I enjoyed the tail’s fight to respectability. They batted sensibly and well. Disappointing day though only made worse when somehow I mis-placed my pint cup and lost my £2 deposit! He’s had a decent year for a 22 year old playing in England for the first time, scoring over 1000 all format runs. Averages: Championship - 32.06 One Day Cup - 34.28 T20 - 25.76 One century and seven half centuries across the three formats. He was fun to watch when he got going, but we didn't see it enough. Coupled with Lakmal being often injured and largely ineffective, we didn't get enough from our overseas players this year - though Zaman Khan was good in the T20. We're a bit too feeble to walk a mile and a half to the ground, so may use the cricket Park and Ride (driving 1.5 miles south, then getting the bus which stops outside the main gate).
