sides put in cup performances like today before and end without the replay, so, that's a small crumb i suppose.
  16. Having reflected on it, today was more irritating than disaster, i wouldn't have been happy if we'd lost 2 nil - it's the lack of creativity in forward areas that just does your head in. They tried. The did what they'd been told to do. But really, just cross-clearance-cross-clearance-defensive f*** up-cross clearance.
  17. As the manic Street Preachers sang, if you tolerate this, then selling Bird will be next....
  18. Well, that was pretty bad for the most part. Attacking with the finesse of a bewildered cow and defending with the resolution and passion of someone who's taken too much valium.
  19. Collins has the ball in the next but it's off side. Sibley coming on for nyambe
  20. Collins and Wilson and Cashin and Ward for barks, Bradley and fozzy and Washington. Not inspiring tbh
