  1. Apologies if this has already been posted, but I watched this a couple of weeks back and whilst it's a harrowing watch, it's also a quite incredible piece of documentary filmmaking. The story focusses on team of Ukrainian journos stuck in a besieged Mariupol try to continue getting their reports and videos out of the city to the outside world, moving from building to building to evade the oncoming Russian forces as they do so. Not an easy watch, something I seem to say a lot these days, but it feels like a very important film and it certainly left its mark on me. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt24082438/ Charlie George / 10 @Amazon Prime Video
  2. I actually had the very same thought and I'm not even remotely superstitious! 😆
  3. Mate, folk aren't really wanting explanations because their minds are already made up and frankly, if folk can't see a use for statistical analysis in sports, then you're wasting your time trying to explain it.
  4. Misery loves company mate and they don't come much more miserable than him. I've blocked him now anyway along with a couple of others. Some folk just can't bear to see others take pleasure where they can't and he's one of them.
  5. Fans who care a deal more about being right than they do their club winning. I didn't want Warne but I'm so feckin sick of the carping from certain 'supporters' on here I hope he sees out his contract now just to wind them up.
  6. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  7. So not only are you content to have all your data with Musk, now you want to give him all your money to look after too? 🤣
  8. That's 90% of the Derby faithful dismissed then 😂
  9. Would love to see Prograis quieten Haney down. Haney was beat fair and square by Loma last time out IMO, only for yet another corrupt judging panel to award him the win. Sadly, I think Haney will win this weekend.
  10. Lots of silly stuff online about how he's just a sicknote and how we've bought another perma-crock, yadda, yadda. I think younger players are probably more at risk of being unsettled by that kind of SM bolarks, so it was nice to see him show his worth the moment he stepped on the pitch against Vale. His relief was palpable and the lads did indeed look chuffed for him, so my guess is he's been stressing. A promising start for sure, but I still don't know what kind of player he really is, but I thought he took his chance with aplomb and hopefully that bodes well for the balance of the season, should he stay.
  11. Huge step up for Pooper, as the fans call call him, now they've worked out he's actually a bit sh1t. Is he really ready for this though, having only managed small sides to date? Going to a big club like Palace brings its own pressure. That said, can he really stay? After all, you'd not be trying to see out your contract if Spyros wants shot of you, given he's the type to blow s*** up when not getting his own way. It's clear he's had enough already given he was quoted as saying 'I only put up with having to look at Cooper's face because he got us promoted, but now I've realised he's clueless, I might as well sack him, or set him on fire. I might even do both.' Not all bad though for Steve though, as while Croydon is a toilet, it's still an enormous step up on Nottingham.
  12. Ok, so let's run this one up the flagpole.... Musky bought Twitter for $44 billion, but around 30% of that figure came in bank loans. To facilitate, Sneaky Elon uses a leveraged buyout strategy, leaving Twitter and not the ordained one himself, on the hook to pay back said loans. Fast-forward through his catastrophic attempts to 'balance' Twitter, the entire X Suite debacle, which I told you would never happen (and I still don't believe it will) and now we've arrived at a point where he's deliberately driving every advertiser he has off his own platform. Add to that the recent poll indicating that less than 1 in 5 users would agree to a subscription model and it's fair to say X may now have arrived at destination f****d Are we about to see the world's most expensive toy, trashed then chucked in the bin? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-67599937
  13. I thought he had a good game. He was really the player who was key to restricting us to just the one goal. Had no chance with the TJJ effort, but got hands on everything else that came his way and in fairness, the distribution of keepers in L1 in general is pretty awful. The save on the deflected effort was top drawer and we'd have been gushing if that was Joe making it.
  14. Them not winning another game would quite interest me 😋 In all seriousness, I genuinely believe Sheffield are worse than we were and by a stretch too. Sadly, the bottom half dozen are, by PL standards, so colossally shyte, that they'll all take points of each other. Pains me to say it, but I can see the Blades ending up with 15 points despite being materially useless.
  15. Certainly more than defeating Hamas, that would seem to be the objective. I think the levelling of entire neighbourhoods is intended to ensure that whatever else happens, ordinary Palestinians will have no homes to return to. Reports today say that current the airstrikes and artillery fire are the most intense yet and still the West stands idly by with it's thumb up it's arse. It's maddening.
  16. Really curious to understand how this 'process' in any way damages Hamas. We're repeatedly told the aim is to wipe out the terrorist group, but how does levelling huge swathes of Gaza actually achieve this aim? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67565872
  17. I was never really concerned against Vale. Before we scored I always felt we would and afterwards, I didn't think ever looked unduly troubled. I said a few weeks back that it looked like Warne had the defensive unit in good shape, so there were no excuses for us not pushing on and I kind of feel that's where we're at right now. Solid at the back and pushing on.
  18. I think that's quite obviously the case given it does not occur within the club rugby scene, or at least very rarely. I'd dearly love to see one or two of these clowns who have threatened to harm his family left in a room with him for minute or two to see how brave they are then. It's just something you don't ever do IMO and it's high time that our legal framework afforded folk some recourse. Threats to kill in a pub, for instance, can land you in jail. Why should this be any different? Anyway, apologies for the ranting, it just make me angry.
  19. I'd probably avoid any and all options involving shyte, to be fair.
  20. And they're off again, six targets bombed within an hour of the truce ending and the indiscriminate slaughter picks up pretty much where it left off. In truth, the IDF continued unabated in the West Bank throughout the truce anyway, so any hope for a lasting ceasefire was clearly wishful thinking. Unsurprisingly, Israel has claimed Hamas attempted to fire a rocket an hour prior to the end of the truce and maybe they did. Who knows? What is clear is that there have been repeated Israeli airstrikes since 05.00 local time. I expect they're just mopping a few more 'Top Hamas Commanders'.
  21. Really depressing news around Owen Farrell who has literally been hounded out of international rugby. It's unbelievable the kind of two-bob ****s the big tournaments attract, but sadly, with the exposure to a wider audience comes exposure to braindead morons looking for someone to hate on. I think his career is drawing to a close anyway and he isn't the player he once was, but to see England's leading point scorer treated this way by so-called fans makes my blood boil. Having given all he has to England and the game in general, how must he feel now to have to leave because folk are threatening his f****** family? It's almost incredible. Much of the blame lies with the MSM whom I feel created the pile on in the first place and some alleged rugby correspondents really do deserve a good slapping. I'd love to know how many of these press 'experts' have even played the game to a standard. W*****s. Between them and the clowns at the RFU, it's small wonder players are heading to France in their droves 🤬 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/67568885
