VulcanRam Posted July 29, 2012 Share Posted July 29, 2012 I don't understand the excitement about Chris Wood, yes his names been making the rounds for a while now but that doesn't make him a good goalscorer. According to Wiki he's scored 26 goals in 118 games, making his ratio 1 goal every 4.5 games roughly. Whereas the Sammon kid has a ratio of 1 goal every 3.5 games roughly. Surely he's a better striker to have in the team? I saw Wood today for New Zealand up at Old Trafford. Nothing about his performance whatsoever made me want to see him in a Derby shirt. And before anyone points out that he scored, he did indeed, a scuffed effort unmarked from about fiur yards out. His touch, passing and shooting were not impressive and for a supposed big lad, carried very little aerial threat. His team mates weren't much better mind.
