Speaking of counting and adding up, have you lot worked out how you're going to pay all these new Quantuma bills yet? Or are you just going to not botherand get the taxpayer to cover the bill like usual?

Bournemouth sold a load of players for big money when they were first relegated, and brought through quite a few kids. Their signings thereafter were relatively modest. 
Of course Forest had to strengthen their squad, but how many of those signings have played more than 15 games as a starter? Their struggle isn't an indicator that it's the Toughest PL For Years (another Forest TM I note), it's an indicator that they've signed few players that have performed consistently. If they stay up, see how many are retained and how many get a Greek holiday.

I dont want to defend Forest, but Bournemouth still spent a lot of money this season and haven't had to compete on a level playing field for a decade in the few times they've been in the championship.
Forest didnt have parachute payments and theyve been out of the top flight for 30 years. Some of the quality of the players they signed is dubious at best, but they had to spend money to have any chance of staying up. No other way to close the gap

you contradicted your own argument, chelsea are floundering in mid table and liverpool have been there most of the season because everyone else is so strong, there are no easy games like in previous years where teams could rack up points
 
look at the personnel, teams that have been stable in the prem for years and years and struggling. maddison / ward prowse are in 2 of the bottom 3 teams, that wouldnt happen in other seasons

i dont feel strongly enough to keep debating it, it cant be proven factually from either side of the argument but i have watched pl with personal interest for years due to a family member being involved, and it is by far the strongest its ever been top to bottom. there is no "dross" in the league, there have been plenty of it in the past, none this season as much as we all like to think there is because forest are there. its just not the reality, whichever ones go down will come straight back up even if they find themselves in a state

i think points tallies are irrelevant, the reality is everyone is in the mix and bottom can beat top. that isn't the case normally because the bottom teams are so poor
 
because the bottom teams are stronger it makes the points near the bottom lower, doesnt mean they are worse teams
 
just my opinion and of course not provable but i dont think there would be any other season where players like maddison, ward prowse could be in the relegation zone. west ham are about to get in the final of a european competition and arent out of the woods yet

I would define "hardest" as being most competitive, so highlighting 3rd place scoring more points 15years ago would highlight more strength NOW than it would weakness now.

So what you are saying is that our penalty last Saturday was not a penalty. The two incidents were very similar. The attacking player got to the ball first.

One problem is offering the city of Derby as an attractive place to spend the non-football parts of tournament life. Its a dump!

You haven't beaten us since God was a lad and have fallen into the depths of basically park football whilst we get promoted to the top league in world football. 
It's a bit of a non-contest in the banter stakes as a result and from a Forest perspective feels a little bit like a year 11 picking on a little year 7. So I'm guessing out of pity or pure apathy many reds have left you alone.

How many supporters at Pride Park are paying though? I'd heard local schools, Toyota and Bombardier were given thousands of freebies each home game.

My point isn't that the bottom 7/8 are good teams and better than they usually tend to be, but more there's no stand out rubbish like last year. The bottom sides aren't losing every week. In the last month alone the bottom 8 have all taken points off the top half teams.

That's why the games between us were going a bit stale in my opinion. Well that and you never beating us...?
Seriously though, the best period for the EM Derby was the Clough/Billy days so 2008-2011 when it was proper toxic due to so many ties on each side connected to the other. It came after a bit of a gap so that will probably happen again.
