McClaren can moan all he wants about needing new players. We had a one nil lead within 5 minutes against 10 men at home and we blew it. The board sacked a manager that had got us back to back top 6 finishes and hire McClaren. He proceeds to get us hammered by everyone and now we're in the relagation zone Our last 2 years success has been built on solid defence. At the moment,we're defending like an u10s team. Unable to clear our lines,as we saw for the winning goal. We've been without a left back for 3 ears because the chairman won't invest,so we put our best midfielder at left back instead . We also cannot get a decent ball into the opposition box. We probably had more shots in both Derby games last year than we've had in this entire season. Steve McClaren has got to sort this team out or hand over the reigns to someone who can. Hucknall Ram
Former Dutch champions FC Twente are courting Steve McClaren – the manager who took them to their first Eredivisie title in 2010. The Nottingham Forest boss was guest of his former club at Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Fulham in the Europa League at Craven Cottage. And FC Twente are keen to take the whole McClaren package, including his No.2 Rob Kelly, first team coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and goalkeeping coach Paul Barron to Holland. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Nottingham-Forest-manager-Steve-McClaren-a-target-for-FC-Twente-article800847.html

No passion despite playing our fiercest rivals. Eleven goals conceded in last four games. Bottom three. Mr Doughty, you dismissed a manager who motivated the team, earned results, consistently achieved top-six finishes and would not tolerate anything but 100% in any game, never mind against Derby. You replaced him with a man with, at best, a questionable calibre and inconsistent track record. Add to that several examples of lacking motivational and tactical expertise, at club and international level. Had Mr Davies tried to tell you how to manage your hedge funds I could understand you telling him to be quiet. You thought you were making a great decision in the summer. You have condemned the club, the players and the fans to a season of disappointment and embarrassment, and perhaps relegation. Take some responsibility. Apologise. Thank Mr McClaren for his efforts but ask him to clear his desk. Call Mrs Davies, say how sorry you are, and plead with her to convince her husband to at least take a call from you. If Mr Davies agrees to return, let him run the club. Leave him alone to get on with the job and put the team back on the right track before any more damage can be done. Or, you should resign now. Hucknall Ram
They talk about getting rid of ND, but the same argument I have our fans, who are you going to bring in, all you get is some rich business man, oh Yeah there loads of them about, right a sec you have one there now! davenportram
They talk about getting rid of ND, but the same argument I have our fans, who are you going to bring in, all you get is some rich business man, oh Yeah there loads of them about, right a sec you have one there now! Which rich businessman would pay up the £70m debt? That's a hefty chunk for anyone to walk away from. Forest are losing £12m a year - who in their right mind would pay anything to take them over. If Doughty was to go I reckon it would involve administration and some body paying £1 for the club.

Alph
What they need is a million, wait, ahem, A MILLION pound striker. Doughty deserves more appreciation. He's spent money. The more educated of them seem to be aiming their anger at that Arthur bloke, which would make more sense i think. But how quickly they can turn on fellow Forest fan Doughty. Had they beaten Blackpool or Swansea, they might not be so hostile.
Leeds Ram
Doughty is putting a ton of money into that club, and that is how they treat him? the man deserves respect for putting his money into that joke of a club, if they get rid of him let's hope they sink into the trent. Leeds Ram
Could of been spent more wisely in recent years by previous management well yes but that isn't his fault is it? all doughty does is write the checks, it is the managements job to sign good players. The fact he wrote those checks shows that he is willing to put money in to the club, and that is how he gets treated, disgusting. In my view we should name a stand after lionel pickering but hey that is just me.
