I mentioned him to a mate of mine when we were talking about who we could sign. He was one of the 'last resort' options when we went through the list.

Did well at Watford and his career tailed off at Ipswich, he can be incredibly frustrating but he'll challenge for the ball in the air and if his attitude is right he'll put a shift in.

Atleast we have someone coming in though, if Mr Percy is to be believed.

Not surprised, he went on loan to Swansea and didn't get much playing time as Borini/Dobbie were infront of him, and given how may strikers Ipswich have that aren't even in their squads at the moment then he's not going to have been.

After 70 minutes at West Ham he'll be match fit for the next game i'm sure.

I knew you'd have something to do with this signing

Thanks, me and my friend chatting about Derby usually leads to signings.

You wait till Materazzi turns up at centre-back, you'll all owe me drinks then. Now if I could only bring in Akinfenwa........

Priskin set for Derby

Town striker Tamás Priskin is understood to be on the verge of joining Derby County on loan. The Hungarian international was a surprise omission from today’s reserves side which beat West Ham 3-2 in a friendly at Playford Road.

The former Watford man, whose contract is up at the end of the season, has spent much of his career with the Blues away from Portman Road having previously been on loan at QPR and Swansea City.

Interesting

Tamas Priskin is set to join Derby County on loan in the morning, with a view to a permanent deal in January.

The Hungarian striker, who banged in three goals for his country last week, held talks with Nigel Clough`s side this afternoon and everything looks good to go.

The 25-year-old cost the Blues £1.7m from Watford when Roy Keane fancied him to be the goalscorer Town desperately needed but things never really worked out.

Instead he got just nine goals in 69 appearances for Town and went on loan to Swansea and QPR and also turned down the chance to go to Doncaster earlier in the season.

They want to get rid and we need someone in, I bet both sides wanted that in there. Ipswich want to get shot of him any way they can, and we might aswell stick that deal in there to motivate him during his stay.

Plus, if he turns out to really like it here and hits a fair few goals, then we might be able to pick up a decent striker very cheaply.
