I think it's too late for us to claim against those clubs - Villa haven’t even been charged because their takeover muddied the waters - but QPR, Leicester and Bournemouth's "punishments" were delayed by a considerable period because QPR challenged the legality of FFP and the other two delayed settling with the EFL (they were in the PL and so a punishment couldn't be imposed) pending the outcome of QPR's legal challenge.
The biggest issue with FFP for me is that there is no integrated policy between the EFL and the PL, which has allowed "successful" cheats to benefit from their cheating. Compromise financial settlements are completely inadequate. How does Leicester's punishment relate to what is being done to DCFC? There's no comparison. The PL are 99% to blame for this imbalance by refusing to cooperate with the EFL; it's a scandal which gets little coverage in the media.

They worry me.  I dealt with administrators daily for a number of years and in my experience things should be further along.  The cost of hiring a team of three administrators can be 350-500 a day a piece plus court costs and the use of expert legal teams.  Even the use of one administrator for a small business who owes 50 k can run at 7-8k in bills.  There cost will be pushing 3 million quid by the end of January.  Honestly, I could write a book here but I've aired similar concerns as this has gone along, as well as try to ease minds a bit regarding payment of monies owed.  The easy acceptance of a 9 point deduction and pointless appeal over the 12 points for admin started the worry.  Haggling with the two Ronnies at either ends of the country over cash pay outs for 'cheating' really worries me.  That should have and could have been hammered down in legal red tape with grounds of no precedent and previous EFL acceptance from minute one.

The preferred bidder could refuse to pay Parasite 1 and Parasite 2 a penny I assume and agree to let the courts deal with it after the takeover is complete?
Still gobsmacked and annoyed that the EFL are letting these 2 scumbags take this forward at all..

I'm not seeking accountability, only to make sure that Quantuma are aware that the early platitudes are becoming a fading memory, for the little such notions appear to be worth.
By the same token, I'm sure the creditors share our hope that the required processes are being undertaken in a timely fashion since Quantuma will receive their fees in full prior to any disbursements being made to those who were owed money before the administration process began.

It's abhorrent what Boro and Wycombe are doing - they are going beyond 'chancing' a payout, they are striving to kill a historic football club. Shame on them.
If they have any case at all - and I'm amazed if they do - surely it's against the EFL for not applying the rules and punishments.
As for the Administrator minutes, I think folks from both sides of the argument have valid points - expectations have been set too high and it is more complicated than a second hand car sale.
Nevertheless, the ever shifting dates - now into February for the sale - are extremely worrying.
Kirchner's new found silence is deafening.
There is so little said about other bidders, rumours spring up of joint bids are then shot down again.
No one here truly knows what's happening.
But given the continual reassurances that a preferred bidder will be named soon, with the latest announcement saying it will happen by the end of this week.... If that doesn't materialise, then I will be seriously fearing the worse.
Being away from the area these days, I'm reliant on Sky and RamsTV, only attending the odd game. I doubt that the Sandiacre & Ilkeston Sunday Morning Pub League gets a lot of national TV coverage.

    So many inaccuracies in this post its difficult to know where to start but the main points are;
    a) you continue not to understand the difference between civil law & agenda driven EFL dieciplinary processes. You can not extrapolate the EFL retrospectively charging us with P&S breaches under pressure from other clubs into what would happen in a civil law court.
    b) massive assumption that no-one would buy a club or indeed business with threatened legal action. An assessment would be made on the strength of the respective claims first
    c) the notion our conduct has been so much more egregious than other clubs who have broken FFP is exactly the kind of drivel we've had to listen to from rival fans for the past year. If the EFL wanted explicit treatment of amortisation, they should have stated so. If there isnt explicit wording, clubs will find interpretations. Our accounts were publicly available & signed off by independent auditors...not deliberately hidden.

That won't be a decision, accountants will tell him he has to accept it and publicly, Wayne will put a positive spin on it....  As Jan window comes to a close we will be begging clubs just to take the bigger earners like Lawrence off our hands, if a deal to buy the club is not looking likely.
Anyone who thinks Rooney will have any say in this at all is deluded.  The only choice he may get is which player he wants to keep if its a choice of selling 1 of 2 players......

We were not eligble, because Mel would not show the EFL the accounts, no wonder with the embarassing mess he has left behind.

We should and will pay the HMRC what we owe them. Payment terms will obviously be negotiated, but we shouldn't be allowed to spend money on transfers until that debt is settled. It goes without saying IMO. I don't want the prospective owners or administrators to try and shy away from paying, what is essence public money, because we've been ran by a clown.
If we aren't viable with the HMRC debt then we aren't viable... unfortunately, it's got to be that cut and dry. People with money know what a viable deal for Derby County looks like and we just have to see if that's going to be the case.

That's quite a leap fella! I suspect a certain Wane Rooney would have something to say were the admins to attempt to 'pull the wool' in this fashion. With all due respect, I take it as quite the opposite and until such time as there is any evidence supporting your notion, it might be nice to not unsettle folk further.
This said, I share your disquiet at the length of time being taken and also concur with your assessment that they have moved from being very open and proactive in their approach to comms, to being quite the opposite. Has an administrator ever completed the process on time, I wonder?
Perhaps Rams Trust might have enquired as to what their fee currently stands at and what it is likely to be based on the new timeline, if only to make Quantuma aware that they too are under scrutiny and rightly so.

Negotiating with HMRC doesn't mean they are on board,if they were on board what they are willing to accept would probably have been resolved by now seeing as they have been in talks for a few weeks.

I know but it won't be Rooney's say so if it's a toss up between selling a player to keep us afloat or keeping someone that Rooney wants to stay.
I have to say the longer and longer this goes on the administrators statements sound more and more like PR spin or hollow government soundbites.

lt comes as no surprise, the mins have revealed nothing at all really other than we are a million mikes away from a sale.
    No agreement with:
    HMRC
    Mel Morris/MSD over the ground.
    Other Creditors.
    Preferred Bidder.
Boro/Wycombe should tell them to FO.
In a nutshell, we are a million mikes away from where we need to be and with deadlines constantly slipping, I have to question if a deal is even likely....
I really hope a preferred bidder is announced before Xmas, I have a feeling this will also slip too.  Who is going to part with £5M when no agreements are in place with several parties.....
Would you put a non refundable deposit on a house when you dont know how much it will eventually cost?

I believe that's why the HMRC pushed so much for the change so that they are entitled to their money. It's not about teaching us a lesson, honestly Mel Morris knew what he was doing when he stopped paying the HMRC and using them as a free-interest credit facility. I would also wager that he knew exactly the possible outcome of said debt when the chickens come home to roost.
He acted ignorant to the ramifications in his last interview, but anyone with half a brain knowing what was going on behind the scenes knew what was going on. We're only finding out now about decisions that were made by the previous owner that were undoubtedly made regardless to the determinantal to the long-term effect of the club. The non-payment to the HMRC being the standard of just how low he was willing to stoop in order to rid himself of any responsibility.

I stand corrected, the HMRC placed a winding up order on Bury for £50k, it faikee as the club contested it was actually £2.5k.
If they are prepared to duck a small club over £50k, they are hardly going to do a deal with us are they?

Agree with most of that, no chance of HMRC giving us a penny reduction.  They let Bury go pop over £500k we owe more than 50 times that amount.....

Don’t know about this. The numbers suggest HMRC has the power to put us into liquidation. So surely they will agree some kind of haircut. And deferring payment doesn’t solve the problem because it reduces the purchase price.
And the verbal deal with MM/MSD about the stadium price? Well the price will be decided by a valuer, and the cash I think goes to MSD then the club.
And the idea it is a problem only to have a verbal agreement with MSD is loopy. Quantuma is largely working for MSD in reality
don’t think The Athletic are on top of this at all

Why in god's name should we negotiate/give compensation to Boro and Wycombe? These parasites make me really angry it's not our fault that Boro couldn't get into the play-off's because they had a crap manager in Pulis and the same with bloody Wycombe they deserved to be relegated.

The Gadsby/Appleby duo does raise a few eyebrows. I don't believe they have the enormous funds at hand, but we know that both have overseen the club's best positions post-Pickering.
The one thing that I'm fairly sure of is that they're coming in to settle the situation and then make a sale of a club in a better position than it currently is, whilst making some money for themselves in the process. They protect the club in the short-term and make a smart investment long-term. I doubt they're going to be the ownership to re-establish a Premier League charge, but the club could survive with them at the helm.
I think Appleby, whilst never splashing the cash, made some shrewd appointments for the club overall. I really like Glick and when you look at the trajectory of his career since his time here then you must give Appleby credit for being a smart sport-biased business man. I really think we could do a lot worse than that.
I don't think I will be head-over-heels with whoever wins out the takeover, but anything to get the club back to a stable footing again will be appreciated for sure.

I think it’s more about moving big earners on in Jan and then hopefully we can keep our best young players and build for League one next season.
