Wolfie got a reaction from Tony Le Mesmer in Depression, anxiety, stress and other related issues
Wow I was literally now going to ask if anyone had experience of the effectiveness of St John's Wort.
I am certainly not claiming to be depressed but over the last few weeks I have been experiencing occasional days of low mood. Sometimes I don't realise it until the next day when I wake up fine and other times I know I'm being a miserable bar steward but can't seem to do anything about it. Then I get angry with myself for not being able to snap out of it. I haven't experienced it before - it's like it feels like I'm under a blanket or something & I'm trying and failing to lift it off me.
Mrs Wolfie has suggested taking SJW but I have no experience of it. I was once on anti-anxiety medication 10 years or so ago but don't really like popping pills. I weaned myself off that medication as soon as I felt I was able to and am wary of taking anything I might become dependent on.
I'd be grateful for any feedback on SJW or other herbal stuff.

I've worked in animal rescue shelters since 1998 and the number of dogs we've rehomed that have had to be returned due to sudden behavioural issues that the new owners were seriously concerned about I can count on one hand. Most rescue dogs just require firm and consistent training, an understanding of each individual animal's behavioural problems by the prospective owner and a long term commitment to implement these.
My bug bear is thick people who get pups such as Akitas then let them do what they want and 6 months later when it's the size of a lion and all over the shop and they can't cope they expect rescue centres to take them in and miraculously turn them into an instant rehomable proposition overnight. Jeez. Brains in their arses.
Also people who ring up and say they are moving house and can't take a dog so can we take it from them. Not a problem with this at all, that's what we are here for. Then you ask, "when are you moving?".
    "Tomorrow" comes the reply.
Presumably they've known about their impending move for more than one day so why not ring once they had found out?! It would give us time to find and allocate space.
Then we say we cannot take it, it will have to go on the waiting list as there is no room at the centre and then you get abuse and the "you're supposed to care about animals aren't you?" line.
P*** off you waste of space.
    Please.

I do agree (and I have never read an autobiography) but surely the problem is the stupid people who buy the trashy ones you refer to. No buyers = no market. They'd soon stop if some people just got a life.

    Sun loungers (part 2)
When you doze off and forget you're not in your king size bed and roll over, but cos you're on a 30 inch wide lounger, your rolling over causes the contraption to topple over and you land on a load of empty bottles you've stacked up, causing an almighty racket and you ain't got a clue what's happened cos you was happily away with it, thinking of naked Marges!

Isn't that because people sit & drop bags on the end of the bed - and presumably then complain about dirty bedding?!.
On a related note: What is it with women and putting bloody cushions on the bed? Drives me insane at home.

I've noticed that listening to 5Live since I've had a car with DAB instead of crappy AM. You can pretty much hear their nose hair rustling now.

I find that, in the same way that toast always lands butter side down, I will always open a pack of tablets at the end where all the paperwork is.

Interesting blog. Not sure I really believe it though. I know a long distance lorry driver and he openly admits that they do it because driving long distance is incredibly boring and annoying car drivers in this manner is one of their small pleasures*

when people are far too far in front of you to justifiably hold the door open, but do so anyway, obliging you to up the pace.
The acceptable formula for holding the door open is:-
(time it would take the door shut) + (door being shut < 2 seconds) < (time it would take person behind to reach door) + (2 seconds) = HOLD THE DOOR

Wolfie got a reaction from Rev in Rate the last film you saw partie deux
    Me Before You
Film about a grumpy quadroplegic guy, befriended by a kooky new young carer and who both may or may not fall for each other.
I like romcoms. I do. 4 weddings, Love actually and the first Bridget Jones film are some of my favourite guilty pleasures. This one, though, is the chickiest chick flick you are ever going to see.
It's just crammed full of every English upper middle class and plucky working class steretype and cliche you could ever imagine, presumably for US audiences. Yes, even more so than 4 weddings. Everyone is impossibly good looking. He comes from a very rich family living next to a castle (as we English all do) and she comes from the cliche'd happy working class family - her sister being Jenna Coleman (Dr Who companion) who for some reason seems much posher than the rest of them. It's just a bit vomit inducing with bugger all chemistry between any of the characters. It looks like none of them met each other before the first day of filming.
What miniscule bit of realism there is in the film was, for me, ruined by having an able bodied and very physically fit actor playing the role. Would someone who hadn't moved their body below their neck for 2 years really have a 6-pack?. There must be good disabled actors (or real people) who could put in a decent stereotypical grumpy disabled person (Oh, I'm disabled therefore must be miserable) performance. Or maybe they did try and no self-respecting disabled actor wanted to be within a mile of this trash.
I can't believe I heard good reviews of this a few months ago when it hit the cinema & I hope the book was better than this vomit inducing tosh.
2/10, and that's only because I like Charles Dance - just not in this film.

Documents you need to print off at home, boarding passes for example, that have all the necessary detail on pg1, but leave a advert/puffery on the next page, meaning you waste a whole sheet of paper printing out a Web address, or a buy coffee/roll, get crisps free advert!

Regular sized bags of crisps with an easy peel panel on the front to "make them easier to share".
    1. Share my crisps?
    2. Have we, as a society, really reached the stage where making a nick in the corner of the bag and opening it fully is too much effort or too complicated for people to figure out?

I have recently found this thread and am working through it, nodding in agreement with many of the posts.  I haven't read everything but I wanted to add this as it really gets my goat.
I hate it when you are driving round a busy, full is car park only to spot a space before everyone else.  You rush to it to get there first only to find that there is a tiny car - Fiat 500 or Smart Car for example - tucked right into the space making it look empty.

Cosmetics/Toiletries/Household cleaning products TV ads which are badly dubbed into English.
If 65m population isn't a big enough market for you to spend a few quid getting English speaking actors to play the roles, then I'm not going to give you any of my cash!. It's just lazy and insulting of the manufacturers, who must think we don't notice or we do notice but they don't care. Either way it's annoying.
