Mel didn’t run the club very well at all and is responsible for running a business into the ground. But surely you don’t believe the EFL have acted beyond reproach and haven’t suffered major damage to their position as a creditable and unbiased regulator ?

Agree 100%. Blaming the EFL is nothing less than falling for Mel Morris's propoganda. The accusations he made against the EFL were just a smokescreen put up to try and deflect the blame from himself. It amazes me that so many fans fell for it but I guess people often try and find a scapegoat when things go wrong...

Doesn't it simply mean that MA or anyone else was free to submit a bid or negotiate with the Admins from 5 pm last Friday when CK's exclusivity ended?

Repeatedly dismissing the decisions of IDC’s and pushing for more draconian punishments.
Not making it clear to other members that unilateral action against a fellow football league member is not allowed.
Saving themselves from legal action by applying unnecessary points deductions to DCFC.
Not taking into account COVID losses and their impact on administration.
    Withholding TV payments
Barring DCFC from access to Covid rescue loans.
Having a rule book that is not compliant with UK Law
Having some very questionable members on their board.
Otherwise I agree with you mate.

The only thing the EFL is bothered about, is their image, this is a PR stunt. If Derby get liquidated then reflects very poorly on the policies and organisation of the league. They want to be Little Jack Horner.

Ostensibly the floor price is set by CKs accepted bid by all parties.

    So:
    1. CKs funds clear and he owns the club.
    2. Someone else outbids him, and they own the club.

that’s really it. Since his funds have been proven and amounts to be paid agreed. There is no offer below CKs ‘floor’ price that is currently acceptable.

His offer in early May wasn't enough to keep u sin the League leave alone to avoid 15 points deduction. Dunno what his next offer was but if he waited eight months to come up with a pathetic offer like his first one I won't be holding my breath over Ashley.

My point is that all parties have agreed a floor price with the CK deal. That means they will not accept anything lower.

So there are no more negotiations to be had. Either you meet the floor price or bugger off.
And the CK deal will only fall through if he turns out to be a proven criminal and his funds seized. As soon as they clear and hit the bank- it’s done- he’s the owner.

CK will be the next owner of Derby County, unless someone else decides to outbid him.

So all this bluster from the PR departments are meaningless.

Getting pretty tiresome with the media posts about Ashley (or anyone else) just wanting to be the clubs savior, and how he is ready to go. Bollocks.
There is an accepted offer on the table, that has been agreed to by all parties. That sets a floor price.

Yet negotiations are still open, because of the reasons reported. So all he (or anyone else)has to do is match or (more likely) beat the current accepted offer- then he becomes the next owner of Derby County. It’s simple. There are no deals to be had here. A floor price has been established by all parties- so now it’s just best bid wins.

And the fact he(or anyone else) is not just coming forward with an acceptable offer tells me they are not that serious about being the next owner.

We've been screwed by the EFL since the t***** from Teeside threatened them. That's why a takeover didn't happen six months ago when we still had a bit of a squad and an outside chance of stopping up.

OK, I'll avoid the urge to be facetious and address your points:
    A) Because as has been clearly documented, his earlier transfers remain locked until AML checks are complete.
    B) You've not been paying attention then. Google is your friend.
    C) Because he's not sending the cash this time, is he? What I'm suggesting is that someone has agreed to extend him a line of credit IN THE UK, thereby circumnavigating the anti-money laundering issues. I would assume that if this is the case, a guarantee would have been required and /or proof of transfer(s) be provided.
By all means doubt all of this and more. I'm not fussed. All will be revealed this week.

Suspect CK has secured a line of credit in the UK and provided a guarantee against it. CK gets the club Monday / Tuesday, Fat Mike kicked into touch yet again. To my way of thinking, tyre-kickers generally don't settle £1.6 Million bills to maintain the ruse or simply for a 'bit of a larf', so if that particular rumour is true, as it appears most likely it is, then those accusing CK of lying about his transfer may well need some bacon to go with the copious amounts of egg on their face next week. If it's not true, then presumably Fat Mike will simply fire over £30 million early next and we'll all kneel at his altar in gratitude.

From what Nixon has said a loan seems like a no go.
I know someone else mentioned it but maybe he is selling his jet with the condition to buy back for same price when back in the US? Wouldnt be a loan, and could explain why he didnt fly back to the US?
Could still maybe even be with Clowes buying it?
How else does someone generate money without loaning it? By selling something!

No matter what the EFL spout they cannot interfere in insolvency matters, they cannot compel creditors to take what is offered.

It will be interesting to know if Wigan were made to jump through as many rings as we have been made to or if it's just the EFL moving the goalposts as and when it suits them.

Im not opposed to Ashley taking over, or anyone really as long as we have a club.
My issue with Ashley is that it appears his offers have been way too low and his PR team are quick to spin this on the admins etc but if his offer was good enough he would be our owner now.
He is the richest out of all the interested parties, there is no reason at all for him, or any other interested party for that matter, to come in so low we end up with a points deduction.
There are agreements already in place with the EFL & creditors as well as between a 3rd party & Mel for the stadium - someone just needs to match CK bid and send the money, not keep mouthing off to the press when all you have done for 9 months is hope to pick the club at basement price and moan when you get shunned.

I can see where you're coming from but at the same time why cant Ashley buy us where we get 0 points deduction and still aim for long term profitability. What if we got relegated again all so he could save 3m (random figure) and the cost that would be to the club as a whole. Just doesnt make sense short or long term imo to start on minus points. Plus if its a lower offer than CK it means renegotiating with everyone again which makes it all drag on even longer.

Other than a lack of communication this week can someone explain what CK has actually done wrong for so many to turn against him as owner now?
If, like Nixon and now both Sky & the Mirror are reporting, that he has sent the money but it is being held up by AML checks, what more could/can he actually do? It sounds like he tried alternate ways to send the money around the 31st deadline which werent successful so he went back to the original way of sending it last Mon 6th.
Even if he did come out & say something, would the now sceptics have believed it anyway?
Seems to me like other parties are trying to dirty the waters with CK bid and it is working. Ashley is nowhere near being the saviour if like Q statement says his bid was too low to satisfy the EFL. If someone matches or betters CK bid then lets crack on, but so far its been all talk no action from these other interested parties. They all know what the cost is, it cant be any lower, so if you're serious, put up or shut up.

I certainly hope Kirchners "funds" dont clear. he should not be in the running.
throughout this process he is not only shown he is incompetent but also a complete coward. his silence has really rubbed me up the wrong way, if you seriously intend to still own the club - he should be saying so. you think people will just forget if it gets over the line?
ashley is letting the press do his talking, ck is communicating to nobody and appears like a sulking teenager. not old enough, not wise enough, not wealthy enough. should be moved on, but he wont be because he offers the best deal for the creditor and thats Q job.
