  1. Yes notived at the game that the seat he has sat on for many years had, his scarf on it with the words, R. I. P. on, and some flowers on as well, i sit 4 or 5 rows down, he was so positive , and loved the Rams so much, he will definitely be missed by many Rams fans and others who knew him, so pleased Derby put a performance on today, B4 would have loved the teams positive attitude and result today.

But arguably playing the worst standard of football of a Derby team ever…

I wouldn’t mind the league position if there was a positive direction that the team looked like it was going in, but it doesn’t look like there is a grand plan or philosophy under Warne?

Seen alot worse football played by Derby, Docs teams of the late 70s, Addison early 80s god dam awful, and the 11 points season in the prem, losing at home by 5,6 and 7, so deffo not the worse at all, loads on here hated Nigel Clough teams, I did not, loads hated Rowett and Clement on here I did not, it goes on and on for some, lets support and back our great football club, we have been through alot worse as a club, we will bounce back, have a little bit of faith. 2-0 v Forest is my standout memory from my youth.
Back then the FA cup was more prestigious.

Yes great game, think it was 1982, and Archie Gemmill  scored for the Rams from a free kick, Peter Taylor was the manager I think, the pitch did not hardly have any grass on it but who cared we beat the red dogs in the FA cup.

This is just plain wrong. He hardly ever gets into good positions.

I agree with Jono, Roy how many games have u seen live, Collins does take up good positions, does not always finish them, but he does get in good pisitions, a little tip for you, go and see them play live once in a while and you will see more of what is happening on the pitch, hope u enjoyed the highlights of last nights game, much better, I am sure you will agree with me.

  5. First of all, really enjoyed the way we played tonight, back 4 excellent, played through the midfield , players running into space, a absolute  pleasure to watch, Bird outstanding, 2 very well taken goals to boot, Washington ran his wotsits off, scored one, and set one up, then second half, Mendez finished a very well worked goal, could have been 7, great evenings entertainment at PP tonight , it was definitely a treat, hope those who missed it, will return against Barnsley at home on the11th of November, which will be a bigger test, so the team, will need every Ram behind them, it's in our DNA.

Was that 10 goals by the end of the season or by the end of October?

It has been good of Rhodes to put on notice just how the most run of the mill Championship striker (at this stage of his career) looks in this f****** dreadful league.

I didn’t expect him to get 9 goals in 10 games, but assumed he would easily get 20 at this level. He looks like it could be on for 30+ if he carries on.

Also looks like I owe 20 pound now to Cancer research which is a win win for everyone.

    Thanks for the reminder lol

Yes it is a poor division, alot said we could not afford him. Which now with hindsight looks a shame.

Against Blackpool, i thought Nelson did very well against him, shows you what a great defender we have in Nelson.

  8. Enjoyed that tonight, and well done to the fans who went tonight, not getting on the players backs, nice to see Hourihane get applaud off the pitch as well

Right to the game, Bird was my MOM, he was excellent a joy to watch, first goal excellent footballing goal a great ball from Forsyth to Bird who played in Mendez and bang a great finish, thought NML had his best game off the season, also thought Kane gave his all, and the defence was solid, also good for Washington to get on the score sheet with a very well taken goal, now the important part, lets follow this up with 3 points away to stevenage on saturday. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

  9. I wonder how much cash we actually have to replace Warne if Clowes makes that decision, could we only have the money for a Warnock type to get us up, then look again, depends on how much Clowes can/wants to spend, as Warne and his backroom staff will cost a bit to get rid off, or do we take a chance on a unknown manager, think Eustace will be out of our price range, and will he be the one to get us playing free flowing football, not a easy decision to make, but obviously i don't know our financial state of play.

  10. Today was poor, although we did create chances, but again could not take them. Now i was always a massive Liam fan, but a lot on here and in the stadium said his style was to slow and predictable, I disagreed, saying yes we make mistakes playing out from the back but over time that would improve, alot of fans shouted get it forward quicker when Liam was manager, I believe  Liam tactical knowledge was very good and if given the time he would have done a job, our owner wanted someone proven so Mr Warne came along, now if we do get rid of Warne, any new manager will have to be given time, but after today and the fans reaction, can Mr Clowes keep the faith in Warne, for me sacking managers left right and centre does not work, but also how toxic it has been for Warne recently, can he turn it around, the trouble is, this year most DCFC fans expected promotion, thats why our crowds are so good both home and away, it's not turning out how most had expected or wanted, very tough job for the next manager, as he is going to a club who expects good football, winning football, and promotion, not a easy job, and for me who is in our budget to achieve this, but I can see it going really toxic if we lose on tuesday, then Clowes might have no option but to act, for me give Warne this season, but thats my opinion.

Fact check: Jim Smith got us promoted in his first season. Who knows, he might have been sacked if he didn’t.

Jim was nearly gone before that we started the season awful, and at Tranmere away, fans where calling for his head, fact as well, but good old Jim proved them wrong, and became a great manager for us, some times patience is required.

Well, I am a Warne in man. Not because he’s a genius, not because I like 3 at the back and flogging aging wide players to play the full length of the pitch. Not because sometimes he seems inflexible.

I am Warne in because we have all been too impatient in recent times. Because he talks as straight as he is able to, without betraying confidences that he has to keep. That despite some bumps, he has engendered a team sprit. He wants to win, never knowingly plays for a draw, likes using width of the pitch. Has probably done as well as anyone attainable for us could have done. The injuries we have had have been very unlucky. …. And biggest of all he deserves a chance over the length of his contract without constantly having to look over his shoulder in case he’s going to get tripped by his own fans.
Question him ? Yes. Put him on the spot Yes ! Undermine him in the considered way that some seem to revel in no.

The football is ok with some ups and downs. Still lots to do, isn’t perfect but I am fed up with manager merry go round. Unless we look threatened by relegation he gets my full support at least to the end of the season and maybe beyond.

Best post for some time, spot on, I agree with everything you said, lets move on as a club, and give a manager time, it worked for Jimbo Smith, and it could work for Warne as well.
