First Christmas with my partners family, her mum cooked this beautiful dinner. Had all the trimmings, nicely cooked Turkey. It looked heavenly. Then outcame the gravy..... a runny, watery puddle of misery in a bowl. Wanted to cry. 
Cant believe people like thin gravy. They make a beautiful dinner then decide to drench it with brown water. Grim.

Is it a given that most drivers wont own up to hitting a car nowadays? Somebody (more than likely a neighbour) has made a slight dint and scratched my car just above the wheel arch. Granted it isn't that bad, will probably cost a couple hundred quid to fix. But that's not the point. Why not do the right thing and apologise, leave a note or something similar. Just think it's incredibly rude. It's definitely made me prioritise getting a drive for my next house than off street parking on a narrow lane. It's times like this you think I really dislike the human race sometimes. Zero honesty.

I can't believe cold callers are still going around people's houses these days. I've had 2 in the space of a couple of days. One wanted to check my energy meters to see if we could save money. There's no end of comparison sites online to do that for me.

McDonalds traffic causing chaos today. 2 hour queue for the Ripley McDonalds I've been told. Christ, I know people are bored but that's shocking. It's not that good.

First time for a long time where a game had side quests for the benefit of story purposes rather than grinding garbage. A sequel is being made for ps5 I believe, they've been hiring developers at the studio for the sequel specifically. 
Cyberpunk will be the next game investment for me, that looks fantastic.

Wicked game that I've not finished. The biggest problem with open world games is that random encounters are tedious as feck and the story pacing is off. But in the worlds of Days Gone and Horizon the random events are written into the story. The side quests are woven in. And the world is hostile so the open world is always interesting. 
Think a sequel is planned?

Glad you brought up Horizon Zero Dawn. It's the best game I've bought for my PS4, £15 as well. Superb immersive game. My partner had to drag me out the house.

Watched the 2019 The Lion King today with the lady friend.
Disney are so lazy nowadays. Let's remake all the classics and make billions. That's their film strategy. I watched it thinking, this is the worlds most expensive cut and paste job. Nothing new story wise, photorealistic lions are terrible for a film because they dont show any emotion. They look amazing, but that's it. Completely empty and souless. Not really crap but a pointless cash grab. The same thoughts on the new Star Wars films. Cut and paste, let's bring no fresh ideas to the table. Boring.

Another buzz word from our American friends is "simplification". Essentially, we've overcomplicated processes, trying to be too clever and now we haven't a clue what we're meant to be doing. The famous engine company I work for in Derby are making up these B.S. terms too. Can't disguise the fact the new products are money burners.
 

Was in a meeting last week discussing a restructuring of the company.. Basically we are yank run, so they have come up with the edict that we cannot use the word restructure, we have to use the term ‘reimagining’ ffs.. I despair.

I've had some issues and posted a little about my late wife's cancer, ultimately being bereaved, the struggles I had to cope as a single dad of bereaved children and how it nearly finally broke me and how hard it hit me when my dog got sick this summer. 
I thought I'd just share that I met a lovely widowed lady my age a couple of months ago, and she makes me happy. I make her happy. We're a couple now. Things can and do get better, no matter what life throws at you, you can smile again. Hang in there people.

People saying you've done something wrong, then not explaining why really gets to me. Something I really don't like in society. It's so much easier to criticise people then it is to give praise. I can take a hammering if someone tells me straight what the issues are. Something about sly negative comments from people really get to me, upset me personally. I don't understand why. Maybe it's the effects from school bullying years ago. Sometimes it really makes me feel worthless and I can't shake the issue off. I don't retaliate often, if I do it's in a controlled way.
Very bizarre how the mind works.    

Apologies if anyone owns one. Those huge suvs are too big for British roads and parking bays yet adverts promote them every 5 minutes. I kid you not, in the space of one day:-
1) One nearly took the front of my car off when turning into my road as I approached the junction. It just about made the turn without hitting anything.
2) I was parked in supermarket across from one. It was parked in a bay slightly my left. After pulling forward to exit their left, it then had to reverse back and then go forward again. Nothing wrong with that I suppose except a "normal" car would not have had to do it.
3) There is barely room down some roads for one to drive past me without a "close call" with my wing mirrors.
4) Parked up again. Had no choice but to park next to one so left as much room as I could for their door to be opened. Returned to car, yep another had parked on the other side. Luckily I am a very slim chap!
I drive a 2008 Focus so it cannot be down to me! Have people just got bigger over the years?

Had the same issue with Assassins Creed Odyssey. Brilliant game but it would take months to complete. I find missions on open world games repetitive after awhile. Seems to be too much focus on graphics rather than gameplay nowadays. And there’s not enough fun games to play either. Everything is realistic and serious, where are them daft games which didn’t make sense but were awesome?
