Play your best players.

So that means playing an attacker at wingback? Or do we got 4-2-3-1? If you want Vyds, Jerome, Weimann and Lawrence in a system with three at the back, one of them has to play a defensive role.

I’m sure Rowett will do what he thinks is best, Do Fulham play it through the middle? Or lump crosses in?

What ever style they play seems to be effective, whoever plays needs to keep Carney is it? Quiet. And Mitrovic up front.

If we can do that we’ll have a chance.

oh and that winger, dembellys or what ever his name is.

3-5-2 without a doubt. Have two forwards(playing very high) and have 3 in midfield to match them. If we only play Johnson and Huddlestone in midfield, Fulham will pick us off. It may mean keeping Vydra on the bench but the team is the first priority.

Olsson's likely injury makes 3 at the back less likely I would think.

People can't seriously be suggesting playing a largely untried Weimann as a left wing back against such a dangerous Fulham side, so 3 at the back will mean a more defensive setup with Pearce in the back 3.

Weimann played as a left wing back against Cardiff and was arguably our best player. A wing back doesn’t have to be good defensively, it’s more important that they have energy to get forward, which Weimann has a lot of. Anya will be back for the play offs and he’s a specialist as a wing back so that’s another option.

Probably but isn't anya due back? That's a perfect position for him

No, he played there for 20 minutes.

To date his only 20 minutes in that position in a Derby shirt.

If you think any manager worth his salt would take such a gamble from minute one of play off first leg then I'm afraid you're living in cloud cuckoo land!

Anya however...

We were terrible until the formation change against Cardiff and Weimann as a left wing back helped a lot. With a 4-2-3-1, Fulham will pick us off apart in my opinion.

Forgot about Anya ?,,, also it’s poss to shuffle them over with fozzy playing wingback and wizzy going into the back three with a youngster playing right wingback ? Tell you what ,hasn’t rowett changed the vibe of having a hotchpotch of different players for wrong systems to a positive one of having options

Fulham are one of the only sides in the Championship where you have to plan for their players. A lot of teams have good players but you can largely get away without focusing on specific players. As Boyce and others have said, they have a number of players who need managing - Mitrovic, Cairney, Sessegnon, Fredericks at RB will cause problem.

I think we will go with the 3-4-2-1, with Vydra on the bench and someone quick at LWB

Fulham play with width and double up on opposing full backs. I can see a case for 4231.

Then again, I think mentally our players seem to have had a new lease of life in 343 and I wouldn't want to rock that

343 is the one for me the players appeared more comfortable in it. Hopefully Anya is back.

The risk is getting overwhelmed in midfield with their 3 vs our 2. So a forward will have to drop in to help.

We are at home though so we should at least try an attack we have looked better when we attack rather than sit back and let sides come onto us.Their defense looks ropey tim ream was awful at Bolton and fredricks doesnt defend so i think that is a weakness we should exploit.

We need an advantage to go to Craven cottage with as well because we never do well there. Hopefully there is a physiological element for Fulham with the dismay of losing out on 2nd, along with their unbeaten run plus a horrendous record in the play-offs.
