Rodders
beckham is one of those who won't be remebered as average simple as. Crouch has a very good goalscoring record for england something like 27 in 42 and tbh is a very giood player, beckham captained the england side for many a year amd a;ways tried, he has over 100 caps whioch an 'average' player couldn't achieve for england. He has talents on the football field very few in the history oft he gfame ahve had he had one talent. a decent ball.
GboroRam
His dead ball wasn't/isn't too shoddy to be fair.
uttoxram75
He scored against France....!! AND..??? They are a GREAT team aren't they? really ripped the World Cup up didn't they..? As for Beckham, everyone misses penalties...but as a captain, who is the greatest dead ball specialist the world has ever seen, you would have thought he would have "set a good example" by actually scroing his....and as for his personal life, maybe the "good example" he set has rubbed off on the legends that are Good ol JT, Cashley Hole, Fat Frank, Stevie G and 2 metre Peter...as they too are ALL shininig examples for all the kids in England to admire.. Quality rant that mate. The so called "golden generation" really let us down when it mattered.
MuespachRam
Quality rant that mate. The so called "golden generation" really let us down when it mattered. Yep, thank you...and I forgot to put Mr Rooney on the list of super nice human beings too....they let us down badly, they let themselves down and they let their families down. MuespachRam
Rooney has played against the same teams as Crouch has for england, and Crouch has a damn sight better goal record. still can't get over how you can brand Beckham as average, well McLaren dropped him.. how did that work out again? for some reason the summer of 2008 remains anonymous, wasn't their a birthday party/football tournament england wasn't invited too? And how many goals has Crouch scored against any teams that are actually any good..? Where as Mr Rooney (who I have not been sticking up for actually) has scored against Holland and Argentina I think.
Leeds Ram
muspech crouch can only score against teams who he is started against and he has done that very well. He scored within a minute of coming on against france who had a different side tot he one in the world cup. Also did he score against holland? when was the last time we played them? as my memory recalls I may be wrong but I believe we beat argentina 1-0 with a beckham goal. Nope, Crouch has never scored against any decent international teams ever at all. As for Beckham scoring the winner against Argentina...i take it you are referring to the World Cup where he eventually chickened out of a tackle that Brazil scored from....and lets not forget the Argentina game in France, where he single handedly got us knocked out of THAT world cup too... Also without beckham we wouldn't have even played agaisnt brazil muspech.

Alex W
you sir are an imbecile i'm not even going to waste my fingers explaining why No, do try, it's actually quite amusing. I could understand if he just didn't like them as people, but he generally believes they're crap players/managers. Very strange.

I do believe they are/were crap players/managers,yes. Maybe it is because I am over 14 years old and can remember players/managers better than them? Maybe I just don't get sucked into the media hype surrounding them? Maybe I have higher principals than you and don't allow them to be broken and consequently dislike them for that? maybe it is all of the above and so so much more. Leeds Ram
or maybe your just an arrogant git who needs to admit that sometimes your ideals and what you believe to be true is in fact incorrect. Also principles have nothing to do in thinking if a player is good or bad.

More like because we've argued about this for 7-8 pages of a thread a while ago before it was locked. Perhaps your opinion is very skewed? And have you not thought that my and others opinions are based on what they see, and not what the media says? And higher principals? You're having a laugh. Hartley Hare and I were arguing with you that we'd try and win football the right way or not at all, and you called us idiots. You sir, are blind to everything that does not fit with your viewpoint.
