  1. 60 minutes for TJJ? It's occurred to me that he and Dajaune are pretty much like for like which will likely lead to further angst. I feel like we definitely have some youth worth looking at, but the clammer to start academy products outside of the cup games I don't really get, especially when we appear to be on a roll right now. Hopefully we get a few more games where Warne feels safe enough to give them some minutes, if not starts.
  2. I can't fathom it at all, especially as some of those screeching the worst are the same folk that told us all he would be a L1 cheat code. Way too many chip pissers out there too, though they are slightly less tedious. Anyway, back on topic, loving looking at this: It's tightening up at the top and if we win our next game we'll be the most in-form team in the division, with 5 wins from from our last 5 games. It's fair to say that we've still a bit to prove, but it still feels pretty sweet right now and a good window could see us right in the mix. COYR
  3. And I merely responded to the point you made, did I not? You could have chosen to do likewise and address the points I made, but instead you've chosen to simply smear the Palestinians further. l think I'll take a rain check on further 'debate' as the whole 'the Arabs are just as bad' schtick isn't remotely compelling for me and I seriously doubt that the Palestinians are sat around completing polls right now anyway. Too busy burying their dead, I'd imagine.
  4. A decent enough performance. Another 3 points, this time away from home and with a clean sheet to boot, which the coaches will absolutely love. Could it be that patience is now beginning to reap its own rewards? With games coming thick and fast right through to the New Year, we are finishing the year in as good form as any side in the division and while tonight's was not a flashy performance, a la Barnsley, or Northampton, I thought it was thoroughly professional and comfortable enough, if truth be told. COYR
  5. Yeah, TJJ, your soon to be next mancrush.
  6. How's he got a hand on that? Brilliant save.
  7. Well that's a revealing school of thought, though not in the way I sense you intended. If, as you claim, there is almost wholesale support for the systematic slaughter of Palestinians, which the phrase 'very supportive of the war and its execution' unequivocally implies, then perhaps they've no right to whine about the anger of those who find said actions and the support thereof, utterly repugnant.
  8. Decent game so far. Both sides having a go.
  9. Already getting the arse with Ikpeazu throwing himself on the ground like a tart every two minutes 😡
  10. Yeaj just had a google myself. Was just wondering as the lines are miles in from the edge!
  11. Is this another absurdly narrow pitch?
  12. Call me whatever you like. ICGAF. It certainly does nothing to change my mind, that's safe to say. The IDF's conduct was genocidal in every sense of the word, as far as I'm concerned and it seems a large proportion of the planet agrees. Even plenty of Israelis. Doubtless you'd label them all racists and / or antisemites, though plenty seem to be decrying Hamas and the atrocities they committed too, which might suggest otherwise. Israel went too far too far this time, even by their standards, though one concedes that the provocation was extreme. That's a simple truth that whilst you push your rhetoric around legal thresholds, you have steadfastly failed to acknowledge. As Netanyahu will soon come to realise, as a result of the wholesale slaughter of Palestinian civilians, the eyes of the world will now be very much focussed on any further civilian killings in Gaza. Had Israel's response been remotely proportionate, public opinion might well have differed quite dramatically, but now many of those who were undecided or indifferent, are now anything but and there's no easy fix for that.
  13. Of course it's genocide. Nobody gives a tuppeny f*** about the legal minutiae, as sadly, I don't think anybody really believes anyone will ever be charged with war crimes anyway. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be though. Let's be honest here, when you wipe out 15,000 civilians, even bombing them as they flee, bomb hospitals, schools, raise entire neighbourhoods to the ground, deny aid and medicines, food and water, that ceases to be a merely a military operation. What you actually have is an annihilation and while you can pretend it's something lesser if you feel it serves a purpose, others will continue call it as they see it, whether you're stamping your feet and calling them stupid names, or not.
  14. Is the consensus that it was deliberate foul play? I can't actually believe that the player would try to maim someone, so was it just a nasty challenge that went horribly wrong and has the guy in question got previous for such things? So sad that a young athlete loses his life like this. Can't actually bring myself to watch the video.
  15. I was kind of joking really. Ridley Scott is a brilliant director; Bladerunner, Alien, Robin Hood, American Gangster, Galdiator et al, he has a wonderful back catalogue. He does however churn out the odd turkey, Exodus, Gods and Kings springs to mind and this and by all accounts is just as awful. Shame really.
  16. Yep, These are some tough lasses! Made me wince at times to be honest, but then so did the first fight when Taylor in particular took a lot of hard shots. Sensibly she went a bit more mobile and fought her own fight this time around. I say 'a bit', as there was more than enough toe-to-toe all the same! Only caught highlights and tbh, not seen a lot of Benavidez, but wow, that looked a wild old fight! He has some tools and looks a spiteful puncher, but he also looked reckless at times. Canelo has to be next you'd think, but like you, I'd have the Mexican winning that and IMO, pretty comfortably. The fight is apparently already agreed apparently.
  17. I'm intrigued purely on the basis of how much Ridley Scott has managed to piss off the entire French nation.
  18. 1Wildsmith 7.0 - love Joe - he's a 7+ more often than not and I think we did very well to sign him 24Nyambe 7.0 - Solid without being at his best 35Nelson 8.0 - Captain, my captain 6Cashin 8.0 - Love this lad, but he needs to time his runs for crosses and feee kicks - there's goals in him if he does 17Sibley 7.05 - Love Sibbo too and he put in a good defensive shift and worked hard for his teammates 4Hourihane 6.0 - Frustrates me a little as he is the least consistent player, when ought really be the most. Didn't do too much wrong in fairness, but the game was crying out for a moment of quality from him 7Barkhuizen 5.0 - Barks is right off it and needs time out to rediscover his mojo. I think his confidence is at a low ebb. 2Wilson 7.0 - Always adds something to our game and unlike some, I don't think he's just an impact sub. 12Smith 5.0 - Yeah, not his best game. Not sure how Korey fits into the side right now 22Fornah 7.5 - His introduction along with Wilson seemed to spark us to life. For me, he should be starting games. 8Bird 6.5 - Classy, but quiet by his own high standards. 5Bradley 6.0 - Gets blamed for everything it seems to me - not half as bad as some make out and I hope he has the character to battle through and show it. 11Méndez-Laing 9.0 - Probably not a 9.0 really, but who cares, he was the catalyst and featured in nearly everything good on the day - clear MOTM, which he seems to be as often as not right now. 9Collins 6.0 - Been in good form of late, but this was not his best outing 10Waghorn 6.0 - Can't actually remember so I've given Waggy a baseline 6.0 - nice to have him back fit!
  19. Really likeable lad who has been with us forever. I do hope he stays, though it's very hard to blame the lads or their parents if big money deals are being touted. I do get frustrated by these moves though, as while I accept that the current rules attempt to prevent youngsters being horse traded, many are just farmed straight out to the selling club's competitors anyway and any and all returns (or the lion's share) just go straight to the buying club, not the club that brought the player through. Equally, I do wish more of these youngers would hang about at the clubs that nurtured them for long enough for said clubs to reap some significant benefit, in the Bellingham mode. I appreciate though that that's probably naive and I do wonder what call I'd make were it me being lured away at such a young age.
  20. If he has to go then we need a decent prospect loaned back at no fee, on top of the compo. So sick of the big clubs just siphoning off all the young talent for beans, then sticking them in cold storage for 3 or 4 years before flogging them off at profit, having never let them play at senior level. This independent review needs to sort this sooner rather than later as it's a crooked game right now. That said, if the lad wants away, there's really not a lot we can do, but it makes me sad to see these players leave without ever even getting near to the men's team.
  21. Yeah, not a year that'll live long in the memory, save for the outright monotony of watching the RBR car vanish off into the ether every race. I suppose there's the fact that Ferrari have somehow managed to cough up 2nd place to Merc, despite the latter retaining the design fundamentals of a car I labelled an 'absolute dog' last year. Given that, I suppose it could be argued that Merc have done pretty well this season, but they've been nowhere near the pace required to win races and have greatly profited from the Keystone Cops of the F1 grid, Ferrari. For Mercedes, a major shake up is required if they are to be competitive next year. One big positive has been the resurgence of McLaren; we all know how fast Lando is and it's been great to see him put it up to the Red Bulls at times. Piastri looks a nailed on future WDC winner to me too, amidst several other exciting young'uns and even Yuki has got his nut down of late and he's looking pretty rapid at times too. Conversely, Danny Ric?!? Anyway, I'll be back, I'm sure, for Australia and hopeful of a more competitive series, but another like this and I think I'd be past caring. The sport is really in the hands of the teams now for me, as this feels like F1 is at a watershed; does it move forward as an entertainment business, or can other teams return with cars that can actually lay a glove on the Red Bull and deliver the kind of racing long-term fans yearn for? I fear the former, but will keeps fingers crossed for the latter.
  22. Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron in a re-match which was somehow even better than the first fight. Wouldn't put anyone off having a watch. Proper toe to toe stuff from two lasses with heart and some skills to boot. Cameron a little too static for me. She marches head on and first time around she got to Taylor in the mid to late rounds. This time though, Taylor was throwing combos to keep Cameron on her heels, instead of the single shots she of the first fight and she was landing plenty. This was a different Katie Taylor I thought, though Cameron's team might think they missed an opportunity and I'm already looking forward to fight 3 of what is already looking like a classic trilogy. It's nailed on to happen and these lasses aren't fannying about over contract terms 😋
