  1. Use your signal indicator before turning

When someone signals to enter your lane, here's a novelty, let em

Don't have conversations in doorways, move along

And since i mentioned doors, either leave or don't leave, don't half leave and hang up that phone already

If you are incapable of tying your laces while chewing gum, do not use your phone while driving

Look up from your smartphone before crossing the road, you crazy kid

At first opportunity place a divider on the checkout conveyor belt for the next person

Store manager,59.99? Really? Shall i return the insult and call you a blithering idiot? Okay, deal

If someone is nice to you, be nice back, you moody biatch

Do not travel on public transport if personal hygiene is not your thing, in fact don't leave the house, ever

Do not, i repeat do not drill into a concrete wall in a multi apartment house on a Sunday morning

If you borrow a book, it's your job to remember to return it and when you do, not in tatters thank you

But i am trying to be more forgiving

    Nahh

The 95p 99p does actually work though, you may well see through it but lots in their mind see it as lower amount, you cannot blame marketing people for using methods that work.

Yes, unfortunately it works, but i don't see that as a reason to condone it.  Brainwashing and indoctrination also work, as does media propaganda, which affects all of us, not just the ignorant, but i digress.

  3. Commercials, they seem to be at double volume of regular programming.  Some really cringe worthy ones like the Joe Hart dandruff commercial, the things folks will do for a paycheck and air time, i don't mean Hart i mean the ones playing the fans.
Saw one promising all natural honey as opposed to synthetic honey i suppose.  Aimed at halfwits so many of them.

And while i'm on the subject of advertising, stores that price their stuff at 99.95 do my head in.  They call me an idiot and then want my money, not going to happen.

  4.

The universe likes to tease me sometimes.  We got up at 6am the other day to catch the grand opening of an appliance store at 7am.  We got there at 7 but already there was a line a half mile long.  Wife needed a blood pressure checker device thingy because she is on medication for high blood pressure and we needed a new toaster and cheap hairdryer and i needed an electric shaver.  At 8am i saw there was still at least 20 minutes until we would be let inside and we were running late already for wife had to show up at her work at the Red Cross and 9am and i had an appointment with our family doctor at 9.20am and so we gave up and returned to our car.  Wife blamed me for the whole fiasco and we had a hearty argument most of the way home about it.  i decided we needed some cheering up so i came by at the bakery.  My phone rang and it was the doctor's office telling me that my time had been cancelled because of the doctor's sick offspring.  Yay, another perfect day :pinch:

We are in full agreement now though, no more grand openings for us.

  5. i'm dealing with mood swings, emotional imbalance and low stress tolerance, it sometimes pushes me into depression.

The best way for me to feel better, aside from talking about it is get my sleep and eating in order and become physically

tired from some activity.  The trouble is the depression lies into my ear, what's the use, don't even try, you are worthless.

No wonder that in older times people thought depression was some kind of demons infesting them.

i am looking more and more at it as my mortal enemy, whatever it is.

    Am impressed with this thread.

  6. That sofa saga is like a photo art project Uttoxram and we got to see it for free.

Around here littering is a problem, but what's even worse is the graffiti.  The east end of our apartment house is covered with it and as soon as it's painted over it's back again in ever increasing vulgarity.  The residents voted to place a camera 4 meters high on the wall.  It lasted three days and then the little ******** stole it and the recording showed no evidence of anything, just cut out suddenly.

  7. Have you tried Gogol Bordello or Mad Juana? If EBJC works, you should give them a try. Neither has proper singer but attitude is spot on.

And Wonderlust King is great earworm!

Hey thanks Dimmu, that's good stuff.  i like Gogol Bordello, something about the singer reminds me of Dadan from the movie Black Cat White Cat.  The song not a crime is a blast.  Mad Juana is fun as well, Valhalla got me moving for sure. This is a little bit different, but after what you offered me i think you might just like it, if you're not a fan already that is.

Not for the easily offended i might add.

  8. So he's too good a boxer to be considered great, in a round about way.

I'm irked because I think you've let your personal opinion of Mayweather cloud your judgement of him as a boxer.

In a straight forward way, no he is not.  Seems to me that you were irked because i have a different opinion to yours regarding Mayweather.  Boxing is like football in that opinions vary greatly and that's one of the more interesting aspects to it IMO.My personal opinion of Mayweather is based only on how he boxes.  He does what he does very well and skillfully if you like, but a great fighter he is not.  Don't let it irk you, it's just my opinion, how you see it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

  9. warriors are generally the ones that don't have the level of skill or ability and need to dig deeper to win. Mayweather doesn't need a warriors heart. Well, he doesn't need to show it.

For what's it's worth, I wanted Pac to win.

Yes i know it's rare when these things go together and that's why they are considered greats.  Chris Eubank for instance is IMO a good example of when it all comes together in one great fighter.  Ali, Leonard and a few others had this as well.  Yeah, i'm a bit sore over how the fight went, my wife being a Filipina and all, that and how the season ended for us has left my nerves raw.  Thanks for commenting.

  10. What in goodness name is anti boxing? More punches thrown, more punches landed.

Skill? Are you saying Mayweather isn't extremely skilled

Class? Mayweather post fight interview oozed class, Pacquiao's didn't

A warriors heart? What does that even mean? I doubt you could win 48 fights without having a 'warriors heart'

Anti boxing is a term i made up and refers to a theory i made up, it's mine, i own it and what it is too.  The theory is as follows, the next thing i am about to write is my theory.  Ready?  Here it is, the theory by ramit, that's mister to you, all boxers are thin at one end, much much thicker in the middle and then thin again at the far end, rather than thick all over.

You're a funny guy, i'll give you that.  You ask what a warriors heart is and then go on to state that Mayweather surely has one.  We differ in opinion as to what constitutes class and that's fine.   Yes Mayweather has skill at defense, i did admit that and you are fully aware of it, but you just want to have a tussle don't ya?  The point i attempted to make albeit clumsily is that you need all three of those attributes to be counted as one of the greats of boxing.  It may irk you to know that i am not alone with this opinion and that's entirely your problem.

  11. What i saw last night was not boxing, it was anti boxing.  In the hearts and minds of millions of boxing fans

Mayweather will never be considered one of the greats, for that takes skill, class and a warriors heart.

i like the Chelsea mention and agree, but an equally good one is the Greek team that became European champs,

they will never be considered one of the greatest teams that Europe has produced.  That was anti football.

  12. Defensively Floyd is very good, but offered nothing offensively.

A frustrating bout where one came to fight and the other to duck and scamper.

Manny would have to have taken more chances to take the fight to Floyd.

A tactical win, but pretty it was not
