You never been injured on the Popside? It was a bloody nightmare at times!

Exactly my point, done properly It isn’t unsafe. The old days of terracing where people just rammed in until no one could move isn’t the answer either of course😃

Sounds like you only saw the stats, I'll sum it up for you but if you watched the game or the extended ignore it. We had one chance in the entire second half -you read that right- plus two half-chances in the first, nothing else of note; the other way keeper pulled two worldies, they hit the bar and came close at least a couple more times (50'-64'). Now I would agree the above against a tough opponent is "solid" if we were mid-table or lower, for an aspiring top 2/3 side at home I would call it "a stinker".

So be humble, accept we got the rub of the green (as has been the case numerous times this season, I make it win #9 where we haven't been the better side - 18 points right there for those who like their points and ppgs), be grateful for the result and move on, no need to get all snidey. Spare the gloating and glorifying for when we are actually decent and worthy winners, not after smash-and-grabs on our own turf. My tuppence anyway.

We had two good chances in the second half and we scored one. We have not had the rub of the green “numerous times this season”. How do you define the better team, yesterday we were the better team tactically and got what we deserved, in my opinion.

Creating a couple of blocks for further safe standing areas available on a match by match basis only might work, though that will inevitably mean asking ST holders to move, which will only end up alienating them instead of those currently having to put up with this behaviour. If this is allowed to continue though, I can see a few punch-ups starting.

Safe standing is basically people standing in an allocated seat, in my opinion it doesn’t address the issue. Terracing is not unsafe , done properly.

On the evidence of yesterday, with seats not often occupied more likely to be filled for the remainder of the season, there's an issue brewing with persistent and sometimes bellicose standing at the top of the south end of the West Stand Upper. Fans who didn't want someone standing infront of them had to face down fans who thought they could bully others into accepting their ignorant behaviour. A couple of stewards came up to take a look, but did sweet FA to force the belligerents to comply with the stadium rules. In fairness, they were severely outnumbered. If these fans persist, I can see the club being forced to bar match by match sales up there.

The only way round it is to allow clubs to rebuild stands and make proper terracing areas again, but sure it will never be sanctioned by the authorities.

Yes. 32,538 is what I heard the announcer say

Me too but the screen did say 358, ESPN have it as 538. 358 would suit me better for our pub guess the gate competition though 😃

This from DD proves beyond doubt then that they do include season ticket sales in the attendance regardless of whether they attend or not unless he meant to say "should" rather than "will".

Not sure it does tbh. It was very full today

How much is a sell out these days? 31,400?

Capacity has never officially changed from 33586, but someone posted on the forum a few weeks back that our capacity is stated at just under 33000 on the efl website somewhere. Will be c. 32500 today.

Trying to convert my Dads OAP ticket to an Adult ticket to bring someone to the game, can you do this online would i need to ring up/go to the ticket office? Tried initially online but doesn’t appear to give me option to change the name on the match ticket. Don’t want to leave it empty if I can help it.

Have to do it via phone or in person at the TO.

It would be good to be able to do it online as well as being able to change seats to another stand when required.

The drip-feeding of the last remaining tickets is in part a marketing ploy to make us think the tickets have almost gone so that fans will grab the last ones available “while they still can”. If they show all remaining tickets it removes the urgency to buy, and sales will slow down.

I bet you’re very good at conspiracy theories !

    What's the reasoning, any idea?

Other than tickets are kept for walk ups, and people that can’t navigate on line., not really. However in the premier league i am sure the 5% rule for tickets to be available as walk ups still exists , I think.
