  1. I'd agree, we don't know the extent to which he was carrying injuries but it seems that's at least a part of it with him. A preseason of getting PW fit and getting properly in sync with what his job is going to be and I think we'll see more from him next season.
  2. You've got to think even the players we let go will have demand for their services having just won promotion.
  3. Best ever placing for me. I can only put it down to my decision to wear a foil lined bobble hat at all times since September last year. I'm petitioning to have the wearing of the bobble hat become a protected characteristic of those who follow Paul Warne. Not only has the lining kept out the government mind control rays, it has improved my career success and my love life.
  4. I'd love it to be him,but we need to remember that it's someone capable of doing the job he was doing we need to sign rather than we need to sign Adams. Although for saying that, what I really want is to sign Ebou Adams.
  5. Surely there's no rush to consider Warne's contract, there's enough length to give both sides comfort. Much as actually achieving promotion has put to he'd a lot,I know some have a valid question about Paul Warne in the championship. I feel like if that gets answered positively (in so far as results in line budgets and expectations from the board) then it comes down to what PW wants to do as it's clear Clowes is bought into PW for all sorts of reasons beyond the bare results.
  6. Don't panic anyone, they're going to Matlock Bath Pavilion.
  7. So it's changed from "Ban3mall4eva!" to "B1ggerthanNathan1als8+"?
  8. Avon Tyres stand, Ron Brooks Toyota Stand, Just Eat End, I-Pro corner, f*** the EFL until the End. But seriously, I like the Railway End for the north stand and Popside for the East stand. and the newly renamed mel morris toilet faclities, complete with image of his face in the bowl.
  9. I'd be happy with something a bit like "never seriously looked in danger of going down" along with some positive signs of building the squad. I don't expect Warne's style to change very much, but, being a better team doing it at a higher level should raise the standard a bit.
  10. This will no doubt surface as proof on the forest incel 4chan without further scrutiny. "They're not even hiding it anymore, everyone knows a combination of lizard people, oil wealth investment funds, the CIA and the new world order project are doing everything they can to relegated forest. Donate to my fundraiser so I can keep grifting...sorry... fighting for the truth"
  11. It was fine, but i couldn't really get over that feeling that we "shouldn't" have been there.
  12. How good it is it to have Marc Marquez back to his old self? Sprint was crazy, but the main race was good. the formula e monaco race merits a look at the highlights. BTCC was it's usual self, the reverse grid race at the end being particually fun. There was british GT at silverstone as well, soaking wet and not really followed it as there's only so many hours in the day.
  13. I'll just say that Cambridge is recognised internationally as a center of high intellect and should an entire stand of the citizens of this exulted epicenter of learning, wisdom, philosophy and literature decide, en mass, that Lyle Taylor is a w*****, I'd be inclined to agree with them.
  14. Cashin, Nelson, Nyambe, NML, maybe Wilson are all players I could see other clubs wanting. Cashin is the only one I could see other clubs wanting enough to be seriously trying to get off us. There's quite a few of our out of contract players who are deffo going to have options for next season.
  15. Did the police get to celebrate with horses and baton charges or did love win the day after all?
  16. I managed a post lunchtime beers afternoon nap until about 9pm at which point i remembered the rams are going up ole ole and i was happy all over again.
  17. My partner keeps asking me to stop singing wonderwall..... .... ..... I said maybe.......!
  18. Don't worry about toxic social media, it's generally not a good barometer of what fans actually think on any given subject. I've nothing against Bolton and we all know it's been a long journey for Bolton back from near death, and in my view Bolton are club of the top 2 divisions and I would be happy to see you back in the championship again. Evatt seems a bit whingy, bitchy, throw shade in his comments though.
  19. The thing with Ed Dawes, is it's easy to forget there are much much worse commentators littering local radio coverage. He's genuinely not that bad, and imo much better for the absence of the rammage banter. He cares, he does his best, he's frequently been on the end of fans venting frustrations far beyond not liking his commentary. Graham Richards, Ross Fletcher, Colin Bloomfield (who was not a natural sports commentator and really had to work at it) Owen, Dom, Colin Gibson, Radio Derby genuinely do a really good job of covering DCFC and I'm pretty sure that's because they do love the club beyond doing the job.
  20. I'm not sure I'd want to lean on him to much for a championship season, but we'll just have to disagree on that. Bradley hasn't been a particularly high bar this season but I would agree fix has been better when he's been playing.
  21. I think the ref probably did the sensible thing in the circumstances and I don't think anyone involved is going to be particularly unhappy. Had we been clinging on by fingernails with Bolton winning big and 1 goal for Carlisle changing everything I could see on much unhappiness, but in the situation probably nothing lost by not playing those 2 minutes, even though it was incorrect.
