Charlie George
Just read on of the DCFC FB pages that then original Rammie AKA Dean Mottram has passed away aged 55. Believe he was the first full time mascot in English football. RIP Rammie and forever grateful for the memories. ??? Foreveram
I remember him when we were in the normanton stand and he would do the half time entertainment stuff and then get changed and sit near us in the second half, such a young age, sad. sheffieldram
In the mid nineties I was manager of the Safeway in Alfreton and thought it would be a good idea to ask Dean if he would come in one Christmas wearing the Rammie outfit for an hour and surprise the kids shopping with their parents. It was a disaster. The first child he saw burst into tears and there were more Forest parents who were not happy to be approached by Rammie than Derby fans. We laughed about it afterwards but for weeks after I was given a hard time by Forest fans shopping in the store. Ewetube and 48 hours

Not sure why they'd be niggled by bumping into the Derby County mascot in the County of Derbyshire! That's like driving around Edwinstowe, and being surprised to be surrounded by sprigs of broccoli! ? Anyway... RIP Dean. Rample
His kid(s) went to the same school as my niece so occasionally saw him at the gates. Nice guy.
Macintosh
A huge Manchester City fan and loved his nature. Not bad at tenpin bowling either, a regular at Ilkeston Bowl.
