So Rotherham win tonight against a middle table team with nothing to play for and some fans on here start putting the nails in the coffin for the Rams. Others coming out with statements like "we need other teams to help us out" . At the end of the season every team will have played 46 games, positions will state how bad, mediorce or good your team was. I don't want any one quoting that Sheff Wed had a 6 pt deduction, because currently if they had their 6 points back they would still be in the bottom 3 on their current form that will probably be the case. Officially at this stage, no team is relegated, but few will argue that it looks very differcult for Wycombe & Sheff Wed. 3 teams go down and Rotherham, Coventry, Derby, Huddersfield and Birmingham are all still in the mix. If we get mores points than 3 teams or more, thats down to our performance over 46 matches and not us relying on other results.
Some facts for the ones worrying about Rotherham, They play Coventry on Thursday, if they avoid defeat it will be only the 2nd time this season they have gone 3 matches on the bounce without losing. Starting with Thursday they have 8 matches to play in 23 days. In them 8 games they have 2 teams fighting for survival, possible 3 if Blackburn continue their bad form. They also have Barnsley and Brentford in play off places to play.  I still predict Wycombe, Sheff Wed and Rotherham to go down, if its going to be another team, please think of Coventry, Birmingham and Huddersfield are still involved and not just Derby.

Why worry you can’t do anything about it .
I would say the odds are still stacked against Rotherham finishing above Derby though

They can't score any goals against us anymore, so lets see what Derby do, not what Rotherham might do.

Ladapo went off injured for Rotherham and with another game on Thursday then they go again on Sunday. How many more of their squad will get injured. Rotherham V Coventry is a massive game for both teams, if Coventry win that will create a 6 point gap between them and Rotherham. If Rotherham win they go above Coventry on goal diff and close to one point on the Rams with 2 games in hand.
Would the Rams prefer the game to be a draw, keeping both below us. Those fans with sky sports can watch the game live on Thursday night.

Thats obvious, they are always going to be in a win win situation. If the favourite don't win, all the money bets on them become their cash. You will always get some die hard fan betting on their team early in the season when the odds are 100/1 or more and they will lose their money. But to say they get it wrong regularly is a bit off the mark. How many bookies go into liquidation, very few, the last big name was 666bet who went under in 2015 and most of that was linked to their online casino betting (not sporting odds). Bet365 owner Denise Coates in March this year paid herself for the 12 month period £421M. Oh and on top of that she got her company's bonus for the year of £48M. Bet365 mainly make most of their monies from people who make stupid bets. They were started by Denise only 21 years ago in a portacabin office in Stoke.
Denise Coates is the daughter of Peter Coates who is current owner and chairman of Stoke City. I just hope no Derby fan has bet on Rotherham staying up this season with Bet365, because when they go down, you are putting monies into Stoke City.

Odds get adjusted as the season progresses. Yes Liverpool were made favourites at the begining of this season but they adjust the odds, so the bookies don't make a loss. The season Leicester won the title (2015/16), they were not the favourites at the begining of the season to go down, Bournemouth were. You might be getting confused with the fact, one bookies had them 5000/1 to win the title. They only lost 3 games all season and as games went by, their odds were slashed.
As for Rotherham can score goals, yes they can and do better than most of the teams down in the bottom end of the table. But they also concede, only SIX teams in the entire Championship have conceded more. And when you consider Rotherham have leaked 51 goals in 37 games, the other six have played 3 or 4 games more to have leaked more. To save you looking its Wycombe Conceded 64, Sheff Wed 52, Coventry 56, Hudderfield 60, Preston 55 and Bristol 55 (all in bottom half of the table).
P.S. I'm a QPR fan tommorrow evening, Thursday evening Rotherham and Coventry can draw and I will be happy, but either one wins and one or both will still be below us.

They call it the "Champions League" which is strange, because teams enter this competition having finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th. When the Rams played in its old name "European Cup", we were the Champions of England.

Odds are drawn up before punters put money on the games, yes they will be adjusted if people start betting heavily on one of the teams. All major bookies have experts who work out the initial odds, smaller or independent bookies will follow the odds of the bigger companies. Bookies will not get it wrong on a regular basis, they would all be bankrupt. "Odds don't mean much" is a bit of a throw away statement.
As for Great escape, Rotherham have been down in the bottom 6 most of the season. They have one of the smallest squads in the Championship and have a massive 9 games to play in 26 days. If they pulled it off, trust me they would be plauded by the football media.

You might be predicting Rotherham to stay up, but the bookies have a different opinion. Bookies don't get fleeced very often, they have Wycombe favourites for relegation followed by Sheff Wed then Rotherham. Coventry being the next on the list. Information from "Oddschecker. com" under Championship Relegation. It shows all the major betting companies odds against the teams. Derby are 4 to 1 to go down.

9 matches in 26 days, it would be the greatest escape of all time to pull it off. I would fear Sheff Weds more than Rotherham if we kept on losing, even they would have to win their game in hand and gain 5 points on us to catch us.

Rotherham are not playing on the day of the Funeral, because they have a game Tuesday (QPR), then Thursday (Coventry). Their weekend game is Sunday (Birmingham), Then another game on the Wednesday (M'Boro) followed by Saturday 24th (Barnsley) and again Tuesday 27th (Brentford). Thats 6 matches in 14 days and when they have finished with their April fixtures they will only have the one game in hand over the rest of teams down the bottom of the table. Their games in May are Saturday 1st (Blackburn), Tues 4th (Luton) and last game Saturday 8th (Cardiff). Meaning they have 9 matches in 26 days!

Don’t get all this hand wringing over home and away. Our form is patchy, we need two good performances. As likely to happen home or away, pretty much,  and I don’t give a monkeys which it is. I think we’ll do it.
