Sibley has been victim to being overcoached, not having a consistent run in the side and not getting a chance to play to his strengths. He definitely has got some quality and let's not forget, he's 22 and played over 100 matches. He can still grow to be a top player for the club.
His first full season was the COVID era. The whole team struggled to adapted to playing with no home supporters. Second full season, Rooney kept playing his mate Ravel Morrison in Sibleys position and most of his appearances after the first 6 games were off the bench. I think he only played 4 or 5 full 90 minutes. Then last season Warne chucked him in at wing back with full knowledge it wasn't his best position. Played lots of games but rarely played further forward until the last stretch of games where he was excellent.
He has not had a fair opportunity to play in attacking midfield consistently since supporters returned after COVID. Simple as that. With some more confidence, I think he can offer so much more creativity. Warne keeps moaning about the lack of an alternative going forward. He's got Sibley right in front of his nose and flat out refuses to give him a chance up the field.
Feel bad for the lad, he deserves much better than this.

I'm a little surprised about the performance. I genuinely thought we turned the corner and found a system that works well that blends our technical players and Warnes simple tactical play. I thought the lads strolled up, didn't take their chances and Cheltenham quite rightly had a bigger hunger due to them not wanting a horrible record in their history book. We completely underestimated the opposition and that's why we didn't win.
Warne has to back his team in post match interviews, you can't in this day and age be critical of your own players in public and expect any changes. Thought he came across very arrogant in the Radio Derby interview. Some of the questions were a little awkward but I don't appreciate the sarcasm when talking about putting Bradley on to win a goal from a set piece, over potentially putting Sibley on the pitch. No need for it, stupid remark. Gained nothing.
He seemed far too happy about a point gained and protecting the unbeaten run. You've got the biggest wage budget in this division, the best resources by far to get this club to the Championship. If you can't put in a half decent performance against a club who's top earner probably earns less than our lowest paid squad player, difficult questions are going to be asked by folks. As much as want us to go under the radar, we're a big favourite for promotion. There is nowhere to hide.
I keep hearing Warne going on about the league table, another naff result and we're stuck in mid table. The main positive however is we're unbeaten, that's what the manager is clinging on to. Without this, he would be getting more negative criticism from the supporters. We've got plenty of winnable games this month, we have to start pulling away from the rest of the pack and asking questions of our promotion rivals.

This league is so bad that Portamouth and Oxford United look like running away with it.
We couldn’t have asked for a better scenario with Blackpool, Wigan and Reading coming down and in disarray.
Throw in Barnsley, last season’s fourth best side, losing their manager and looking a lot weaker.
We should be p1ssing this league. There are no excuses.

SSD got a reaction from GB SPORTS in HS2 northern leg to Manchester cancelled
Without getting political about it, and risking this thread being closed, there are so many questions I have about this whole project from the higher ups involved. I was listening to the Rest is Money with Robert Peston and Steph McGovern (fantastic podcast) and they spoke in clear detail about why HS2 is just ridiculously expensive vs what France did with their high speed rail.
Firstly, our culture of NIMBYs makes all our construction projects very complicated. We as a country cannot build anything without endless red tape and going through so many planning departments and lawyers but mainly the big barrier is people flat out refusing to allow anything to be built near their property. The French get around this by essentially paying people compensation for the inconvenience which in turn is far cheaper than trying to manoeuvre around the problem and cause more delay and creating a huge bill for little benefit. I'm not say let's go full China and demolish buildings to make way for rail, there needs to be a more open approach to developing our infrastructure from the public, otherwise we'll be going nowhere and not be able to develop anything in the future.
Secondly our contracting costs to public projects is a joke. They completely rinse the tax payer when it comes to building anything for public use, whether that's hospitals, rail or roads. Having seen what builders charge to fix a toilet block at Royal Derby then it's no wonder everything costs so much. They add at least for a few more digits to the invoice and yet we've been paying them the bill. Now it's becoming a point of this is becoming so expensive that we have to start scrapping these big projects and cherry pick what we can and can't build.
They should have started on building a new line from Manchester to Leeds, but of course we have to make sure London is involved because that is the centre of the universe....

In a world where accountability is lacking greatly, a supporters board is a brilliant idea. A football club is not a typical business, it is a community. A community which gives great happiness to people in the local area and outside of our city. I am baffled why a certain group of supporters would be against this. The more variety of opinions the better.
After what has happened over the previous years to our club and what is currently happening now to other long established teams, the role of the supporter is more important now than it has ever been. Transparency is so precious and we should take advantage of this opportunity.
