    Ok I've read it now.
A couple of interesting points, but basically 3 pages of self justification and an offer that probably won't be taken up. I did say the MFC "open letter" last week had a lot of not relevant points, so does this.
Interestingly Wycombe have just said we owe them money but not claimed it by way of proceedings...
I'll have to go through and think about it more critically later.
I do think However that this move from Morris does achieve a lot in terms of narrative, positioning and reputation, if Boro and Wycombe reject this, no matter how practical or justified the reason the wider world will see their continuing action in a different light.

Rick Parry via email has just stated he needs to have a look at it properly and talk to colleagues, but doesn’t see any reason why they’d prevent this.

Would be a very interesting case for the new owner to take on, one that I would be supportive of if they can prove that the administrators were willing to accept their bid before the January transfer window, and these claims were the only thing that prevented them proceeding. You could have a strong case for damages for the loss of players and extra administration fees incurred.
Not sure about bringing Gibson and Couhig into it, whilst they made the claims, it’s the EFL entertaining the idea they are football debts.
I know some would prefer for us not to engage in a further war with the EFL, however the time to kiss and make up has long gone, by bringing a claim for damages to the courts would help to ultimately see why we are desperately in need of an independent regulator.

Interested to see what limp wristed response we’ll get back from the Admins, not that they’ll meet any deadlines or targets anyway. To me they look like rabbits in headlights out of their depths and unable to work out where to start first.
Tell Boro and Wycombe to get ******, tell them to stick their biased meetings and process of arbitration up Their ****
Go to court, get an answer either way and put this to bed one way or another.
Stop pussyfooting around now and take action

I posted this on the 29th of January...Not a bad detective aye
MM takes on the EFL where TV revenue was agreed, MM with I think the support of Leeds and Villa critisize the EFL for selling all 72 clubs short, In other words a shambolic agreement with Sky, The EFL in their opinion got the best deal they could, Battle lines have been drawn, Parry takes the helm at the EFL and replaces Jevans, Ridsdale jumps aboard the good ship venus and conclude the Sky deal done and dusted.
Maguire has consistantly been rebuffed by the EFL concerning DCFCs accounts, Parry and co look into these and see something that looks a little iffy, They request past accounts and up to date accounts, Hhhmmm they say things don't look to rosey down at Pride Park you're given a transfer emargo, Investigation concludes we fail P&S and a 9 point deduction with 3 points suspended and found guilty of a minor infraction of amortisation ie not quite innocent of the explaining of the accounting method and fined £100,000, EFL appeal and told to do one, EFL say they are disappointed with the outcome but accept, MM puts DCFC into Administration with a further 12 points deduction totaling -21 points.
In the meantime Boro send a document to the EFL saying we will go after you(the EFL)but we will drop any action if you go after DCFC, They decide DCFC are on their knees relegation is a certainty league 1 is only a step away, Holy shyte DCFC are making a fist of it, Could they possibley gain on those above, A plan is needed to stop this, Parry reverts to the Boro document and assembles the Coven, DCFCs admin are close to annoncing a PB, How can the EFL blow that rescue pontoon that DCFC have built, Talks between the EFL and Boro are coming to fruition but need a fairy godmother to rubber stamp their plan, Come on down WW, They get involved as a makeweight so fingers are not just pointing at the EFL and Boro.
EFL and Admin meet to discuss and anounce the PB, EFL play their joker, Boro/WW are creditors, Holy duck say the Admin, Our PB will not accept that, We're unable to confirm what we have told our manager WR, Someone has not just moved the goalposts but dug them up and thrown them away, WR is spitting blood, Derby fans worldwide are very angry, The EFL/Boro and WW are like a Cheshire cat which got the cream, DCFC still can't sign anyone, Have to unload players who are only on 6 month contracts, Their cash is coming to an end, They will have to sell more or come up with £5m for DCFC to complete the season or COULD LOSE their membership of the EFL.
The shyte has hit the fan in a very big way, Boro and WW owners are going on the offensive, The EFL say we know nowt as we are not in talks with either of those 2 clubs, DCFC fans, MPs, Celebs, Councillors, Businesses and Uncle Tom Cobley and all get involved on saving DCFC, Meetings galore this last 2 weeks appear to be going in DCFCs way, The BBC have woken up, Gary Neville speaks out, The National press get involved, Martin Samual does a great report in the Mail.
The EFL appear to be shocked, Gibson releases a statement that is now in the hands of MI5 to decipher, Couhig goes on radio Derby and talks and talks, The interviewer mooches off for a coffee comes back to find Couhig still talking, Then Ed says thankyou for that and ends the interview.
Timelines may be a little ascue...but I hope you get the gist.
Non of the above could have happened without the 3 parties being intouch with eachother...hence the big "C"

Also, like before this is a coordinated EFL and parasite PR push.
Efl last night, Boro lunchtime, so expect Wycombe to start bleating this evening/night.
Same format as last time……….but it’s not coordinated and they aren’t trying to dupe people………..honest!

Alan Nixon clearly knows a lot about what is going on - the main quibble has been that he's been dishing out the info in something akin to Times crossword clues.
However it does seem like it's national come off the fence day.
First the EFL - nailing their colours to the good ship Steve-Stephen-Stevie and then Nixon speaking clearly....... literally calling Wycombe ambulance chasers and having a pop at the size of Steve-Stephen-Stevie's claim.
    It's long overdue and welcome.

If Gibson believed his case was valid he’d keep his mouth shut, sit back and allow the process to justify his claim.
This new letter is him flailing around trying to act like he’s right…………he isn’t.
It’s actually a sign of weakness

I think if anything it is quite a relief that a large part of their claim is based on something that DCFC were categorically cleared of.
So we have two claims. One moaning that Derby’s accounts were submitted within an EFL permitted timeframe. And one moaning that Derby sold their stadium despite a categorical not guilty verdict on that. These are holding the takeover up, meaning we cannot sign players, cannot give players new contracts (so are losing them for sweet FA) and are facing liquidation. Meanwhile the EFL sit there and say “yes but technically if they win they will be football creditors” which by law isn’t even true.
    Good stuff.

Middlesbrough statement shortly after the EFL statement and fresh comments from Couhig in the press, all echoing the same sentiments, all trying to push focus back onto the admins and Morris. It’s clear they are ganging up to try and force the issue in their favour. Unlike some I am pleased by the admins decision not to engage them on their claims, and hope they do pursue things legally and get the claims shut down for good.

Someone on Twitter (I think) put it well: Morris was responsible for getting us into this terrible mess, but it is the EFL, Boro and Wycombe who are preventing us getting out of it. We've accepted our punishment and as far as the club is concerned, Morris has gone. The stadium is a separate issue really: he owns it, but needs to sell it for £20million in order to repay a loan he personally guaranteed.
Suggesting he has a place at talks is simply playing to Gibson's agenda. Gibson basically wants Morris to give him a share of the stadium sale proceeds and take a financial hit in repaying the loan. The EFL should absolutely not be encouraging or enabling this. It has nothing to do with the club, or what the club needs to do the exit administration. It's basically Gibson holding a gun to the club's head while demanding money from Morris ("You still love this club don't you, Mel? Well give me the money.")

    From 24th January
The EFL said on Monday: "Following positive developments over the course of the weekend, a proposed meeting involving the EFL and political stakeholders to discuss the ongoing challenges at Derby County set for later today has been postponed to allow for additional progress to be made by the administrators.
"It is now expected that the league and the administrators will sit down in the next 24 hours as we seek to resolve the outstanding issues to the satisfaction of all parties."
1 week later the transfer deadline happens, more DCFC playing staff leave
2 days after the transfer deadline comes this latest statement containing their belief that MFC & WWFC claims WILL be football debt, which they previously wouldn't rule on.
    Suspicious ??

Before I sign off the night and listen to the missus woes from work, just going to say this, don’t be angry at the EFL’s statement tonight, it’s a positive one for us and it clearly states their position which allows us to move forward with a high court judgment.
Whilst we might disagree on the side they fell into, it wasn’t totally unexpected and we’ve been desperate for them to come down off the fence for a while now, this is better than to continue stalling.
Quantuma have what they need now, the EFL’s position and proof of funds to see us through the next couple of months, time for court.

What another mess of an EFL statement
what does it say - it says the administrators can go to  arbitration or go to high court - Go to high court please and quickly
EfL are saying they will kick us out of the league if don’t comply with paying the parasites by means of a legal administration procedure kick us out then
The EFL are at last trying to organise a meeting between stakeholders (some who are not in administration?) I assume that’s because the politicians are asking why aren’t the EFL doing anything to resolve anything.
Middlesbrough apparently started a claim last January whilst no date given for Wycombe (inconsistent)
it’s taken the EFL until the 3rd of February 2022 to ask for a meeting to take place - absolutely abysmal leadership

What enfuriates me about the statement is the EFL putting the onus entirely on Derby to react to Middlesbrough and Wycombe's claims. At no point is there any effort to make the other two clubs actually prove the claims are valid; that apparently is just taken at face value and accepted.
At least the EFL have at last dropped any pretence of being neutral, if any proof was still needed

It means that the EFL would rather give credence to vexatious compensation claims than run the risk of being sued themselves. In so much, they make it abundantly clear that their continued existence matters far more than that of the member clubs they claim to serve.

    1. The EFL have announced tonight that Middlesbrough and Wycombe are football creditors.
    2. The EFL have announced that their rules override UK insolvency laws CIGA 2020.
    3. The EFL have suggested Quantuma take this to High Court, but don’t say if EFL rules will override the High court decision ( probably will )
    4. The EFL are putting two vexatious claims above the survival of a founder member of the football league.
    5. The EFL have no grasp of the mechanics of our administration in relation to the stadium ownership and secured loans with MSD.

Said on Friday I didn’t think the EFL were necessarily the bad guys, just a unorganised and incompetent organisation being taken advantage of. Now they have seemingly drawn their line in the sand I’ll happily say they are a corrupt as any organisation and can frankly do one because how they are acting is dreadful and needs calling out.
    This will never be forgotten.
