  1. To be honest mate, DCFC Fans forumites have been pointing this out all season, myself included.
  2. Don't really do horror, least not the slasher, hacker type stuff. Leaves me cold. I did watch Se7en again the other night though, which I guess is a horror of sorts and it's still brilliant. Like you, I don't really love the Marvel stuff, though some of that ilk, I loved, my avatar being the clue. Don't mind an action movie either, though I can't recall offhand the last one I watched that I really liked. British drama and comedy still in a league of it's own, though I must say I do like trawling French, Italian and Scandiwegian stuff, likewise Korean. There's a lot of talented filmmakers out there, I'm discovering.
  3. Only seen a couple from your list; Ferrari which I liked, likewise, The Boys in the Boat. The former bravely pulled no punches in its depiction of Enzo, which is far from flattering, I thought, though Adam Driver was excellent. The Boys in the Boat is such a remarkable story that just the telling would be compelling enough, but I enjoyed the film too. Michael Mann is a talented chap and the writers aren't too shabby either. Fair pedigree! I've chucked your other recommendations onto my IMDB watchlist as having had a peek, they look a really good selection. Thanks for the heads-up mate 👍
  4. Good line up, but I fear the best we can hope for would be a 3 man midfield with Hourihane, Bird and Fornah. I think there's a strong argument to rest the skipper, but I very much doubt Warne will. I'd probably start Wilson too, until CBT begins to find his feet. It seems the 'kindest' option 🙊
  5. India look like they're in a spot of bother here: India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and batter KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second Test against England, adding to the hosts' problems. Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury and Rahul a quadriceps issue during England's 28-run win in the first Test. India are already without star batter Virat Kohli, pace bowler Mohammed Shami and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar and Washington Sundar have been added to the squad for Friday's second Test. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/68127753
  6. Simple fix. Get @B4’s Sister back on match threads. You're welcome x
  7. Yeah, that sort of nonsense would not appeal to a more mature and discerning viewer like myself. *loads Google search
  8. Well done @David I second Stive's thoughts about what you and the mods have built here. Here's to the next 15 😋
  9. Another to look out for is Radical - In some ways, a well-trodden path, but this is also a wonderful film telling the true story of an idealistic teacher's travails in a corrupt and violent Mexican border town. Won't say anything else other than I'd give it a strong thumbs up, especially for some incredibly nuanced performances from very young actors. Charlie George / 10* *He shoots, he scores In cinemas from May. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14570440/
  10. This is me too. We all know that Warne has blind spots and some of us did actually raise them when it became clear he was joining. I wanted Rosenior, but we are where we are and that's not going to change anytime soon. I'm not even 100% certain Warne will be fired if he fails to secure promotion, so the best chance we have currently is to back him and the lads and hope that his resistance to change is not his and our undoing. Is he the right man for the longer term. No, I don't believe he is, but he's not going anywhere anytime soon either, is he?
  11. 1. Uncle George - Perhaps a tad misty-eyed, but we played some wonderful stuff under George and it was a lot of fun 2. Steve McClaren (#1) - The only team in recent history that I literally never worried about conceding the first goal - Meh, we'll score more! Undone in the end though and a bittersweet memory now 3. Frank Lampard - Leeds 2nd leg was just unbridled joy and the way we played that night!!! Mostly though, only did what he should have having a strong team and then adding Wilson, Mount and Tomori to the mix. 4. Nigel Clough - had a few misfires but also got in some of our best value signings and the team was starting to play some really good stuff when they sacked him. I felt sorry for him. I thought he was poorly treated. 5. Darren Wassall - Nowhere near as bad as some made out at the time. Possibly not as good either. 6. Paul Warne - Jekyll and Hyde football, sometimes in the same game, but has produced two runs that were lovely while they lasted. 7. Gary Rowett - Kick and run, but he did manage a run to the play-offs. A bit meh, on balance. 8. Paul Clement - I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for **that** convo with MM. He wasn't bad, just a bit beige. 9. Liam Rosenior - had just started to click in incredibly difficult circumstances when released from his duties. Argued this was a big mistake on here and still believe that now. 10. Philip Cocu - was so happy when he arrived - undermined at every turn by players who could not grasp their role and a conniving Rooney who fancied the job as his own. On reflection, probably not the coach I assumed he was. 11. Wayne Rooney - He gets credit for the season when bar under Jewell, I felt we were most together as fans. The football was poor, given the personnel, but the enjoyment, oddly, was plentiful despite this. and our horrible circumstances. He's a sneaky **** though. 12. Paul Jewell - Absolute shyte, but it was great fun pretending we'd scored and singing nonsense and at least the fans were united and still capable of humour. 13. Phil Brown - Bit of a tart really, what did he bring? 14. Terry Westley - Who? I'd literally wiped him from memory 15. Nigel Pearson - Very briefly came around to thinking he might be alright. WTAF! Got plenty wrong in my life, but this was an absolute doozy. Wanted him gone almost from the off. Apparently came close to throat-punching MM though, so that kept him off the bottom place. 16. John Gregory - I can't! 17. Billy Davies - Made my skin crawl. Remember thinking after the play off win that we might be bang in trouble and so it proved. The wee man flashed his knickers at everyone and was as poisonous and toxic as managers come, but he did bring 'success' of sorts.
  12. Think I'd best invoke the 5th amendment mate, though I'm sure you could fairly accurately surmise my thoughts on the subject 🤣
  13. Botham perhaps understandably grabbed all the glory, but Willis produced one of the most hostile spells of fast bowling I've ever seen. He looked like some mad, malevolent spirit we'd unleashed and once given the ball, I seriously think Brearley was too scared to take it off him. Zero celebration of any of his 8 wickets save the last IIRC, the press and public had annoyed him by writing him off and Bob wasn't the kind of fella to forget such slights. Each one that fell, he just span on his heels and marched back to his marker with a face like thunder. Absolutely terrifying, but quite brilliant if you were English!
  14. That horse hasn't so much bolted as sold the entire farm and f***** off to the Caymans.
  15. Inadequate morons. If you really feel the need for a straightener, do it somewhere without women and kids around. Hopefully we see widespread bans for those who started it.
  16. 31Vickers 6.0 - Not doing a lot wrong, but I still favour JW. Josh looks very uncertain when required to deal with crosses and set pieces. Lucky not to allow Cheltenham to equalise with the last kick of the game. 2Wilson 5.5 - Wasted as deployed and had a rare off day too. 35Nelson 6.5 - Solid enough without being at his best 6Cashin 6.5 - See Nelson 17Sibley 6.0 - Anonymous first half, but improved after the break. Not sure where we go from here with Louie if he's not to be played where he needs to be. Annoyingly, if we do let him go we'll get peanuts given he's not even a regular starter right now 7Barkhuizen 5.0 - Scarcely noticed he was playing. One of a few who went into their shells. 4Hourihane 5.0 - Poor from the skipper. He had looked to be running into fair form even just a few games back, but he just doesn't have the legs for a midfield two and this was more reminiscent of his early season endeavours. 22Fornah 7.0 - Showed plenty determination and got around midfield quickly. I like him and I don't understand why he gets so few games. 8Bird 7.5 - Not great in a 2 (how many times do we say it) but bossed it once Fornah and Thommo added legs and targets in midfield 5Bradley 6.5 - I don't notice him anymore, so at very least he's cut out the brainfarts. In truth, he's probably better than we've seen as yet. 27Blackett-Taylor 6.0 - Willing, but this was not a great game in which to be making his debut. Understnadably a bit peripheral, there'll be better days ahead. 16Thompson 7.5 - Love Thommo, he buzzes around like Knighty, has plenty of technical ability and is no weakling either. Small and feisty, we look better when he's playing. 11Méndez-Laing 6.0 - A quiet game by Nate's lofty standards, but with mitigating circumstances. Willing, as always, but not much worked out for him. 9Collins 7.0 - Apparently still considered not good enough by some, but he'll do for me. Busy, without looking especially effective, he suddenly morphed into Zlatan to provide as sweetly struck a goal as any you'll see this season. 18 in all comps this season. Marvellous! WarneWatch - Soz, Warney but even I'm getting fed up with the 2 man mid experiment. I understand what you're trying to achieve, but not the personnel you are using. Well done on getting it fixed, but we dodged one this week. There'll be an understandable interest in the team selection vs Lincoln and I think it's time to swallow your pride and go with what's been seen to work best. Hopefully you have a few more to pick from too!
  17. Because that's the squad number he was given. Josh is 31 😋
  18. I think we've looked most solid with a back 4, Nyambe, Nelson, Cash and Fozzy being the incumbents, if fit. I think the intention was clearly to switch to a 3 and play with WBs, but it's rarely looked like it suited the players at hand, which I don't really understand if I'm honest.
  19. Not going to knock Josh, as I think we are fortunate enough to have two very good keepers at this level, but Joe has the better all-round skillset for me. I worry about Josh and crosses and I think Joe also edges it in terms of distribution. Both are excellent shot-stoppers, but again, my slight leaning there would also be to Joe. If Joe's on the naughty step then we should probably get him off it and get him and Nyambe back into our defensive unit ASAP.
  20. Agreed. And the Fornah rumour worries me too, if it's true. If Warne acquiesces and moves to 4-3-3, then surely he's not superfluous to requirements. Far from it I'd have thought. We looked a different side completely when he and Thommo came on and I'd struggle to see much logic in letting him go unless the he's is kicking off. Seemed pretty committed to my eye though, so hopefully just gossip.
  21. I quite like the one day internationals, but some of the other stuff seems more akin to baseball. I can see it's appeal, as those guys are launching the ball astonishing distances and it's pretty spectacular, but then you look at the Ashes series for instance and the high drama that can bring and short form cricket can't compete at all.* This series could end up being another absolute belter. *Unless England win of course!
  22. Oh dear. I thought it was just a 'need a quick break' type deal, I didn't realise it was something serious. I'm not his biggest fan (he's filled that position himself), but I'd still want to see him play. Big loss for India if that's the case and something a ruthless team might exploit.
