SandiacreRam reacted to Day in DCCT Rams Family Fundraiser
Not sure what's going on this morning, one topic we have someone complaining where the 8k went from the Birmingham game, now £11k raised is disappointing as it's only from 335 people.
*335 fans donating on average £34 each is anything but disappointing, it should be applauded.
We have a sold out away end up at the Riverside which is a trek, throw in travel, food and drink costs those fans could be looking at upwards of £100 to go.
That could be pushing them financially to the limit.
I myself spent £100+ last night for a home game, which is practically an away game, we're not all local.
Also, the large fanbase will be made up of thousands that are not active on social media to know that this campaign is running.
A campaign which has been running for what, 48hrs?
We have pinned this topic to raise awareness for those that can, not guilt trip others for not donating.
*Excluded the £5k anonymous donater that could be a business, player, ex player.

Got back from Huddersfield approx 45 mins ago and catching up,on twitter and the Forum as you do.
A few observations
* Team gave it everything , when you consider the injuries this last week and the sending off we did well.
* Sibley was knackered, and it was the imo time to take him off, he hasn’t played for a while . I thought he put a real shift in, having to play up front with little support he still fashioned out two decent chances , thought it was tactically smart to put Plange out wide by Rooney.
* Huddersfield made three second half subs and I think our change in formation was partly due to that and that Rooney wanted to get Festy further up the pitch , upto the fluke goal I thought we were still well in it and wouldn’t blame the formation change for our defeat.
* Festy lucky not to be sent off, the booking was stupid ...having said that thought he was excellent, with the right coaching he could be some player.
* Our support tonight was magnificent, amazing what 1800 fans can sound like

I thought he wasn’t great first 60 against Birmingham ( there again most weren’t ) but once he switched to the right he was really effective and several times linked up really well with Bryne , hope he starts on the right today

SandiacreRam reacted to jono in Birmingham City (H) Matchday Thread
I’m not going to make it tomorrow, long story, mother in law died, then we got Covid ( very mild, negative now ) Mrs Jono needed to escape so right now on the Isle of Skye but Sky Go plumbed in. Big breakfast followed by walk on beach then the big game .. this is huge as are the next 2 or 3 .. if we can roll on and the results go with us we could end February out of the bottom 3. What that would say about Rooney and this team and the spirit of DCFC is immeasurable

Hi all
Been following this forum for years but only recently started posting.
Fantastic effort by everyone to be in a position where we might sell out on Sunday, great to see lots of folks bringing children for first time and even supporters of other clubs
With no PL games this weekend then we are the only show in town and we will get massive coverage ..that’s great...however as a fan base we need to keep going. We have three home games in Feb however only The Peterborough one is on a Saturday .
Although clearly ticket sales for Hull and Millwall important I believe Peterborough is a really good opportunity for us to get another bumper crowd in what hopefully is a key game for us , it also is 12 days before the next deadline..hopefully thinks will be moving positively by then , but if still bumpy another opportunity to ramp things up with media etc and bring vital income into the club.

Yep it’s good, just that two are nights and that makes it more difficult for folks( travel, school night, shifts) ..hope that some of those coming on Sat for first time/ first time for a while can make it to other games during Feb.
This season has been mentally challenging for I guess most supporters , I consider myself really fortunate in terms of family, hobbies etc but it has really got to me the last few weeks ( my wife of 28 yrs just doesn’t get footy and can’t really understand why I am moody?) god knows how difficult it is for those fans who are not as fortunate .
Having said all of that, it has in some ways been a good season...bear with me ...our fan base has stopped arguing with each other, the support in the Stadium has been exceptional, away support and volume outstanding and connection with players and staff/manager better than I can recall in over 50 yrs supporting ‘our team’...hopefully we will come through this and be .stronger for it
I have also been really humbled by genuine support from the vast majority of football supporters of other clubs , will certainly loom to support other clubs that get into difficulties moving forwards

Clearly going to be really busy on Sunday ....PP doesn’t really have much nearby ...good pubs such as Brunswick, Flowerpot, Alexandra that are all on route from town will be rammed( they are home only ) ...but if you get in early well worth doing as good ale etc ...Town is decent, buses go regularly from Outside Eagle Centre Market end ( opposite bus station ) so that’s an option..Merlin will be rammed so avoid that
