Really like that! I think he'll be really good for football and hopefully Derby for a long time  I'm really liking League one Derby at the moment. I see Rooney has got some more press about going to DC Utd or something just makes me will media stories about him ever end? if he'd had stayed. always him the bigger news story than the club.

So you’re saying someone that’s a season ticket holder but had not been to a single away game all season had the same right to a ticket for Blackpool for the last away game as someone that had been to every other away game, right.

But is it fair that someone that cannot get to many away games but wants to go to one finds it a closed shop when they try to get a ticket? For popular games maybe you do it like cup ticket etc, e.g. How many away games you've been to. People that have been to 5+ get the first period of sale and so on.

The disabled ticket/carer ticket side of things online is a pain, wish it was easier, especially if you have had the reasonable adjustment form accepted, should be able to add the info to your account and that allow you to purchase tickets, be it ST or matchday, with relative ease. Sites like Ticketmaster have added the functionality, Seetickets did it years ago by linking Access Card details to your account.

I had a look at the renewal process for disabled yesterday, to me it looked like you could just select the disabled ticket then the carer ticket would be sorted for you....may have that wrong though. Always worth dropping Emma Drury an email to clarify.

    :edit:

As per next post, just looked at email I received yesterday from Emma and there is this bit of information:

    Thank you  ?

I agree you'd think it would be easier and they just add the Carer ticket . I think they're trying to make it easier I didn't need to show any supporting information which in away makes it more silly I had to go to the Ground still.

I've met Emma about once she seems okay but no one seems very helpful or easy to contact when you need anything.

  4. Renewed! That's 17 years in a row

I think its a shame for the Disabled Supported that they haven't sorted out adding the carer ticket on-line. So had to go the Ground to sort it out, as the phone lines are always busy. However only have to go through that farce once a year.

Looking forward to the season! Together we are Derby! It's in our DNA.  Born free as free as the wind blows etc

  5. I'm sorry but Tom is 28 and has largely never kicked a top flight ball. Okay if we did keep him he might rip up L1 but he could also break his leg and be worth nothing in a years time. Unless he signed a contract that was a lot less than what he's on now I really wouldn't be fussed about it as its a massive risk. I'm sorry again but he really isn't a great player in my eyes. Do you really think if Mel had any offers for him he would have ripped their hand off. No one else rates him highly if you ask me.

As I said, it’s only if the offer is right but we can’t afford to hold onto players until they have no value at all. That’s part of what our issues were, not just signing players for every new manager but having little turnover of players aside expiration of contracts.

Agree. Sibley could be a good player or not Time will tell. Personally, I think he'll knock round the championship he might get lower premiership given a good spell. However, weve been guilty of holding onto players for to long in the past then getting nothing for them. I'd take a million now for him easy.  We've got to stop worrying a footballer will become Pelè the second we let them go even if the signs are they won't.

Tom clearly enjoys it here and he’s played some good football here. Without him and his leadership last year we’d have been relegated by January. His goals are critical in our team and he is our talisman weather you like it or not. I don’t understand the hatred towards him

I just think the whole pub thing with Keogh gets in people's craw a bit with Lawrence. The way he mostly got away with it, it took a lot of focus of the field and wasted a lot of time and money. Okay he had sad reasons but it still happened. Was he Derby's worst player? No, did he play a lot of games and shine in some? Yes. Did he ever live up to his transfer fee or be the player he could have been? I'm not sure. But maybe for on feild and off field reasons other teams haven't come in for him until he was free. I'm sorry but I won't miss him.

I really don't think that's being fair tbh.  Obviously he wasn't absolutely amazing, and we probably overpaid slightly for him, and I know there were off-field issues, but for the most part he was always available, he played lots of games, we mostly used him in a way that suited his playing style, and he was reasonably productive over his entire time here.  Compared to a various other players that we payed silly money for, used completely wrongly and then paid to go away, there's a world of difference.

    I take your point.

Does anybody know If we were to bring money in from transfers are we then allowed to spend money on transfers? I was the under impression that currently we are banned from doing so under the terms of the business plan.

I don't think so. It would mean we could spend more on wages though I think

  10.  It would be a shame but if we get 5 million I think that would go a long way in League one, getting us 3 or 4 good players at least and on the whole giving us a better chance of getting up the table.

Plus better fee than Mel got for some.

Think he will get a move somewhere. Can't begrudge knighty if he did go. Would fetch a tidy sum of money. He has given Derby his all, as he should do. Hear Leeds are sniffing round him and would be a good signing for them ( please don't go to Leeds). Maybe frank will take him to Everton. Hope he stays but, have my doubts.

Agree, I would love him to stay. I really think he'd help us be in the right half of the table (that's all Im allowing myself in hope at the moment) but he's one we'd get good money for and living within our means cannot be something we just nod to know.

Nixon has reported that we are stepping in to try and sign David McGoldrick ahead of Middlesbrough.

Also, Conor Hourihane is expected to sign (as Barkhuizen did)!

I feel Nixon might be better at knowing about S.ignings than Takeovers. If we needed to know about signing before the season ticket information comes out we are doing okay ?

  13. 7 minutes ago, IslandExile said:

If that's true, and I have no reason to doubt it, and the current leases become null and void because of the takeover, again I don't know if that's the case, then......

It could take months to resolve. Bu*ger.

If that's true. I cannot think of a reason why its only being considered now! That is apart from Q being utter rubbish.

Thought about this overnight.  Any agreement, signatures needed from any third parties must have been in place with CK as the only thing that stopped going ahead was the transfer of funds, for whatever reason.  As per Wednesdays statement, the funds have already been moved.  So, trying to be rational about it, getting the signatures should be a formality but each parties legal teams will be making sure nothing has changed from those in place with CK.

Fingers crossed it’s today.  I’ve been off this week, hate to think what my screen time has been!!

I've been off this week too. I'd hate to think about many times I've refreshed pages.

I'm looking at it ,as,  we've never got this far in a deal before. Until the money was in,  what's the point of sorting out / signing off Moor Farm or land etc.  I cannot think its not just bits and bobs now!

The frustration is it pushies everything else back players and season tickets.

3 Retro have just stocked the blue 1994 away shirt that sold out online recently.

Was this the away top or the 3rd kit? I'm sure the other stripped top was the away kit but it was a long time ago?

Can’t believe anyone is worried if it doesn’t happen tonight. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. Clowes isn’t CK, isn’t Alonso, isn’t the Sheikh. At some point in the coming days we begin our new era.

If it doesn’t happen tonight - it’s no big deal.

Have we ever seen Clowes, CK, the sheikh or Alonso in the same room?
