I was laughing at this thread a few weeks back, look like I could have egg on my face!
I reckon you could possibly do this. (EFL allowing)
If you do then no one can have any complaints, you’ve been punished and defied the odds. Well played.

Goal keeper for Scotland at the last Euros - yes an excellent signing - we can’t afford his wages of around £12,000 pw reportedly and we may need to pay Wigan more money if he plays more games but we are not sure on that - perfectly capable of being your number one goal keeper. Was never going to be playing this season as we signed a cheaper keeper in Allsop to compete with Roos.
He also let a dreadful goal in against the Red dogs last season then feigned injury out of embarrassment to be subbed in that game and never forgiven by Rooney hence he’s leaving - very decent keeper though

Started well, lost confidence and went downhill.
Decent Championship level keeper on his day.
I suspect his lack of game time is as much down to finances than ability.

I totally agree with you, Tony Fernandes collected ageing players as if they were panini stickers, we blew the lot plus about 100 million on top,it’s only now a hat we are getting on half decent footing, have a very low wage structure ( for the championship) and are still haemorrhaging 1-5 million per month.
Had the owners been sensible we could have been set up for the next decade, sacked Warnock because a few fans grumbled then got their pants pulled down by Hughes and Redknapp.

Just checked and the fine was 17 million but we had to pay 3 million costs on top.
The only reason QPR stopped the legal action was the EFL threatened to withdraw our golden ticket effectively blackmailing us into agreeing.

Totally agree, Austin acted like knob, I think the reason you haven’t had the support is based on Mel’s “got the EFL on strings” seemed to rub the hierarchy noses in it.
personally I’m in the “if the owners rich enough” he can spend his own money how he likes, if he then screws up then he should be liable for the unpaid bills camp.

Okay thanks for the reply, I’m not here to be confrontational, been reading this site for a fair few years (along with most championship sites ) and quite recently have seen QPR mentioned a few times. Not that it helps any I don’t think any team should be suing another.
I still have nightmares about QPR’s administration and relegation to the third tier in 2001, we had 5 registered players at the start of the following season, had a total rebuild and after 3 seasons got back into the championship.
I can still remember our “rich owners” stitching Derby up with exorbitant ticket prices as you’d just been relegated and deemed to be a category A game.
many of us weren’t happy when Tony Fernandes started buying players we couldn’t afford as if they were panini stickers and I think the other clubs are right to be ducked off with the way our club went.
it’s taken a few years but we are now doing things correctly and are just starting to reap the rewards. However I expect if we don’t go up this year then our young starts will be sold and we’ll have to start the cycle again.
Hope you get a new owner (pay HMRC off) and become competitive again.
    merry Christmas to you all.

Thanks I wouldn't want us to sue another club, but the behaviour of Boro and wycombe in pursuing claims against us that have way less merit than we would have against QPR is really sickening.
In our position it just feels like we are being blackmailed, pay up or we will delay a takeover which will cost us a fortune in administrators and solicitor fees and maybe even our club.
