1Wildsmith 6 - mostly fine but still the odd dodgy moment. Took an age to kick the ball clear and nearly ended up assisting a Burton equaliser!

35Nelson 7 - another solid game. He has settled in well.

5Bradley 6.5 - very respectable performance today. Surprised at how easily he goes over for a big man (bit of gamesmanship?) and the little Burton forward (Gordon?) kept giving him trouble by backing in to prevent decent clearance on Bradley's headers, but this was much improved on the first 2 games.

6Cashin 6.5 - worked his socks off. Passing radar still not fully restored and one or two iffy moments but good on the whole.

23Ward 6.5 - a couple of very decent crosses (a couple not so) and worked really hard.

2Wilson 6 - did he touch the ball?

12Smith 6 - not at the races in the first half but good effort and helped things to tick along as we got into the ascendancy.

8Bird 7.5 - well it's a shame about the sitter but otherwise he was very good indeed. Love to see him bursting forward with the ball and taking up good positions (even when he kicks thin air! Got an assist for good measure, second week running. He has the footballing intelligence and ability to do what he sees. A player with his head where it should be!

4Hourihane 7 - not great overall but he didn't half work hard and a great finish for the goal, so an extra 0.5 for that.

Waghorn 6.5 - looked sharp. Not sure he should get a 6.5 but decent sub impact with the sort-of-assist and I'm just following @Ellafella's rules.

3Forsyth 6.5 - solid throughout with the exception of that wayward header which gave me and Wildsmith a fright for a moment. Very reliable once again and good to see a bit of aggression from him too.

Elder 6 - not enough time to comment

9Collins 7.5 - great header and good all-round play. As said previously, people may want a newer, faster model, but most teams in our league would be very interested in a James Collins if he became available.

16Thompson 6 - copy and paste: good energy

11Méndez-Laing 6.5 - very ordinary in the first-half but pretty good in the second. Should have had an assist for the Birdie miss.

Washington 6.5 - can't argue with a goal; right place at the right time. Hopefully good for the confidence.

ATG

Wildsmith - 6. Not much to do but doesn't look quite as assured in places. Nearly a howler first half

Ward - 6. Delivery not quite as good as last week

Nelson - 6.5. Steady and did what was needed

Bradley - 6.5. As above

Cashin - 7. Brought it out nicely a couple of times and wasn't tested too much.

Forsyth - 6.5. Calm influence and always an outlet when kicking longer from keeper

Smith - 6. OK, kept it simple

Hourihane - 7.5. Good goal and assist

Bird- 8. Superb second half. Looked a cut above but needs to add consistency.

NML - 7. Probably should have scored a couple but industrious and a danger

Collins - 7.5. Worked away as ever and got his goal

Washington - 7. Comes on and gets a goal albeit offside but do him good

Waghorn - 6.5. Not too long to make an impact but involved in 3rd

Wilson/Thompson/Elder - n/a

Can't be bothered to type it all out.

6.5 the lot.

I don't think Warne can ask for much more than a perfectly consistent performance from his team. 😉

1Wildsmith - 6.5 Not really tested but did save a tame effort from Hughes. Distributed well despite the swirling breeze.

35Nelson - 6.5 Sturdy and safe. Clean sheet.

5Bradley - 6.5 Safe & sturdy. Would like him to lead more. Clean sheet.

6Cashin - 5.5 Got done a couple of times and wayward thrashes forward to lose possession.

23Ward 6.0 - want him to contribute more and deliver more.

2Wilson 6.0 - late late show.

12Smith 6.0 - did his job in a game where midfield was bypassed.

8Bird 🦅 8.5 MotM Brilliant 2nd half. Could’ve scored but for a case of acute tangle-foot. Beautiful vision and defence-splitting passes and took a blow to the face. He is the cpu - when he ticks Derby tocs.

4Hourihane 7.5 Great dead ball for the opener and beautifully taken 18yard side-spinner into the onion bag.

Waghorn 7 Brings energy and nuisance factor like a wasp on a late September afternoon. Assisted Wash to make it 3.

3Forsyth 6.5 Very dependable clean sheet.

Elder 6.0 Late, late show.

9Collins 8.0 - Probably his best game in a Derby shirt. Link- up play was A1 and ran around like a dervish. Lovely glanced header to score early which was very key. Enjoyed his game and gave his opinion to the Burton manager.

16Thompson 6.0 Sent on to shore up and did his clockwork passing without fault.

11Méndez-Laing 8.5 Contender for MotM; terrorised Albion with power-speed-control. Outpaced their backs with super-thrust but missed key chances or brought saves from their GK. NML is the key this season to unlocking defences.

Washington 6.5 Slotted home, to seal the deal 3-0.

It was a scrap all the way & Bird’s 2nd half wizardry was like flashes of brilliance from a grey sky. At the game you could sense that Derby had the extra desire and willingness to compete and for that Warne takes the credit for engendering following the flat Blackpool Tuesday. The lack of midfield control concerns me but I enjoyed the occasion & couldn’t help feeling a little for Mason Bennet who’ll have had nightmares last night.

@one_chop you can copy the first post in the topic and paste the players’ names which is what most people do; then simply enter the number by the name. It’s a 10 second operation at most. See picture below:

Did the pass from Wag deflect off the defender?

How come Cash didn’t get a clean sheet 😬
