AlexW
jesus how many different articles are there. He's not that good and we don't need him. You don't think we need cover/replacement at left back for Roberts who turns 35 this season?

I don't think Leeds left back is going to come here for cover. I think he'd be a starter, perhaps not left back maybe left mid but then cover left back. I don't know, seems like it could happen but then again, I don't know... 10k a week? not a chance, be on 6 at the most!
AlexW
Considering we've got rid of 8 players this pre season, you'd think bringing in one player on £10,000 a week would be feesable especially when you take into account shackell, green, maguire and addison make up 4 of those, and that the two players we've bought in have come from lower leagues? A player on 10k would have to be our best player, as he's probably our highest earner. Clough would be brave to offer than to a young left-back. duncanjwitham
If we're going to break our wage structure for anyone, it'd better be a 20 goal a season striker, or a quality creative midfielder IMO.
Ambitious
There is absolutely no chance he will be on 10k here - Clough will not break the wage structure for a supposed left back cover. 6k at the very most

ramexpat
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has been talking about the futures of a couple of his players, and he says that he would prefer to sign a replacement before thinking about letting [url=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7909480/Leeds-duo-attracting-interest]Ross McCormack leave, while further talks are planned in an effort to keep Aidy White. We know from an article in DET that Nigel intends to use Ward up front more often therefore we need a left sided midfielder as Jacobs is primarily a right winger so White would be on the left and cover for left back when needed. Fielding Brayford - Buxton - OB/A.N Other - Roberts Jacobs - Hendrick - Bryson - White Robinson - Ward That way he takes a small gamble on Ward bagging a few and side steps the issue of buying a new striker 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Just a theory of course 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Brammie Steve
'twill be good if we do get Aidy to shore up the left wing, but why would a lad who's been brought up through the ranks and is now on 10 grand PW want to come to a supposedly cash strapped team like Derby? He is obviously on Nige's wish list but it is a question of whether he is willing to meet Aidy's wage demands. We await developments with interest but not optimism.
