StarterForTen got a reaction from Patrick Rams in Frank Lampard
If, as you say, Frank knew how Chelsea and their owner operate, how can he have also have been naive?
I suspect he knew exactly what the likely outcome would be when he took the job, and a few more years of experience with Derby (or anywhere else) would not alter that outcome one jot - look at the calibre of managers they have hired and fired over the last decade.
When its your dream job you take it when it's offered. It might never have come round again.
He could have turned it down, stayed with Derby and seen his playing resources dry up (as has happened since the summer of 2019), in which case I doubt he'd have been in line for the job now.

The compensation award for unfair dismissal might be limited to £25k but I doubt it would end there as I would think Keogh would then sue the club for breach of contract.

StarterForTen got a reaction from rammieib in Kaide Gordon - signed for Liverpool
Looking back at the 'news' when he made the first team squad, there were rumblings that he was unlikely to sign pro terms with Derby as some very big clubs had him in their sights. I get the feeling that the lad would have moved on this month regardless of the current situation.
As people have pointed out, there is a compensation mechanism for young players developed with a Cat1 Academy but if we can drum up a bit of competition - Liverpool, Man United, Dortmund, etc - then a fee may well be gleaned of higher amount. Though, of course, the player himself (or more likely his agent) might have their own thoughts of where to go.
The sad thing is that, if this lad is as good as people say, then he's going to make a very good living out of the game and no doubt play for big teams during his career. If he goes now, he will be swallowed up in a sea of other top talent and probably not see the light of day for three years. If he stayed and signed pro with Derby, most likely he'd have 100 first team appearances to his name by then and STILL have the pick of the wealthiest suitors.
Hey ho.

Saturday could well give him a chance to shine. Looks like he may well be a starter if the first team and the U23s who train with the first team are sidelined.

Under current rules for players who do not have EU worker's rights (which may not apply in January), then no, he wouldn't get permission to work here.
Players have to be current internationals and have played in 75% of their country's games over the last two years.

Maguire got the ball, that is true, but the foul came after that when he followed through to make sure the opponent didn’t break with the ball. Have to say,for me, it was a yellow card every day.
The penalty however, that’s just a shocker. We’ll never get rid of VAR while there are knobs refereeing games.

I can't decide if this is comedy gold or racist bigotry of the highest order?
